I hate to break it to you, but a high percentage of folks who claim they are christian, believe the following; evolution is true, noah story is a myth, miracles likely never happened and the bible is loaded with contradictions, errors and is not historically reliable.

You can always then claim that these people are not really christian and I have no problem with that, because the definition of what a christian is has morphed into many forms for a number of years (mostly from scrambling to acknowledge scientific findings that can no longer be ignored).

If that is the case, the number of "true" christians in the world (and especially the United States) is much lower than the latest polls show (60-70%).
Kinda like two atheists getting married in a church, isn't it?

Do you believe all scripture should be interpretated literally? I hope not, because in Exodus 19, God tells Moses that he took the people out of Egypt on the wings of Eagles.
Do you believe all Scripture should be interpreted poetically? I hope not, because in Genesis 1, God tells us what He did, how He did it, where He did it, when He did it, what order He did it in, and how long it took Him to do it.

Craig is a highly skilled debater and he does an excellent job at setting ground rules that he demands in advance (more power to him), but he is also the king of "circular reasoning" as I have watched many of his debates and he comes into them with a presumption that his God exists and deftly avoids the need to produce objective evidence.
Sounds like my kinda guy!

I hate to break it to you, but a high percentage of folks who claim they are christian, believe the following; evolution is true, noah story is a myth, miracles likely never happened and the bible is loaded with contradictions, errors and is not historically reliable.
How sad for them.
John 1: 9-11

Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

Matthew 7: 21-23

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Proverbs 3: 5-7
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

It is very clear that God not only desires, but expects that we have faith in His word.

2 Tomothy 3: 16-17

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

I don't believe the above will change their minds!

Not all of it, as the structure of Genesis 1 shows. Read the link.

Scripture contains letters, poetry, songs, history, prophecy and the law. God gave us common sense to work out which is which.

You are on dangerous ground.

The bible is full of errors. As a Christian, you should know this. Why are you acting as if there aren't any contradictions, errors, blatant untruths, geological errors, geographical errors, sociopolitcal errors, historical errors? Stop it, you're making other well informed, educated Christians look bad.

Those are assertions lacking evidence. Name one.

And in Matthew 13, Jesus explains how he often talks in parables in order to keep the uninformed from catching on to all the nuances...

Maybe God's been leaving you out of the loop for a reason?

And Jesus' parables were real occurrences that He witnessed.

Jesus' parables weren't just made-up stories; they were real happenings.

And for the record, the Bible doesn't start off: "Once upon a time..."

It starts off: "In the beginning..."

Credible to the professional field of scholars and historians.

Seek them and you shall find.
No offense, but if you like them -- I'll pass.
