I quit using their antivirus a few years ago because it was so bloated and slow. That, and it didn't seem to actually catch anything. I near soiled myself after I ran Malwarebytes the first time.

Can't say I'm surprised they're doing this. I guess they had to find some way to bolster their income.

I’d have wonderful success with Windows Defender (Windows 8).
I used Microsoft Security Essentials when I was running Windows 7.


Yep there is nothing wrong with Microsoft Security Essentials

Interesting. I've used it for years, it has caught things, and I also have tried Malwarebytes and it has yet to catch anything additional.

This news merits a yawn, at best.
