The woman in Revelation 12 is Israel. And the woman as it says will be protected by God, supernaturally, as the earth swallows up the flood as Satan, when he is cast down, tries to destroy her during the time, times, half times (a little less than the 42 months in Revelation 13).

So Jerusalem and Israel are neither the great harlot, nor Mystery, Babylon the Great.

Revelation/ prophecy in general, is written as a fractal / is deliberately ambiguous so as to facilitate the strong delusion. Put another way, people will take the mark of the beast, thinking that it is the mark of God. that is why as you pointed out, Adonikam ('the risen Lord') is 666. Would a deluded Christian take this mark? Of course!

Along these same lines: Zech 14 is deliberately ambiguous. If you read it closely, Jesus is not rescuing people in Jerusalem.

Behold, a day is coming for the Lord, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2 For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city shall be taken and the houses plundered and the women raped. Half of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Who are the exiles? These are the people that have been exiled due to the fact that the abomination army & abomination statue have chased them away! They are the faithful that are gathered at the end of the 2nd woe/ 6th trumpet.

Who are the people that stay? the people who take the mark of the beast, who think that they are taking the mark of God, 'risen Lord'.​

3 Then the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle. 4 On that day his feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives that lies before Jerusalem on the east, and the Mount of Olives shall be split in two from east to west by a very wide valley, so that one half of the Mount shall move northward, and the other half southward.

This is the 6th Trumpet war, all the holy ones are the 200,000,000 army (ref. Psalm 68:17's twice 10 thousand legions of angels/ 'messengers'.​

Contrary to what you are saying, the false prophet will indeed rule in Jerusalem in the 2nd set of 42 months. During the 1st set of 42 months, death (4th Horseman) will be given dominion over 1/4th the earth. During the 2nd set of 42 months, the white Horseman (who represents the new Cyrus: compare Rev 6

so just look for who people will be calling 'Cyrus'. anyway, the white horseman, new Cyrus will build the new temple - in the 2nd set of 42 months (probably takes 3 years). the false prophet will most likely tell people to worship the new Cyrus.

Put another way, the obvious bad guy of the 1st set of 42 months becomes the means by which people/ Jews think that the new Cyrus/ white horseman is the messiah. That is why prophecy is set up as a fractal/ is deliberately ambiguous: so as to make people think that the messiah has come. Just as Zech 14 was worded to make you think that the messiah is ruling in Jerusalem, when in fact it doesn't really say that.

it is that whole universal system that we call "the world", with its temptations and enticements that draw people away from Christ and which is at the heart of persecution against Christian believers. John Bunyan calls it "the city of destruction". We are in the world but not of it. We are strangers and pilgrims in a world that is hostile to Christian faith. Satan is the god of this world. He rules over the world. That is why he could offer Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if He would bow down to him. John Bunyan also refers to a place called "Vanity Fair" which one of the pilgrims called Faithful was martyred (I think it was Faithful). The bloodied pilgrim holding his sword was called Valiant for Truth and who fought against the systems of the world. John says that the world's merchants will weep at the destruction of the city. This is because our world's politics and social systems are built on big business. Most politicians are millionaire businessmen and politics in most countries is influenced by big businesses. When the city is destroyed, that whole business political structure is gone with it and these businessmen and politicians lose their power. No wonder they weep!

If the beast who commands rich and poor, big (billionaires and governments) and small (normal business men and working class) to take the mark because nobody could buy and sell without it.
If the beast then destroys the city and they lament over her.
It’s because they have no control over their riches, and anything of value is also destroyed. They lose the power, status, etc
