He came because of SIN, that started with Adam, not to save animals used for sacrifice. But to save US.

To give us His Spirit so that we have the power to no longer sin. That is why God gave us His law to guard us UNTIL Christ came. The law couldn't stop us from sinning because of the sin nature left in us. Jesus came to take away the one thing that was constantly spewing out sin - the sin nature. That is the whole purpose of His telling us we must be born again of the Spirit! To remove the heart of stone (the old nature) and replace it with a soft heart. We must be born again of the SPIRIT. 1 John 3:5 And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

Read the prophecy of Daniel on why the Messiah was coming.

To finish the transgression,
To make an end of sins,
To make reconciliation for iniquity,
To bring in everlasting righteousness,

Look! No more sacrifices, and no more law pointing out sin that isn't being committed! Why? HIS SPIRIT. The Spirit is the seed of the Father. 1 John 3:9 says "Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

What Jesus did for us is bigger than you have been led to believe, and most people understand.

No kidding! That is what I said---The animals represented Him--He died for us to save us from sin ---that is what I said. You do not seem to be paying attention to what is said!

Well, let's see if we are saying the same thing. Does a Christian sin and need to repent over and over, or is all desire to sin suddenly gone?

LOL! Even Mother Theresa had to repent sometimes!
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

You are reading Romans 7 as if it applies to a Christian. LOL No, it is a comparison with chapter 8 about the LAW vs the SPIRIT. In other words before Christ and after Christ. The verses you copied and pasted are BEFORE Christ. ROFL.

Read it again in context. ^_^

Rom 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Rom 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Rom 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Rom 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Rom 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Rom 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Rom 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Rom 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Rom 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Living according to the flesh is NOT an option for anyone who wants to inherit the kingdom of God.

Is that all you want? Be thought of as a Christian in this life, but burn in hell in the end?
It seems that you believe that salvation is by works.
If you believe salvation has to be "maintained" by works, this is also salvation by works.
Because, no works = no salvation.

Romans 4:4-5
Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.

Do you walk to church? Did you make your bed when you got up? Turn on any lights? Do you travel far to church that requires driving your car and buying gas? Do you eat pre-prepared cold sandwiches and do not use your stove? Do you do the dishes after meals?
Even the sabbath is done away according to this section and all the ten commandments in their ministration. And no this does not mean we should steal, or kill or lie etc today. Love works no ill to his neighbour. We are in the law of Christ, the law of the Spirit, not the law of Moses.

2 Corinthians 3:6. Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.7. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:...9. For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory....11. For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious....13. And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished.”

And Jesus said keep “my” commandments. His commandments are seen all through the New Testament and in the epistles.

His commandments are distinguished from Moses law.

Jesus would say things like this

Matthew 5:27. Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:28. But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”

Can you imagine the reaction if the Pharisees when Jesus is saying that Moses said, but I say unto you?

In Romans 7 we see that a believer can not be married to the law of Moses and Christ at the same time in the New Covenant . That would be a false thing. Just like a man who is married cannot go and marry another while his wife if married to him. Some today act as if they can now keep the law of Moses and follow all of it because they are also in Christ. This is not the case we are dead to the law by the body of Christ to be married to another.

In Galatians 3 we read similar where they began in the spirit and then were trying to be made perfect by the law. But the law made nothing perfect. However God working in us makes us perfect unto every good work through Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 13:20,21 KJV) .

I see that in Galatians where the Gentile Christians were being badgered by Judaizers to keep the outward signs of the law, but I don't see Paul addressing that in Romans 7. I see him defending the law as being holy, but the problem with trying to keep the law is our sin nature.

The law is actually made stricter, not more lax nor abolished.

No one could ever follow ALL of it, not even Yeshua. Do you know why?

I disagree with your statement.

Not coveting your neighbors ox has nothing to do with actually loving your neighbor.

Not committing adultery has nothing to do with loving your neighbor.

Good for you! I disagree with you. If you love your neighbor you will not covet his ox nor commit adultery with your neighbor's husband or wife. IF you did, you would not love him...
