and MTG pronounced it like "Lincoln" too, ironically while retelling the story of her interruption to News Nation.

The family are ghoulish as well for politicizing their daughter's death. It's sad and bizarre all around. No one actually cares about her.

It's not my job to solve the problems at the border. I have no idea what the situation is beyond what I hear and see in the media, which I can guarantee you is biased no matter where it's coming from. So forgive me for not being able to tell you the solution to this issue.

Maybe not, but the Biden administration has certainly implied that.

It's interesting that Biden was able to issue multiple EOs to undo Trump's immigration policies but pretends like he can't issue EOs to address current issues.

Immigration reform is badly needed and does require congressional action. That doesn't preclude the administration from taking immediate action to stop the bleeding.

Unfortunately, both side benefits from the chaos at the border. Both sides can use it as campaign fodder to fire up the base.

No, this isn't true. Hillary didn't delete any emails. A technician testified under oath that he accidentally deleted them; they were all recovered. The conspiracy doesn't even make sense. When you send an email, another copy is made on the recipient computer. They found all her emails and nothing untoward was found.

Biden also never gave a single classified document to the ghost writer. In fact the report makes clear that Biden took great lengths to shield Zwoniker from seeing any material and would only read it aloud to him, skipping over potentially sensitive sections.

On page 102 of Hur's report:

Mr. Biden took steps to ensure that Zwonitzer did not read or have access to the classified portions of the notebooks. With one exception of which we are aware, discussed below, Mr. Biden did not let Zwonitzer read or handle the notebooks. On multiple occasions, Zwonitzer suggested it would be easier if Mr. Biden photocopied the relevant notebook entries and allowed Zwonitzer to use the copies, but Mr. Biden declined. 423 According to Zwonitzer, Mr. Biden "really never let the journals out of his hand" and did not let others access them.

The FBI’s investigation did find several thousand emails among those deleted that were work-related and should have been turned over to the State Department. I guess you didn't listen to Hur during the hearings...Biden shared classified information with the ghost writer. Hur wrote that Biden’s ghostwriter initially deleted audio recordings he had of his conversations with Biden after he learned of the special counsel’s investigation. There is evidence that Biden “willfully” kept classified materials. Again, changing ONE letter on a poster is quite different than calling her "LINCOLN" in a SOTU address. They are LAKEN'S family. You have no right to criticize them on any grounds. THEY lost their family member who was murdered by an illegal alien who was allowed to be free in this country by liberal policies...that is a fact. Because they choose to align themselves with Trump because of that is their right. Because YOU don't agree with it is meaningless.

No charges are pending against President Biden or Zwonitzer, Zwonitzer never used any classified information, and he did erase any notes he had. All that was confirmed in the article you posted.

Again, this was found to be reckless, but not criminal, and the technician testified under oath the deletion was accidental. the FBI found no evidence that it was anything but.

There's not much evidence Biden was aware that that information was classified. You have to remember, virtually all of these documents, and specifically what he was referring to while talking to Zwonitzer, were personal notes in a notebook. He never shared anything that actually had classification markings. Hur wrote many times "the evidence does not establish Mr. Biden's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt."

You're aware the FBI was able to recover the deleted files from the ghostwriter's computer, right? And the writer had provided accurate transcripts? And nothing interesting was found? The government considered charging the ghostwriter with obstruction but ultimately decided against it based on lack of findings.

No here is something we could agree on. However it doesn't seem like anything but rhetoric at this point. From both sides. We can't even agree on how to secure the border. There are a lot of issues with all of this and Congress needs to to hammer something out, but it seems neither side is willing to do so.

In the lack of Congressional action the president absolutely has the ability to do some things. And he should. Then he can tell Congress if they want him to stop then they should get together and get him a bill to sign. The Executive branch should take action on things in its power and in turn knock a few heads together in Congress and tell them they better get their crap together and get him something substantive.

If I were president it would one the first things in my agenda. Secure the border and then work on expelling every single illegal alien in the country. ICE can go do its job. And if Congress wants to do something then I'd be thrilled to get it worked out.

Is it? I think a misspelling is more purposeful and shows you don't know the name, while a mispronunciation can be an accidental flub of the tongue.

And Republicans had a chance to reform those policies two weeks ago in Congress, and didn't. Why? Lots of hot air and yet no movement on actually fixing the problem. They claimed it was because it was attached to Ukraine aid, or too weak...well, they're passing Ukraine aid now and many Republicans have admitted it was the best border deal they were ever going to get.

If Republicans actually cared about children, you'd think they'd be doing more to fix the number one killer of children: firearms. (and I don't just mean gun laws; I mean gun lock drives, community education, literally, anything)

We do not know even if Trump wrote it but we DO know Biden said it and also Biden NEVER met with the family. Yeah Biden has been having a TON of "accidental flubs of the tongue". What you call "reform" is basically doing what the Dems want which is making illegal crossings legal. It does NOT solve the problem.

Let's take a deep breath, together.

It's in his very distinct handwriting and the black marker is clipped to the top.

Now that we're back in reality...can we agree that mispronunciations and misspellings are silly ways to argue whether someone cares about someone else? It should be obvious by their actions.

This was a bipartisan bill. If it was what Dems wanted, why did eight Democrats plan to vote against it? (Because it gave Republicans too many concessions and didn't provide enough reform).

The bill would do two things:
-Makes the asylum process harder to get into
-Makes the asylum process quicker

That's it. That's all.

These two things—reducing the bottleneck, and raising the bar—are expected to reduce illegal immigration by word of mouth.

The AIC does a good job analyzing it, and it's not without faults. But nowhere in it does it "make illegal crossings legal."

If passed in its current form, the Emergency National Security Supplemental Appropriations Act would be the most sweeping immigration bill of the twenty-first century. It would overhaul the process for seeking asylum in the United States—and impose an “emergency authority” that would leave asylum fully out of reach for those crossing between ports of entry for much of the next three years. It would attempt to address issues like work permits and years-long waits for asylum seekers, and also raise the initial standard a person must pass in order to access our asylum system. It would expand additional visas and future green card availability and offer a pathway to citizenship to Afghans, while also significantly increasing detention capacity. It is a mixed bag.

Overall, the bill represents a serious attempt to acknowledge, and solve, some of the key problems with current border and asylum policy, and to address the federal government’s failure to manage migration in a way that supports American communities and respects humanitarian needs. In particular, it aims to reduce the frequency with which people wait years for a final outcome on their asylum case. However, its positive steps in this direction are smothered by a new “emergency authority” that repeats mistakes made by the Trump and Biden administrations: making protection much less available for those in need, while failing to send a clear message to future arrivals.
