Sure, what does that have to do with rejecting the idea of one God above all?
Well if you are Abram in the city of Ur then you believe in a pantheon of gods for different purposes. Nobody is certain what "Ur of the Chaldeans" meant, but it is safe to assume it was a polytheistic culture. If Abram had followed the model of modern Christians then he would have tested the message from God against the religious texts of his culture and found a disagreement, and Abram would have then rejected the voice of God.

The OT and NT were once open to new developments. These texts collected theological insights from different people at different times. Later these religious texts became closed and became a barrier to innovation and refinement of theology. Keeping things the same is great if you have everything correct, but these texts developed gradually. The Abrahamic religions developed gradually. How do we know there are no further changes required?

Yes I see BUT I think you are forgetting at the end of Revelation 22:18+19
Jesus warns strictly against anyone adding (or taking away from the Bible) .

Meaning it was complete and finished.

So therefore we now can measure anything that anyone says and if it adds or says different from the Bible we know it is false.

Which is where people get into trouble and deceived because they believe contrary to what the Bible (Gods very words) say.
Of course that verse in Revelation applied to Revelation alone when it was originally written. And the Book of Revelation was the last book admitted into the NT canon and against the wishes of some.

The Bible is not just any book. It is God's complete communication of His ways and His plan for mankind given to us. Therefore the Bible is God's standard and if we disregard what it says and asserts that we a following God, then we are following another god and not the God of the Bible.

Jesus made that quite clear to the rich man when he ended up in hell. Abraham told the rich man that his brothers had Moses and the Prophets, and if they didn't believe them, then even someone going back to them from the dead would not be able to persuade them not to come to "the horrible place".

Therefore we cannot separate God from His written Word. If we do then we are not following God of the Bible at all, rather we are following a god made up from our own imagination.

It should be called inspiration. Because in theory, anybody can make an inerrant/infallible statement. But doing so doesn't mean that God is somehow speaking through them though. At least, not necessarily.

Yes, Sacred Scripture is inspired. Implicitly, that means that scripture is also free from error.

Revelation may be the last book in the Bible but I take the whole Bible as Gods word.
With the completion of it the Bible was closed.

God is the standard and cannot be separated from His Word.

In this world we are hemmed in from every side with evil, temptations, trials, tribulations etc. absolutely 100% hemmed in.

Therefore, we must test the spirits and to do that we must know His Word...

It is inerrant - we are the errant. But through the grace of God He gives understanding to His people.

The main reason is because God watches over His word to perform and to do what He says He is going to do. This is why we need to learn how to pray according to the will of God like they do in Heaven. There are 22 Hebrew letters and they are all symbols. So when we study the Hebrew language that helps us to understand the word of God and His message for us. English today is very close to the Hebrew language that Moses used. The first word in the Bible gives us all of God's plan of salvation. The first three chapters lays the foundation for everything that follows. If we go back to the beginning then we can see how the word of God develops over the years. Even God declares the end from the beginning. Chapter one is Creation, Chapter two is Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden. Chapter three is the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and the Serpent.

God gave Moses all of His plan of salvation. Only Jesus can add to what God gave to Moses in the Torah, the first five books in the Bible.

God speaks and things happen. Like the creation of everything you can see. Lord Jesus is the Word of God. Before Christ, God spoke through the prophets. Christ is the Word become flesh. So we had the Word of God living with us. The Holy Spirit was given to those who are born again. Part of His role is reveal what is of Christ to us. Ideally, we would not need the written word of God again.

The problem is that we are not ideal. Even with the Bible to help us, Christians can argue about almost anything. If we had no written word to help us, it would be impossible to verify what is of God and what is not. Worshipping God's written word is error. You won't need it in heaven. Until then, it is essential.

Logic and reason are of no help in comprehending spiritual things. The Bible is a spiritual book for spiritual people. Is the Bible inerrant? In the original languages, I believe so. I know it works for me!
Problems arise when people interpret God's word according to their own understanding.

A full context would include an understanding of Jewish history and culture, their cosmology, their religious beliefs and traditions and also of the Jewish literary traditions.
The Bible was written when they were in the dessert for 40 years. A tent was their dwelling and a camel was their transportation. Today people live in high rise apartments and they travel on Jet airplanes. So we can see how the Bible develops over the years. God declares the end from the beginning and He watches over His word to perform and to do what He says He is going to do. At the time God dwelled with the Children of Isreal in a tent or tabernacle. He expects sanctification and holiness in order for Him to dwell with us. Jesus made the ultimate sacrifice to pay the price for us. Also He came to show us the way to live the life He is calling us to live. We are told He went about preaching, teaching and healing. They say we are to learn all we can and share with others out of what we have studied and learned. So as we become the people God wants and intends then we are to help others along the way with their journey of discovery.

God spoke through the prophets.
The prophets share with us how the lesson they learned in their day can apply to us today. Just as we are to reach out to the people in the 1,000 year reign of Christ to help them in their time to understand the lessons we are learning today.

It would be interesting to have the 'Next Testament' which shows for how almost 2000 years Christians failed the will of God and it recorded all the consequences of their actions, without the revisionist history, just like we saw portrayed about God's chosen in the OT.

The prophets did not add anything to what God revealed to Moses. They just help us to apply the teachings of Moses to our life today. Sometimes they were talking directly to us. Like when Daniel was told to seal the Words of his book until the appointed time.

God's Word is an ocean into which we have only begun to dip our collective toes...

I believe it is a coded Book, and that that coding was done by such a Mind that no human mind or computer could do it. Simultaneous coding on multi-levels could only be done by God

The coding was explored in the past by Ivan Panin and others. Today, by the Meru Project and some crazies who call themselves the "Code Gang." It is mind-blowing.

I haven’t studied "the code", but I have read and absorbed enough of His Word to see how He authenticates the message from a multitude of angles, so that tampering is useless. Most of the problem is in resistance to the Word, so nitpicking is the vain attempt to blunt the impossibly sharp Sword of the Spirit.

You've heard the expression "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter".
How about "one man's heretic is another man's prophet".

The original writings and their language are the word of God and are without error. What our Bibles are, are copies handed down.

Like the Jewish leaders of the Old Testament time and the law God gave to the nation of Israel.

They practiced adding to or interpreting the law to fit mans ideas. Which has happened to the current Bible on a small scale.
Examples are Genesis 4:1 which reads.
Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.”

When actually the original Hebrew reads
וְהָאָדָם, יָדַע אֶת-חַוָּה אִשְׁתּוֹ; וַתַּהַר, וַתֵּלֶד
אֶת-קַיִן, וַתֹּאמֶר, קָנִיתִי אִישׁ אֶת-יְהוָה.

And the man knew Eve his wife, she conceived and bare Cain and said "I have gotten a man: Jehovah

Also Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.

Job 26:7 reads the way it does not because there is support from the Bible for, Job 26:7 to say hangs on nothing.

That reading/translations came about because of sciences influence on peoples reading of the Bible. That science has convinced Christians that the earth is a globe hanging out in space. So because of sciences influence when it come to translating the Bible to English or even other languages. They have taken the opportunity to make the Bible say something that is not supported by the Bible but by science (globe lie).

The reading supported by the Bible for Job 26:7 is

The Hebrew is —
neteh tsephoon ol tehoo tehleh arets ol belimeh,
The proper translation of which is:
"He spreadeth out the North over the desolate' place (the abyss of waters), and supporteth the Earth upon fastenings (foundations) ."

Many times the Bible speaks of the earth being set or supported on foundations.

I don't remember Moses talking about the valley of dry bones, the suffering servant, the promise of the new heart and so on. I don't recall Moses saying that God would put His spirit within us and cause us to walk in his ways.
