  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Why are Mormons generally disliked by society?

A lot of people are against the religion, and honestly I don't really know why. For as much as I've looked into it, it is still a religion like any other, still Christian even, and doesn't seem to raise a red flag for me. My boyfriend of two years is Mormon and I am a Protestant Christian...

LDS Why don't Mormon missionaries hand out the tripple combination?

I've run into Mormon missionaries a few times, and I've talked with them and done some research. Which led me to my question. Most of the distinctive Mormon beliefs seem to come from the Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price, rather than the Book of Mormon itself. So why not hand...

The Story behind the Story, Ether

How strange that the name Jeredites is no where mentioned in the Tower of Babel. Even more so is the fact that the continent of the United States did not exist in the time of Jeredites as Joseph Smith claimed. Dr. Morian documents in his highly professional treatise, that vivid tales and...

    Are Mormons Christians?

Disclaimer: I do not mean to offend members of the LDS church in anyway. This is just a simple discussion of people on the internet. I just wanted to see what CF thinks. My Church officially does not recognize Mormons as valid Christians. I know certain Evangelicals and liberal Christian...

LDS BOOK OF MORMON FALSE HISTORY 2

Acts 11:26 reveals that the disciples of Christ “were called Christians first in Antioch”. Around 40 AD. Alma 46:13,15, dated at 73 B.C., has people already wearing the name “Christian” which is a 100 year difference. Which is true and why?

LDS BOOK OF MORMON FALSE HISTORY

Ether 9:19 speaks of elephants existing in America around 2250 BC. However, elephants have NEVER been native to America. In fact, history PROVES that the first elephant was brought to the US in 1796.

    LDS Mormon vs Christian

Christian: There is only one God. (Isaiah 43:11; 44:6, 8; 45:5). Mormon: "And they (the Gods) said: Let there be light: and there was light." (Book of Abraham 4:3). Christian: God has always been God. (Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 57:15). Mormon: "God himself was once as we are now, and is an...

    LDS Question for mormons

If the words “familiar spirit” in Isaiah 29:4 refer to the Book of Mormon, why do familiar spirits always refer to occult practices such as channeling and necromancy everywhere else in the Old Testament?

    LDS Question for mormons

LDS Biblical Jesus Vs. Mormon Jesus.

Biblical Jesus Vs. Mormon Jesus. Simply believing in someone named Jesus means NOTHING unless we are talking about the historic, Biblical Jesus. The apostle Paul warns us in 2 Corinthians 11:4 — there are some who preach a different Jesus. - The Bible teaches that Jesus has always existed as...

    LDS The Nature Of God.

During the course of speaking with local missionaries on WHO God is, i compiled this for them. The Nature Of God. "Take up the Bible, compare the religion of the Latter-day Saints with it and see if it will stand the test," (Brigham Young, May 18, 1873, Journal of Discourses, vol. 16, p. 46)...

    LDS Mormonism

Mormonism says there are many Gods and that you can become one, they say Jesus and satan are brothers, they say Jesus did NOT make atonement on the cross. They say God the father was once a MAN who had to EARN His way to become a God. They say you must learn secret handshakes and passwords and...

LDS Wondering About the Godhead and the Trinity

Hi. I'm wondering about comparing the different concepts of what some call the Godhead. I'm not sure, but I believe many Latter Day Saints believe in a Triad. I know many Christians believe in a Trinity. I'm wondering what the logical or scriptural arguments are to support each, so that I might...

LDS Q&A with Elder Jeffrey Holland at Harvard

This very interesting Q&A with LDS Elder Jeffrey Holland came up in my YouTube related videos (I guess I'm getting a bunch of Mormon videos in there now thanks to the two I've shared here before), so I figured I'd share it here. A lot of it is boring "rah rah, Mormonism!" cheerleading stuff, but...
