I'd put conviction odds at somewhere around 1 in 100
UNLESS
unless it turns out that some set of republicans have done some political calculations and decided that the party might be safer with Pence. Not sure how Pence might feel about that, or how he feels about Trump, he might love the guy. If it turns out Pence doesn't though, that would change the equation. Basically, whether he wanted to be in it or not, whether he foresaw it or not, and regardless of any motive to do so (good, bad or otherwise) that he may or may not have, Pence is in a good "House of Cards" position.

Since you stated that "the dems were breaking every rule in the book". It's on you to prove which rules were broken, by giving us an official source of the rules. And by official I mean a non-partisan source which lists the rules you think were broken. A facebook rant by an member of the House opposed to the impeachment is not non-partisan.....it just means you want us to take this congressman's word for it.
i will post your list. just give me time. i am busy. i'd like to add that you are being just as unpleasant to me as you were in that devil's horns thread. all i did was post an innocent link and you and your cohorts ganged up on me with sarcasm and unfriendly retorts. it was sheer meanness. i'm not surprised what party you support.

I am not being unpleasant or mean to you by asking you to provide evidence of statements you have made. This should be required of anyone who makes a statement of "fact" without having the proof to back it up.

In addition, I'm not being unpleasant or mean to you when I point out (with proof) that statements you make are just plain wrong.

...and you're assuming I'm a democrat...I'm not. I did not vote for Trump or Hillary in the presidential election. I support the U.S. Constitution.

I'd agree with you on that. The way it stands now, I don't believe there will be a conviction.

This will more than likely be a vote along party lines, much as the impeachment vote in the House was along party lines.

you seem to be making this a punitive thing by asking me that rather than really wanting to know. did you see the hearings? did you see how they rushed through ignoring the republicans?

He asked you to enumerate the violations of the rules. Just show him the rules and how they were violated.

Shouldn't be that hard, if you know what they are.

you didn't answer my question. did you see the impeachment hearings? what did you think of the way it was handled?

here is your list: 6 Ways Salem Witch Trials Were Fairer Than Dems’ Impeachment Inquiry

Well, that link might mean something if we were talking about a trial, but we're not....we're talking about the hearings.

The House conducted hearings to determine if Trump committed a crime. They found he had committed a crime(s), and he has now been impeached (accused). The trial will now be held in the Senate.

It confounds me that the guy who wrote this is an attorney, and he is trying to compare the hearings with a trial.

What are the rules of the hearing that they were breaking? This is what Rep. Collins was referring to.....the hearings....not the trail (which has yet to be conducted in the Senate).

You've gone out and dug up a piece based on anything but the author's opinion.

I'll continue to wait for those rules.

Ahhh! the famous "Lock Her Up!" President Trump supporter belief in "always guilty if your last name is Clinton".
tulc(just back from cooking dinner for 300+ family and friends) ;)

Lets not make it personal. Any time you wish to talk about what Trump had done since Jan 2017 vs what has been said done against him since as far back as Mar 2016. Glady talk about what Trump says names what not. I will not talk about things like CNN said happened 21 years ago.

Impeachment.. when we hear from a Congress woman from Calf say as of late that the crimes Trump has done are the worst in history. I am still searching asking even FEDS what CRIMES has did Trump do? They can't answer. For we see everywhere from the mouth the heart speaks. I pray for them.. I speak words of life. I treat talk about them the way I want people to talk and treat me.

they did NOT find he committed a crime. he was already guilty in their eyes before the hearing. you still didn't answer my question. did you see the hearings?

i'll be back with the list.

They believe he committed crimes, hence he has been impeached.

I'm obviously wasting my time with you.....you're just talking in circles. Please inform yourself.

they do not believe he committed crimes. they accuse him of crimes he didn't commit and impeach him for it. most people know that. if you were informed you would too. nadler broke rules like not swearing in 2 witnesses against trump and denying a house minority hearing, both breaks rules and are unprecedented. the whole impeachment is an effort to remove trump from office because the dems' candidate didn't win in 2016.

Lets not make it personal.
As far as I can tell, no one has. So we're good.

Any time you wish to talk about what Trump had done since Jan 2017 vs what has been said done against him since as far back as Mar 2016. Glady talk about what Trump says names what not. I will not talk about things like CNN said happened 21 years ago.
...but talking about President Clinton riding on a plane 17 years ago is cool?

Impeachment.. when we hear from a Congress woman from Calf say as of late that the crimes Trump has done are the worst in history.
Link?

I am still searching asking even FEDS what CRIMES has did Trump do? They can't answer.
Really? Because that's easy: he was impeached for obstruction and abuse of power:
Impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump - Wikipedia

okay.

Or you could simply be wrong about that.

nadler broke rules like not swearing in 2 witnesses against trump and denying a house minority hearing, both breaks rules and are unprecedented.
Okay, now all that's needed is a link showing those are rules and a link showing the Democrats broke them. :)

the whole impeachment is an effort to remove trump from office because the dems' candidate didn't win in 2016.
Yes, we all have heard this Republican talking point time and again, it's not true but it does give President Trump supporters the "justification" they want to dismiss any inconvenient evidence shows up and to ignore, well anything a non- President Trump supporter says without having to come up with any proof to refute what they say. Because, as we all know: "It's easier to dismiss people who disagree with you then to prove them wrong." :sorry:
tulc(is reminded of a saying he learned many years ago: "dismissing isn't refuting")

Or maybe, just maybe the Democrat Politicians don't really think that President Trump is a threat to national security, but merely a threat to the Democratic Politicians and their Progressive Communist ways?
Seems like you've bought into the far right wing fascist lies. There is nothing communistic about the Democratic or Progressive ways. They aren't anymore Socialistic than the Republicans.
