This is a very bizarre article!?!?
:oThey also reject any suggestion that they should move out of the district because of this.
that was my thought... there is a point at which your "right to be where you are" is trumped by the "obligation to care for your child when no one else will"... obviously they don't get that.:o
Once I read that I refused to read further. 3 years of regular physical assault in plain sight of your younger child is not enough to remove your child from a violent situation?![]()
I don't think that is any consolation to this boys' mom.
there is no alternative for us.No, it's not. Neither was the article nor any pity that is expressed here. That's a completely separate issue.
As a parent I'm outraged and I hope other parents who see this learn that there is an alternative to public school.
Are cyber charter schools not available in all the states yet?there is no alternative for us.
I don't consider myself smart enough to homeschool, and we cannot afford private school.
and just because you homeschool, that doesn't mean your child will not be a victim of bullying...say in a playground or at a friend's house.
I know a child who is being bullied by her own cousin!
Are cyber charter schools not available in all the states yet?
As for the child being bullies by their cousin, why would a parent continue to put the child in a situation where it would continue? I don't think we can prevent all possibilities of bullying but we can take the action to prevent it from happening repeatedly once we know.
but when that's not an option, the parents are obligated to remove the victim...cyber charter schools??
why not remove the bully?!!
He/she will only do it to someone else when their current victim is gone.
it's the bully who needs to be addressed i think.

see, that's my point! Why wouldn't that be an option?but when that's not an option, the parents are obligated to remove the victim...
