  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What does God expect of me?

A vital question that sometimes can make me think, what do my fellow Christians or the Pastor, expect me to be? Sometimes I find it easier to tell God what I expect of Him... to watch over me, comfort me, heal me, forgive me, Now I must think and pray after asking myself this question

    He Opened His Mouth

Matthew 5:1-5 ESV Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down, his disciples came to him. And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted...

    Who Greatly Delights!

Psalm 112:1-3 ESV Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. We...

Did I not understand when God was trying to bless me?

I’ve been working on a new skill for the last 1.5 years. Back in November 2018 I had a great opportunity to apply all my new knowledge and skills and possibly quit the miserable job and work for myself. I was super cautious, trying to have perfect timing, and due to some circumstances, I’ve...

    Will A Man Rob God?

I recently received an email from someone who said they were contemplating meaning from Malachi chapter three as it pertains to today’s Christians. I read and reread this chapter repeatedly and the Spirit opened my eyes to a great truth of this passage in scripture pertaining to His people...

    Crossing oneself during RCIA dismissal?

Wow, I can't believe it's been two years since I was last on this forum. Anyways, in that time, my agnostic wife has actually accepted the fact that I am going to become Catholic--we don't fight about it anymore, and she even asks questions about the faith (in a non-confrontational manner)...

    A Look in The Mirror

James 1:12-18 NASB Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself...

Luke 18:22 Do You Know What A Valley and Being On A Mountain Means ???

Today The Lord cleared up my wrong thinking in what His Blessings are and what a valley is and a mountain ...The world has always said one thing and it never was what God said , from the Garden till now. To feel someones suffering is a blessing. I use to think it was a curse till I really...

    Deuteronomy 15 amd Mark 14

Over the years I have been asked why Jesus said this... Mark 14:7 For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always. It is very clear we did not follow Deuteronomy 15: “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a release of...

    Count Your Blessings

This hymn is really speaking to my heart today. Sometimes we can get overburdened by the cares of this world and forget all that God has blessed us with. When we praise the Lord, and we count our blessings, and we don’t focus all our attention on the burdens we bear, but we focus our minds and...

Every Blessing by Grace - Matthew 20:9-15

Every Blessing by Grace - Matthew 20:9-15 Very often in life, we as Christians, think that we must work out, earn, deserve any blessing from God. We think that if we do not perform well enough in our spiritual walk with God, then perhaps, he will restrict his blessings to us, until we repent...

Bible Study-Money to Sow, Money to Reap - 2 Corinthians 9:6-15

Money to Sow, Money to Reap - 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 God tells us that he wants us to give financially, according to what amount we really want to give for his work on earth. The Easy Life?

The Lord Jesus led me to read Psalm 95 (vv. 7b-11 NASB). Has God blessed us today with life? Is there food in our stomachs? Do we have roofs over our heads? Do we have warm places to sleep? Are we adequately clothed? Not everyone is so blessed! How often do we, who are so blessed, take these...
