Not all of them, no but about 40 million people from Latin America with black, African ancestry would probably disagree with you that they aren’t black or Latino or that it has to be one or the other.

The question asked to her is essentially, "why should Latinos concern themselves with issues that affect black people?" Would you be defending that statement because a minority of Latinos are in fact white? Or is that just deliberately sidestepping a racial question by equivocating 2 groups of people?

If he weren't a successful baseball player, or even in spite of it, he could easily be targeted by some racist simply for being black, regardless of the fact he's Latino. It's his black skin that's the issue to some. BLM, whatever feelings you may have about the organization or how valid their arguments are, is considered primarily a black issue. Her point is that there are black Latinos and the issues that affect black Americans can just as easily affect the Afro-Latino community and that there's reason for them to get involved in it.
I don't get what is so hard to follow here or why this is controversial in any way. That's probably also why the media isn't covering this non-issue.

She did sort of avoid the question about how to fix racism but Ana’s point of contention seemed to be centered around this idea that Latinos aren’t black which is as silly as saying North Americans aren’t black.the actual question was
“What do you think the Latinx community should do to stop racism among them and among other races?”
Instead of answering the question by telling the questioner what the Latinx community should do to stop racism among Latinx and among other races she makes a bone headed statement which seems to be implying that Latinx don't have to do anything to stop racism among them and among other races because they are black.

Why did she not not say Latinos are White! we are Euro-Latina and we run an entire racial spectrum. Would have made exactly as much sense as an answer to the question as what she did say.

Did she ever say all Latinos are black? If not then we’re both operating off conjecture here in assuming what she actually meant. I could take the line “we are Afro Latina”... does that mean she thinks all Latin Americans are women?The questioner did not ask about BLM the questioner asked about racism among Latinx and other races . AOC is the one that brought up BLM . Factually she is wrong by saying Latinos are black! When one says Latinos are black one expects it means All Latinos are Black and when one says We are Afro-Latina one expects it means All of us i.e. WE are Afro -Latina. Factually she is wrong by saying We are Afro-Latina. Factually she is correct in stating that Latinx have all sorts of different racial ancestry but that is totally irrelevant to the question she was asked.
