  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In Middle Earth would Jesus be a hobbit?

Despite any overt Christianity (religion?) in the LoTR etc one can perceive a Christian/religious subtext. Jesus was a servant from a humble background who practiced what he preached - namely self sacrifice for the common good. Hobbits were also humble people who served and loved each other...

    Is Jesus a Socialist?

Why did Jesus feed the hungry, tell us to take care of the sick and to invite the stranger into our house? Matthew 25 Isn't Jesus promoting people to be lazy? Like today, if someone is poor and hungry you tell them to get a job or if they are sick, you tell them to get better coverage and if...

Once saved always saved, or abundantly saved no matter what is always?

Hi there, So yes, I think I have an answer to the problem, of whether you can lose your salvation and for how long you can keep it, all in the one answer! We are abundantly saved! That means there is an abundance of ways to respond to salvation, right to the end! The concept of abundant...

We need to radically rethink what it means to be loving

I hear a lot about how unloving Christians are when we say that certain acts and "lifestyles" are sinful. In response to this accusation, I point to the Lord Jesus: 13¶“But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men; for you neither go in...

    The Road Less Traveled

An Original Work / October 24, 2020 I had a choice between two roads – One was narrow, and one was broad, One was honest, and one a fraud, One of the devil, one of God. I had to choose which one to take – The road less traveled, will it do? Or should I choose what others do? Which will be...

    Thoughts on Prayer

Hi all. Over the past few years I've really struggled with my prayer life. Sometimes the struggle was good in that it resulted in growth and sometimes it felt like I was just getting by. I often struggle to know what to say. Am I saying the right things? Am I talking enough, or too much...

"From Nothing" a praise song about God's amazing creation

Hi all. I really like this song. I believe God is the ultimate artist and that he takes joy not only in his creation, but the efforts we make to imitate his artistic joy in our own lives. The creator takes joy in our efforts to please him!

The world feels threatened, from beginning to end

Hi there, So I realise you may be struggling spiritually; and you may be wondering "Why do people attack me?" I just want to say 'you'll get through it', nothing has tempted you but that which is common to man (1 Cor 10:13) - these threats you feel, this doubt you have, is all because the world...

[MOVED] It's like I'm addicted to the approval of the Church?

Hi there, The Kitchen Sink, seems like a good place to put this: I really don't think it fits anywhere, to be addressed to the Church in General, but not some or others, depending on how its interpreted. The question is simple: "Am I addicted to the approval of the Church?" I suppose if it came...

The Devil doesn't want converts to believe they are chosen and appointed

Hi there, So I have been a believer for many years now, and I have frequently struggled, with what my faith means. I said the line "Jesus, I make you my Lord and Saviour" in direct contradiction to the verse "you did not choose me" John 15:16-17. The systemic problem then, went back to what...

You can receive of the rapture, even now - just humble yourself to the mighty Cloud of Witness

Hi there, So I heard from a guy called Kevin Zadai, that God is preparing us with His angels - waking with each day, to give us insight into Heaven. But it goes further than this: there is one who just had revelation that the Cloud of Witness, is able to speak to us about bringing the Power of...

What are you going to do, when the only thing you are afraid of is evolving in to Hell?

Hi there, So there is very little about this, in the Bible: evolving in to Hell - but there are scriptures which point in its direction. Mark 9:43 "if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you, for it is better to enter into life lame or maimed, than to be cast into Hell"...

    Ephesians 2:14

Ephesians 2:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; (NOTE: The Temple area had 4 courts: The Court of the Priests. The Court of Israel. The Court of the Women. The Court of the Gentiles. Only Levitical priests had access to...

    Technically, God propels "Creation"

Hi there, So a useful truth for developing a relationship with the Lord, is consider God's creative relationship, with Creation. The Bible sets out that God is separate to Creation (that He is hovering above it), and that He moves from there to an affirmation of what was created, according to...

Struggling in my faith Scared and feel hopeless. Running out of time ?!?!

Hi, I’ve been a Christian for 5 months and I’ve been struggling in my faith. I’m also new here.. and I’m 16 So I saw a thing earlier that said that people were celebrating the gospel being preached in all nations and it scared me because when that happens Jesus comes back. And apparently the...

In principle, if there are more questions than there are works: something is wrong?

Hi there, So I posted this thread about the difference between faith and works, and I didn't get a single reply - so I thought I would take the tangential subject and clarify - for our sakes, if anyone - how long or far you can ignore the relationship between faith and works: before you get...

If Darwin created "Evolution" *again*, all he would do is change the name (to begin with)?

Hi there, So, for whatever reason, people don't like anything new, to Evolution - but I don't think that that would be the approach that Charles Darwin would have taken. I suggested there is negative 'Evolution' for example, and no one seems to be able to understand, that what you give can also...

The Feasts of the Lord are the foundation upon which ALL Scripture is built. These special day's...

Am I two people? What is my true self, the good or the evil?

I do know I honestly believe in Jesus, and hope beyond hope that reality will be eternal life. I also honestly wish to follow all the teachings of Christ, and to be a servant of God. So this seem to indicate I am a good person. The same time I suffer, but perhaps deserved, because I've truly...
