What you are going to give me was a commentary on what others have said
We have scriptural mandate to be concerned with it .One of the best arguments that I have ran into as to why
Christians should support the Orthodox Jewish community
in their desire to rebuild their Jerusalem Third Temple is
a statement by Rabbi Yeshua - Jesus:
Luke 24:25
"Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:"
So... all that the prophets have spoken would include Ezekiel chapters 40 - 48 that
clearly describe the restored Jerusalem Third Temple as part of the Era of Messiah / Moshiach.... .the millennial rule of Messiah over all the earth.
Also:
Luke 13:35
"Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."
Was Ezekiel blessed?
Did Ezekiel come in the name of the Lord?
Is Christianity relatively desolate due to our having forgotten the words of the Prophets?
Isaiah 66
verses 5 and 6 is interesting as well....
Hear the word of Jehovah, ye that tremble at his word: Your brethren that hate you, that cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let Jehovah be glorified, that we may see your joy; but it is they that shall be put to shame.
6 A voice of tumult from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of Jehovah that rendereth recompense to his enemies.
How does a voice sound in the temple... until there is a temple.......?

Christ is building the third temple now with living stones. The temple from which living water flows=Holy Spirit.
J L Hargus is 100% correct. Christianity is spiritual; we are no longer living in the Old Covenant: under the law. Now that Christ has come there is no longer a need for physical objects such as the temple, the written law, etc.
Mark 14:58: “We heard him say, ‘I will destroy this temple made with human hands and in three days will build another, not made with hands.’”
John 2:19: Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
I agree with that last statement: a new temple is coming. Christians won't have to help! the JEWS are going to build a temple without help. Will it be Ezekiel's temple? Probably not - meaning there will probably be TWO more temples built.I am not sure of your background, but my kind never were under the old covenant of Moshe. It was a Hebrew deal made by Yahweh with the Hebrew people who came out of Egypt. But it also doesn't negate the idea that the Torah is valid instruction for us about the Messiah and living in community. And the old covenant that Yahweh made with the Hebrew people at Sinai is just one of several covenants made in scripture. And it is the only one that the scripture says will be superseded by a new and better covenant of the Messiah. All the rest are still intact and valid. One of them in particular, if it is no longer in effect, then Yeshua has no right to reign upon the earth under the authority and lineage of David.
Still, the passages posted do not negate that there will be physical, earthly temple according to Ezekiel yet to come.
Sorry, but a new temple is guaranteed: God did not waste words having Ezekiel go to such great lengths to write of another temple. It is scriptural. John will measure the new temple, and count the worshipers in it. The man of sin will enter it and declare he is God. No leaven. No pharisees: just the word of God.Beware the leaven of the Pharisees.
Oops, too late...

There is no need for another physical temple in Jerusalem. There is no need for additional covenants since Christians are in Christ (the living temple), and there is no longer any need for the Law.
What then is God going to do with those who imagine they are still under the law, and still love God? Will He abandon them? I think not!My background is Jewish. Both my parents (and earlier generations) were all Jews. I was Bar Mitzvah at age 13. Then my parents' marriage began to fall apart, the rabbi was having an affair, I was became depressed and, after much prayer and some fasting, I gave up on God and became an atheist.
After Jesus healed me in the hospital of severe asthma I became a Christian and received the Holy Spirit. I don't really care about religion, the Mosaic Law, or former covenants, since, by God's grace I have all I need. You said, "the Torah is valid instruction for us about the Messiah and living in community". Maybe, but the Sermon on the Mount, delivered by the Messiah, is all that's needed for living in community -- if you need to be told. Christians are supposed to be guided by the Holy Spirit and practice the fruit of the [indwelling] Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
There is no need for another physical temple in Jerusalem. There is no need for additional covenants since Christians are in Christ (the living temple), and there is no longer any need for the Law.
Period, and end of story. We have a guarantee: the Holy Spirit inside! If that's what you want to believe, that's fine. I disagree with much that you said. I am perpetually forgiven, am not under "the law", and don't really care about the gazillions of interpretations, especially of the Old Testament, that people put forth. I am a Christian because the Holy Spirit lives in me. Period.
Thanks, but no thanks: I will stick to the decision made at the first Jerusalem conference: James gave what was for the Gentile believers. For all that that have not read, it has nothing to do with the law, except not eating animals strangled and not bled out, abstaining from sexual sins, and stay away from idols. If there is no need for another temple, then was good 'ol Zeke just adding a bunch of filler in his book to satisfy his publisher? Ezekiel 40 onward. And how is it that those who do not come to Jerusalem at the Feast of Tabernacles during the reign of Messiah will have rain withheld from them if the Law is no longer in effect?
True, the covenant with the Hebrew people when they came out of Egypt is superseded by the New Covenant of Messiah, but that doesn't mean it no longer is valid. But there are others that you better hope are still in effect. Like the Davidic Covenant that the Lord made with David that he would have heir to sit on the throne forever. If that one is annulled also, then we might as well throw up our hands and call it quits because Yeshua will not reign.
But for those who are not united with Yeshua, the Law still is the measuring standard. Those in Messiah are free of the penalty of the Law, but the Law still remains. The case and charges against us was nailed to the cross with Him. The penalty was paid in full, "Tetelestai", by Yeshua. Yeshua said that heaven and earth will pass away, but His word will never pass away.
But the Torah is rich with teaching of the Messiah. The feasts of Leviticus 23 is just scratching the surface. The Torah provides part of the mathematic equation that shows modern Israel would be brought forth in May 1948. The names of those from Adam to Noach, when placed end to end, via the meaning of those names is the Gospel all laid out as well as any place in the NT. And the case is developing and getting stronger, as shown in the Torah Codes, the possibility that all of history is embedded within the Torah. Proof that the Lord knows the end from the beginning. Every day I see more clearly how King David could praise the Torah.
When Yeshua said "Father forgive them, they know not what they do.", He was following the Torah on the matter. And what does it mean for us? Was everyone who was there forgiven? Were the Romans that nailed Him to the cross forgiven? Hardly. But there is a key point in the Torah that what Yeshua said ties into. And it has to do with each and every one of us, since we are all guilty of the killing of Yeshua. But, Yeshua classified everyone into a special category that is outlined in Torah, and we have to follow the outline in Torah to enable us to be forgiven.
That is why I am fascinated with the Torah more and more. The Torah in total was written to teach of Yeshua. Torah means instruction or teaching. Not "LAW" like we view speed limit laws and such.
You said, "we have to follow the outline in Torah to enable us to be forgiven." That is totally incorrect. We are forgiven because of Jesus' blood and justified fully by God's grace. Salvation cannot be earned by anything that we do.
