Okay, both you and Douggg are incorrect about the woman. The woman of Revelation 18 "decked with gold" has NOTHING to do with a "trading city", "international world bank", "world economics", or even "financial gain of the church". The woman is outwardly "attractive," valuable and pleasing to the flesh. You two have a mind that is filled with carnal that can't understand what God was saying about the woman. Let review what God actually says:

Revelation 17:4

• "And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:"

The woman on the beast is arrayed in purple and scarlet. Do you realize that the colors in scripture are not merely descriptive of lights of different wavelengths, they have a symbolic meaning that usually denotes some spiritual quality or virtue. For example, the color white denotes purity or righteousness. The color green denotes something living, or that has life. And the colors blue, purple or scarlet are colors that denote great value or riches. These were the colors that a king or that royalty would wear, and which illustrated their wealth or great value. God Himself instituted the holy garments for Aaron the High Priest and declared that they should specifically be made with the colors blue, purple, and scarlet. Look it up in your Scripture yourself. It was to signify the great value or holiness of the High Priest. As was the Ephod, the sacred vestment of fine linen worn by the ancient high priests of Israel. It had the breastplate with the Urim and Thummim hanging by golden chains and rings. The Priest was adorned in this fashion of great wealth to characterize the great preciousness of the priestly office. Wealth to man is pictured in the great riches of precious stones, fine linen, and gold, and God uses these symbols all throughout scripture to signify His preciousness more valuable than all these figures.

Exodus 28:6-10

• "And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
• It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
• And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
• And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
• Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth."

Exodus 39:5-7

• "And the curious girdle of his ephod, that was upon it, was of the same, according to the work thereof; of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen; as the LORD commanded Moses.
• And they wrought onyx stones inclosed in ouches of gold, graven, as signets are graven, with the names of the children of Israel.

Gold, onyx stones, fine linen, and blue, purple and scarlet are all things that denote great wealth. The colors blue, purple and scarlet are the colors of riches and royalty. The breastplate of the Priest was of cunning work (interwoven), like the work of the ephod, also of gold, blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen (exodus 39:8 ). Again expensive work "symbolic" of the great value or preciousness of the Priests of God. Great wealth of what? Financial? No, these colors were a token to illustrate the great value God assigned to them. This is even as Christ showed this when He told the parable of the "rich" man and Lazarus:

Luke 16:19

• "There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:"

Again, the color purple was to indicate clothing of great expense, which only a wealthy person could afford. It is the apparel of the Rich, as contrasted to that which the "poor" man Lazarus was wearing. Another example is in the book of John where God has inspired recorded that a purple robe was placed upon Christ to illustrate that He was a King.

John 19:2-3

• "And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe,
• And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands."

The color again spiritually signifies that Christ was the king of the Jews, He was royalty, He was the high Priest precious unto the Lord.

So likewise, the adornment of the harlot in purple and scarlet in Revelation 17:4 is to symbolize that she has the "outward appearance" of the riches that the Church is symbolized by. The woman arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, is signifying that this woman is the representation of the Priestly office of the Church (Exodus 19:6; 1st Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6; 5:10).

The woman being decked with Gold and precious stones are also to signify this great value or preciousness.

Job 28:16

• "It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire."

Ezra 8:27

• "Also twenty basons of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold."

Isaiah 13:12

• "I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir."

Gold and precious stones, just as the purple and scarlet, illustrate great value or preciousness. The Church is a pearl of great price unto the Lord. Not world bank! It is about the congregation's wealth of God's Gospel and spiritual riches. But here in Revelation chapter 17, she is being pictured as unfaithful. Thus we see that the golden cup in her hand is just an outward show hiding inward iniquity. It's the false or superficial appearance hiding all the abominations of this Church from those who have not eyes to see. This is "Mystery" Babylon. This is the mystery of the woman -- Revelation 17:7). It's like a false prophet coming with soothing words to the flesh, professing Christ outwardly. She appears to be rich with Gospel but her words are words that bring people into bondage or captivity to sin, rather than setting them free from it in Christ. Remember the beast was spoken of as "He that leadeth into captivity?" Satan comes as an angel (messenger) of light. And while outwardly "appearing" righteous, he brings people into captivity. And that's what the unfaithful Church does who rides this beast. Even as the great city Babylon of Old Testament prefigured this house of captivity.

Jeremiah 51:7

• "Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad."

See? Likewise, in Revelation 17-18, the Church is "spiritually" as Babylon that deceives, though she looks good superficially filled with spiritual goods, she is not serving God, but her own lusts.

As the city of Babylon in the Old Testament deceived the nations and brought national Israel into captivity in those dark days, so in the New Testament, this woman deceives the world with her unfaithfulness, and brings darkness by her spiritual seduction. This unfaithful Church is enticing the kings of the earth (making the unsaved her rulers) by her spiritual fornication. Going after the world. How does a church entice? The very same way that a harlot or a harlot woman would. By offering things attractive to the flesh to the unfaithful or lawless with the false gospel and false signs and wonders through the false prophets and christs. For example, by saying things like Christians can gamble, they can divorce, they can remarry, they can marry unbelievers, they accept Homosexuality as God-given, they can work on the Sabbath, they can commune with works gospels, they can tolerate or accept other religions, they don't have to preach on repentance, etc. etc. This, my friends, is the golden appearance of the woman upon the beast!

By forsaking her God for the kings of the earth enticing them with worldly words of happiness and temporal pleasures of disobedience, she seems to prosper. Look at the spiritual condition of many churches today, especially mega churches! The unfaithful church may appear on the outside as royalty, but look inside the golden cup that God says she is offering. What you will see is the abominations and filth of her lawlessness. The golden cup in her hand (like her apparel and being arrayed with gold and precious stones) looks precious and beautiful so to entice. But within that nice cup is abominable things and the filth of her adultery. For she is the home of the false prophet, the false Christ who comes with horns looking like a lamb, but speaking as a dragon. Looking like a Christ, but her words are what gives her away. They are words of nullification and adultery. She has adulterated God's Word and it is the abominations that will leave her desolate. Look at Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church, for example, who appears to be a nice smiling "christian" man who pretends to know the Gospel but does not sin and repentance. People loved it and are being deceived by him. This is how they are marked of the beast - to be owned by Satan! And they does not realize it! And there are MANY false prophets like Joel Osteen all over God's congregations in the world, slowly bringing her into abominations and desolations.

Today, the unfaithful Church is compromising with the world, and this is "spiritual fornication" unto God. She has the appearance of the riches and holiness of God, but what she is offering in the cup of enticement, is an abomination unto God. The people are so busy looking at the outward appearance of the Church and the cup that they don't recognize the abominations within. Eg. the abomination of desolation that we should watch for! God is revealing this woman for her immorality and deceiving the world with outward show and external appearance of piety and righteousness. But God reveals her true nature. Just as Christ saw the Old Testament congregation, Israel, which on the outside had the appearance of Godliness, but within were full of iniquity.

Matthew 23:27-28

• "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
• Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.""

In context, that verse Paul uses actually happened when Assyria took the 10-tribes.
He must have been using it as a metaphor, rather than current events or prophecy.

Revelation 12's remnant is Judaens in Jerusalem... wherever that happens to be...
since Tyre is described as land of the Chaldees, Babylon, and Jerusalem.

The battle of Armageddon.

60 miles north of the Mount of Olives in the valley of Megiddo. Revelation 16:16

It is the end of Satan's 42 months, after the Lord comes and hands the vineyard over to Satan. The Lord on the throne happens and the final harvest happens before Satan is given control of the vineyard. The only harvest left during the final 42 months is that of the 2 witnesses, and those souls in the bodies with their heads chopped off. The only endurance is not worshipping Satan until one can figure out how to remove their head to avoid the mark. Revelation 19 is the end of the line for Adam's flesh and blood. All humanity has to die, according to the wine press of Revelation 14. That is the end of the vineyard. It is the end of the 7th Trumpet. It is the end of the vials. It is the end of Daniel's 70th week. Armageddon is the end of the FP, and the beast. Armageddon is when Satan is bound in the pit, and the pit is sealed back up. I would go so far as to say Armageddon happens on a Sunday between 5pm and 6pm. The last hour of the 10 king reign.

Armageddon is not the Second Coming. The Second Coming is the 6th Seal in Revelation 6. The 6th Seal is not the 7th Seal nor the 7th Trumpet sounding, nor the 7th vial. The 6th Seal is not the 6th Trumpet nor the 6th vial. The 6th Seal is only the Second Coming and the Lord comes and the heavens and the earth are changed forever. The Flood of fire instead of water starts at the 6th Seal.

The angels and the Trump of God comes to earth at the 6th Seal just like Jesus claims in Matthew 24. God on the throne effects the sun and moon at the 6th Seal.

"And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."

Satan should not even get 42 months. This should have happened in the days of the week mentioned in Daniel 9:27. Not a week of years. A week of days: Sunday to Sunday. The 7th Trumpet is that final week. Yet Daniel claims there is a desolation that splits that week. Satan's 42 months is that period of desolation. John claims in Revelation 13, Satan is only allowed 42 months if any time of desolation happens. The 7 vials are poured out after the 42 months on the Thursday starting at 6pm on Wednesday. 3.5 days their bodies lay in the street of Jerusalem. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and from 6pm to 6am Sunday. The battle of Armageddon starts at 5pm Sunday and ends at 6pm. Monday is the first day of the Millennium.

King is a different word. In Hebrew and Greek, it's royalty.
Kinda hard to tell, from where I was sitting, which Version was right.
Since it matches the prince in John.12:31, I'd have to say the LXX is right.

I don't think you know who the reaped ones are. Jesus says some are tares, and some are wheat. The world will be obviously fooled into thinking white is black. Wheat and tares look the same... probably right up to the time you check out their fruit. The tares get tossed into the winepress... the enemy has sown those seeds.

14:18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast [it] into the great winepress of the wrath of God.

But aren't you forgetting this reaping? Who are these people? They can't be the two witnesses, since they're already Resurrected and gone.

Mankind must have some living members, because we see them being brought home after the war, as written in the books of the Prophets.

How is Christ going to separate the sheep from the goats for a few years after Armageddon? And before the vinyard is handed to Satan? Sorry but The Lord comes down first in the 6th Seal, then the final harvest. Then Satan's 42 months, and then Armageddon. That is the end. It is over at that point. The Millennium starts sin free, with a resurrection. The only way humanity gets into the Millennium is via a resurrection. Except the 144k, who were sealed prior to the 7th Seal. The FP takes over Jerusalem, and the Lamb and the 144k retreat to Mt. Zion. They return to Megiddo after the 42 months.

I would say the church is at fault. They did not bring in the golden harvest, prior to the Second Coming. That is the only reason Satan is given access for 42 months. Too many souls left in the vineyard.

The angels, the Lamb, and the 144k reap the final harvest. It is not golden. It is the destruction of the goats to Death. It is the destruction of the tares to Death. The sheep and the wheat have their souls resurrected in Revelation 20:4. They are not the church. Those beheaded if Satan gets 42 months, are resurrected. If Satan does not get 42 months, no FP, no AC, no mark, and no one beheaded. No 7 vials and no Armageddon. The 7th Trumpet sounds for the week, the week is not split. God's Wrath is poured out in the winepress, all of Adam is dead, without the battle of Armageddon necessary. Revelation 14 covers the rest of the book until chapter 20 and the 1000 year reign, and Satan is still bound. The FP died in the winepress. There was no abomination of desolation that is the beast, the alleged AC. It was never set up, because the week was never split. Revelation 17 and 18 was not necessary because Satan never set Babylon up for 42 months. The kingdoms (governments) of the earth are decimated at the 6th Seal. The Lamb comes in the 6th Seal for a harvest and to finish Adam's flesh and blood off, once and for all. Governments never recoup, because Satan is never given the vineyard. This lack of Satan in control rest only in the hands of the church. The apostate church that humbles herself, turns from her wicked ways, seeks God's face, will hear from Heaven, and God will heal the nations, and bring in the golden harvest. Really very simple, yet so far removed from carnal minded Christians that the opportunity will pass, and the apostate church will ride the back of the dragon instead.

At the Great White Throne Judgement at the end of the thousand years.

Differently, the sixth seal event is the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, just before Jesus returns down to earth, at the very end of the 7 years.

Differently, the sixth seal event is the sign of the Son of Man in heaven, just before Jesus returns down to earth, at the very end of the 7 years.

The GWT is dead people. The sheep and goats in Matthew 25 are living people on earth, still physically alive. After splitting the mount in half, Jesus Christ sets up camp in Jerusalem, the same camp found in Revelation 20:9. That is 1000 years before the GWT. The sheep are resurrected in Revelation 20:4, 1000 years before the GWT. Why do you have the GWT prior to the 1000 years?


The sign and the appearing happen at the same time. You point out the sign, then seem to ignore the fact the Son of man is also right there in person.

"and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds."

They shall see is pretty definitive of what they see. The sign is the "thief in the night" moment. There is no time to react. It is not in the night for all. It will be so bright of an event, it will not be night for any. The point is when the sign happens, it is already too late to prepare. There is definitely not 7 years of preparation. The church has had 1991 years to prepare.
