  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

1 “If you, Israel, will return, then return to me,” declares the Lord. “If you put your detestable idols out of my sight and no longer go astray, Many want to know what they should be doing to prepare to meet God. General stuff. 1

Reader... The bible is an interesting Light. Its words on a page, but its really the Spirit of Revelation, given by God through about 40 authors who produced the spiritual dictation that we read in a 'Holy Bible"... tho some are anything but, however, that's a topic for another Thread. God...

    What abbout heaven?

The heaven is the place where all is good is what people told me. If you have only known suffering here, there all will be different. But just a quick scenario, if you love someone who is a staunch atheist and will go to hell for his/her sins. But you repented you will go to heaven. Wont that...

Sin at the time of death

Let's say you are saved. If you are sinning at the exact moment of your death (anger, having bad thoughts, etc)---say a car or truck crashes into your car and you die instantly---will you go to hell? If you were lusting over someone the night before, and you know you'll probably do it again...

My buck and a half: if you've confessed your sin, but still doubt your salvation, pray for the lost

Hi there, So this is a really simple trick, that I thought I might share - I have often struggled with whether I am saved "in the right way". What I learned was, once you have made commitment to take up your cross daily, actually your focus should be - for the most part - centered on Jesus...

    A Broken and Contrite Heart

Psalm 51 English Standard Version (ESV) To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly...

    Joy in Heaven

Luk 15:7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. Luk 15:10 Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” So from Jesus' words when one sinner...

Surrender The Need To Be In Control And Place Others Above Oneself!

How easy is it for us to fall into the trap of behaving in a way that drives us to feel the need to be in control? Yet, it is our human nature to live this way. This nature causes us to want to make everything fit within the framework of our own understanding, and when it does not it can effect...

Where in scripture does it say to repent of your sins to get saved?

It really confuses me why a lot of people say "repent of your sins" in order to get saved. I can't find anywhere in scripture where it says this. We should repent of our sins after we get saved as a sanctification process and to grow in Christ. And of course we should confess our sins to him, do...

Have You Entered Through The Narrow Gate?

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14). The spirit of this world has convinced so many into believing...

Come off your cross and join the Holy Spirit!

Hello, So in coming centuries the gospel will be preached around the world, the seals will be broken, the trumpet will sound and God will pour out His Wrath on the Earth - but what God is asking in this century (before all that!), is that we unite our hearts in the Holy Spirit. What does that...

    A Biblical Case For Repentance

I believe the Sinner’s Prayer is just another way of the Bible saying to “Repent.” My Biblical Case For Repentance: Introduction: Please keep in mind that the word “repent” can carry multiple meanings in the King James Bible. When it refers to God, it often signifies His grief or His...

    The prodigal son

I’m wondering if the prodigal son is also for Christians who fall into a lifestyle of sin but come back to repentance? Some people say it’s just about sinners who were never saved coming to Jesus. The prodigal son was with the father, then he left to enjoy sexual sin until he came to the end of...

Will I be forgiven for this?

I apologized to someone for acting out against them and lying to them last night. After I apologized for the way I acted, I also apologized for lying to them. Practical Ways To Fight Porn(/porn Addiction)

So the reason I wanted to share this was mostly, I want it to be helpful. There's been a very interesting topic about porn in the marrieds forum, it's been an issue I've struggled with most of my life, and something a lot of Christians face. My hope is these steps have both practical and...
