The Book of Mormon teaches that God is a Spirit.7 Mormon theology and scripture teaches that He is a glorified resurrected man with a body, parts and passions.

Which is true and why?

Kiwi, your source is lying to you. The Book of Mormon does NOT teach that God is a Spirit. Rather, your source is ripping one line out of context. The context is a *pagan* king mistakes Christ missionary as "the Great Spirit", part of his Pagan belief system and clearly a physical form. The missionary then teaches the king about God, starting at where the king currently understands and teaching Truth.

Totally. Many times they haven't at all.

About a decade ago I actually saw someone suffer a psychotic break.

His main "debate" strategy involved copying & pasting material from other websites, tossing in his personal spin, and calling it a day.

Suffice to say that he was completely unprepared for the prospect of people responding to him, let alone people going point-by-point and responding to the individual statements.

All he could do was respond by spamming more and more copied & pasted materials. Past a certain point, it became apparent that there was an inverse relationship between the amount of pasted material and the coherency of his personal statements. By the time he ran out of material to copy, he was so full of fury and pride as to be on the edge of incoherence and rage.

Oh yeah, I've seen more than a few people like that over the years too.
