"Emory students" are the key words here. These students are both Liberal and smart, smart enough to know how to pretend at being scared when of course they are not.

"I'm not comfortable" is the excuse du jour when Liberals want to deny other people their right to free speech, so I guess I can't call the Emory students Liberal, smart, and original.

Nobody was denied their right to free speech.

As a matter of fact, people like you are here mocking students for their free speech.

Irony....

Your posts skew to the left; you aren't the heretic or thought criminal in the present climate.

These are SJW college students, everyone is to the right to them. I've had scream at me for being a right wing nut, and I'm voting for a democratic socialist.

I would say they are our (meaning liberal) version of evangelical, but I think they are worse than that. So like maybe our version of the Westboro church?

Imagine these Millennials being in charge of corporations and countries one day. I'm embarrassed it's my generation that raised these pathetic weaklings, unable to cope with their own shaddow. Lord help us!

Exactly. "Bigot" or "racist" is different; once accused the onus is on the person to prove that he is not. They are politically charged terms used to silence and destroy. But you already know this.

Also because bigots and racists are far more common than lizardmen in this climate. But you already knew this.

Your posts skew to the left; you aren't the heretic or thought criminal in the present climate.

And yet, I've been accused, and have easily defended myself from such accusations with no loss to my reputation or livelihood.

As for being a heretic or thought criminal, what would it take to make me one? A change in the political climate, perhaps?

It is easy to defend labels of "bigot" or "racist". Don't act like one and don't say "bigot" or "racist" things. Simple.

Don't act like one according to whose definition of what one acts like?

Which puts them a step above Conservatives, who are genuinely scared of such things...

And "Political Correctness is ruining the country!" is the Conservative excuse to shut them down. The wheel keeps turning, don't it?

Can you get a BIGGER brush to paint whatever it is you are painting on the teenagers?

Yes I can... they have been raised by parents who have abdicated their responsibility to "educators" who (some by design, some by their own lack of maturity) have "taught" these people that they need "safe zone" away from scary words etc.

Speak to enough people out in the real world who are involved in hiring and personnel issues, and you'll hear horror stories about the young generation coming into the workplace with totally unrealistic expectations, and who are totally unprepared for working and being an "adult", and even who have their parents calling to arrange interviews and showing up with them at the interviews. (oh, and if they are lucky enough to get hired, you can bet their parents will call asking for details about benefit packages, etc)

Being a current college student, I will attest to the fact that there are all sorts of weirdos, primarily because such a high percentage of the population heads to college now.
Bigot is a personal statement directed at someone. Most people react badly to being called names. In the OP though, it's seeing someone's name that is "causing them pain". So it's a completely different scenario.
On the contrary, I find it just as amusing when someone whines about being called a bigot. Boohoo. It's prime entertainment.

These are the same dangerous college kids that are bullying Trump everywhere he goes?

No wonder he wants them roughed up.

Words hurt; fists hurt more.

But that's a red herring and not related to the OP. No one called these kids names, at least not before they had their little tea party. They just got upset they saw an idea they didn't like. That's the difference.

Not as big a difference as you'd like to pretend... call someone a name, and you're creating an idea.

In any event, these kids weren't too happy with the vandalism or what the vandalism said. What's to like?

Sounds like the problem lies more with the previous generation(s).

Oh, you want to talk about adults having tea parties because they're upset? We can do that. ^_^

Also, they're complaining about their peers supporting someone who is calling them names and is a finalist for Leader of the Free World. That's kinda their whole point. So while I still think they're being over-the-top, I don't see the difference that you seem to see.

If I cared enough to take the time, I could find you an editorial from every decade over the past 300 years that says this, and various other forms of writing over the past several thousand years that say the same thing about the gall-darn youths who are going to run civilization into the ground.

It seems to me that the older generations are the ones who think Millennials are special.
