  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

1,000-Year-Old Medieval Catholic Church Unearthed Near Munich During Construction

Archaeologists have uncovered the remains of a long-forgotten medieval Catholic church near Munich, Germany.

The discovery was made during routine construction work by the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) in Oberschleißheim, a suburb north of Munich. The find is thought to date back to between the 9th and 13th centuries.

The excavation revealed the foundations of a church, along with traces of several medieval structures, including houses, ovens, pit houses, and earth cellars. Approximately 20 human burials were found surrounding the church, with another burial pit located beneath the church’s former floor. These types of burials, particularly those within the church, were reserved for high-status individuals, a rarity during the early Middle Ages.

Dr. Jochen Haberstroh, Deputy Head of the Department of Archaeological Heritage at the Bavarian State Office for Monument Protection, told Medievalists that “the discovery of this settlement helps us better understand the history of the region during the time of Munich’s founding.”

Weird feelings

"Where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there." (James 3:16)

So, from this I can see that if I am getting confused, then I could be seeking self somehow so I am not with God the way we can be.

And I have seen how certain people can isolate themselves, then be spinning because they do not have stability in sharing with God

*and with His people* >

God has things so we need to be sharing and caring with other children of God.

Gaetz says he will force vote to oust McCarthy as House speaker

‘Mean girl on a revenge tour’: Kevin McCarthy has knives out for his ‘Gaetz 8’ tormentors

“He’s acting like a mean girl on a revenge tour,” Mace told Raw Story.

Gaetz faces primary challenge amid McCarthy revenge tour

Gaetz is the last of the anti-McCarthy GOP group running for reelection in a primary this year. Only one of them, Rep. Bob Good (Va.), has lost their primary, and that was after former president Donald Trump endorsed his opponent, citing other reasons. Others, such as Reps. Ken Buck (Colo.) and Matt Rosendale (Mont.), chose not to run for reelection.

Gaetz’s sole opponent is Aaron Dimmock, a retired Navy officer whom Gaetz quickly attacked over his background working in diversity training. Gaetz also has run ads playing up his closeness with Trump, who has endorsed him.

“This is Donald Trump’s party, and I’m a Donald Trump Republican,” one ad shows Gaetz proclaiming at a rally.

So far that seems to be nothing but the truth, particularly with the RNC packed with Trump relatives and followers to rubber stamp Trump's details-lite platform that departs from decades of GOP norms. That should give pause to any Republicans who honor what the GOP used to stand for.

ETA: Gaetz won his primary.

Did Esau or Jacob sin inside their mother's womb?

Sand tiger sharks practice intrauterine cannibalism:

as the sharks develop their embryonic teeth, they start to eat the other embryos, killing their unborn brothers and sisters, as well as the unfertilized eggs. It's survival of the fittest in the womb until only one shark remains.
Sharks have no conscience before God. Sin does not apply to them.

Genesis 25:

21 Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, because she was barren. And the LORD granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD. 23 And the LORD said to her,
“Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you shall be divided; the one shall be stronger than the other, the older shall serve the younger.”
24 When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb. 25 The first came out red, all his body like a hairy cloak, so they called his name Esau. 26 Afterward his brother came out with his hand holding Esau’s heel, so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
Did Esau or Jacob sin in that scenario?

I don't think so. Ro 9:

10b when Rebekah had conceived children by one man, our forefather Isaac, 11 though they were not yet born and had done nothing either good or bad—
Paul didn't think the babies struggling inside Rebekah's womb should be label as good or bad.

in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of him who calls—
Paul discussed God's sovereign election, not the moral status of unborn children.

12 she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 As it is written, “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”
Paul quoted Malachi 1:

2 “I have loved you,” says the LORD. But you say, “How have you loved us?” “Is not Esau Jacob’s brother?” declares the LORD. “Yet I have loved Jacob 3but Esau I have hated. I have laid waste his hill country and left his heritage to jackals of the desert.”
Neither Esau nor Jacob sinned before or while they were being born. Esau sinned after he was born after his conscience was accountable to God. Particularly, he sold his firstborn birthright to Jacob. That was a grievous sin.

Cognify (AI): The Prison of the Future

The Holy Spirit did tell me to watch DS9 and also do some reading about the Starcraft storyline.

I've come to realize there's something uniquely special about those two fiction. They have uncanny parallels with each other and with my life and I'm strongly convince they're "inspired" literature. Perhaps not for everyone who watches it but for those with similar past and undergoing the same challenges in their lives.
Nice stuff. I am glad that my life was not as challenging, but yes, God can speak through media. Anyways, I will have to get a movie done right now. God bless, brother.

There’s a Price to Pay When the Church Dispenses With Its Traditions

COMMENTARY: The Vatican’s apparent openness to forgo some of its longstanding institutional privileges risks reducing the Church to the status of being merely another secular organization.

On Aug. 8, Pope Francis received José-Lluis Serrano Pentalant, coadjutor bishop of Urgell, in audience. On paper, it looked like just another visit with one of the many newly elected bishops in the world. But there was something more interesting about this meeting.

The bishop of Urgell is, with the president of the French Republic, also co-prince of the tiny state of Andorra, a small enclave between France and Spain in the Pyrenees.

Bishop Serrano, coming from the ranks of the Secretariat of State, is Catalan, an essential precondition for genuinely understanding the Diocese of Urgell and the particular situation that exists with Andorra. Significantly, he is taking over the diocese after only a few months of apprenticeship as coadjutor to Bishop Joan Enric Vives i Sicilia, who reached retirement age on July 24.

What did Pope Francis and Jeff Bezos discuss today?

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Pope Francis met with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, vice chair of the Bezos Earth Fund, at the Vatican to discuss climate change.

Sánchez posted photos of the meeting at the Domus Sanctae Marthae, the residence where Pope Francis lives, in an Instagram post Aug. 15, saying that the pope’s “wisdom, warmth, and humor were deeply touching.”

“He reminded us not to take life too seriously, a simple yet powerful reminder to keep lightness in our hearts,” she wrote.

The meeting was not listed on the pope’s official agenda nor publicized through the Vatican’s media channels.

Trump Doubles Down on Medal of Honor Dig Despite Backlash From Vets

Kamala Harris still has a bit of an ego problem also, but it's just not the same as Donald Trump.

I've already mentioned her laughing and joking and lack of being able to be serious a lot. And when anyone wants her to be more serious in an interview or something like that, she seems to get upset about it, and put on the defensive about it a lot of the time. Her whole demeanor and body language changes because of it, like she really, really doesn't want to be serious, and doesn't like it very much.

Well, that's going to need to change if she wants to become our next president, and I'd like to tell her that also. It is a serious position, with a serious responsibility, that she needs to take a lot more seriously, etc.

Other leaders are probably not going to like her very much if she acts like she does in some of her interviews, etc, because they expect another leader to not be like that, and so it will probably just annoy them, and she needs to take both it and that, a lot more seriously a lot, etc.

God Bless.

Stock Market Tanking Globally

Normally, you’d expect to pay for these kinds of tools, so having them available for free directly on Binance is a nice perk. I tried some of them out, and they seem pretty handy for both spot and futures trading. Just be careful and use them wisely, as with any tool. If you're interested in exploring more options, you might want to check out forexflexea.com. They have some good features for automated trading that could work well with what Binance offers.

why do more and more USA veteran commit suicide now? because

Here is an excerpt from christianpioneer.com that describes suicide with a military emphasis. Please excuse formatting as some parts did not copy well. It might help to use the link Christian Pioneer - Thoughts of Suicide?

Christianity was supposed to be about becoming like Jesus.
c3_2.jpg
We went in the wrong direction.

Thoughts of suicide?

Types of suicide

Event driven
Disconnected
Progressive conclusion
There are painful life experiences that can be amplified by suddenness such that there seems to be no hope. The death of a child or spouse, the loss of a job or imprisonment, or when people have found themselves unexpectedly refugees from war are just some examples of these events..
The loss of foundation can create stress in life that is both unbearable and seemingly hopeless.
As a person grows, he builds upon his surroundings. This can be his family, school, town, religion, even philosophy. We often seldom consider how much of what we assume about the world we live is built upon these assumptions of life. When things happen to move us from one environment to another, we can find that we lose those things that gave us certainty and assurance.
A person can even be unaware that he has had those things upon which he has built his life eroded.
There are people for whom mental illness or other condition accentuates a self-focus as well as establishes a social barrier or stigma that amplifies both isolation and self-preoccupation. Sometimes people will attempt suicide as a manipulative tool to break down the isolation they feel only to find people even less inclined to connect with them. People can spend years considering suicide and finally act to complete what they see as the only option they have.

Military Suicide
Alien environment
  • Even if someone never goes into combat, the military environment can be so different that it can seem like living on another planet.
Alien culture
  • Sometimes the strangers you live with become closer than brothers. Other times these strangers seem to exclude you or follow a social patterns that you wish to be excluded from.
  • Often alcohol and indiscriminate fornication do not provide enough distraction to make tolerable the transition to a new life.
Alien oversight
  • Sometimes a person in the military has a "boss" for the first time in his life. Sometimes he finds his first experience working with or for someone who is incompetent, petty, vengeful, or malicious.
Relating to a machine
  • Humans are designed to live in families. The military like much of modern life is an organizational system. Systems are unable to fill the need humans have for relational attachment. No matter how many programs and procedures are initiated, the organizational life will always be alien to humans.
  • The intentional manipulation of people to robot-like performance makes people more suited to organizational systems, but incurs a cost in making people less suited to relationships.
Between two worlds
  • Just as the Indians that were taken from their tribes and raised in white schools were not able to fit into either world, military experience often creates people who feel disconnected from the world they knew and unable to find a world where they can fit in.
Shattered illusions
  • Sometimes a person will enter the military in a wave of patriotic enthusiasm. Often the grind of reality replaces this with cynicism from seeing politicians exploit naiveté for their own purposes.
You can't go home again
  • An author once wrote about the passage of time that, "You can't go home again". Military experience accelerates this such that a person is left with a much deeper sense alienation. This is magnified if there is no replacement "home".
Alone in the universe
  • A person who has lost his former foundation in life can come to see all possible futures as hopeless and meaningless.

How firm a foundation
As we grow out of childhood, we bring with us connections with out family, ways of looking at the world, and a sense of fitting into the world in some way. While we may not even be aware of these things much less appreciate them, They serve to give us a foundation to our life.
The transition to an alien life such as military experience or the encounter of sudden tragedy can expose the strength or weakness of the foundations upon which we have built our life.

The loss of foundation can be more catastrophic for a person who was unaware of how much he depended on it.
Family

First and most important foundation
  • We live in a time when family has been reduced to both parents working outside the home and children taken from the home to go to school. "Home" is mostly a place where four "roommates" reside each going in their own direction.
  • There are people for whom even the truncated family would be a step up. Single parent homes, homes where there is drug and alcohol abuse, and homes where children are under constant anxiety can produce even weaker foundations.
Values

What is important
  • Usually originating in family, values are the beliefs and ideals that shape how we look at others in relation to ourselves.
  • We often value money, easy work, avoiding consequences, feeling comfortable, and having people admire and respect us.
Culture
Automatic pilot
  • Most of us go through our daily life with little thought about why we do things. We seek to get what we can, do what we have to, and get out of what we don't want. We are mostly unaware that our habits that have been accumulated over a lifetime provide a cushion against reality so that we do not often have to face the discomfort of truth.
Future
Expectations
  • We often come to have expectations for our future based on our assumptions drawn from our family experience, values, and culture. When anything happens to shake our foundations, we can lose our hope for the future.
  • Crumbling foundations frequently result in a proportional feeling of hopelessness.

How to fix a foundation
Patch
Reducing pain
  • People can generally tolerate a large amount of pain in their lives. When pain gets too great, the most commonly sought remedy is something to make the pain fall back into the tolerable level as opposed to fixing something.
  • Sometimes people divorce or quit their job. Sometimes people take drugs or alcohol. Sometimes people move to another town. Often steps taken in the short term can contribute to even greater pain down the road.
Repair
Identifying the faulty component
  • A person may go to medical school, marry and build a family only to find that his working 80+ hours a week destroys his family. He may decide that his desire for money or the personal prestige of being a doctor is not worth the loss of his family.
Replace
Building a new foundation
  • Sometimes a person has to dig deeper in his life to find what is wrong. When many foundational elements have been eroded or damaged, it can seem an insurmountable task to build something new.

The true foundation
Jesus
Jesus.jpg
Jesus the solid rock
  • Many people discount Jesus as a foundation because they feel he is not real.
  • People fail and die. Banks fail and close.
  • Governments go in debt and fail.
  • The very earth quakes. Storms come. Drought saps the life from the land.
  • Wars come. Thieves plunder.
  • Jesus created the world. He created us. He died for our sins. He is eternal.
  • Jesus is more "real" than all the other things in which we trust.
On Christ the solid Rock I stand,
All other ground is sinking sand;

The suicide advantage
Being set free
At first it is difficult to think of any way in which thoughts of suicide could be beneficial. However, frequently when a person considers suicide, he begins to feel relief and even peace. Unfortunately this is often mistaken as confirmation of a decision to commit suicide.
What happens when we begin to mentally detach ourselves from those thoughts of hopelessness is that we find a freedom not previously known. If we reach a point where life and death do not matter, we can find that lesser matters matter even less.

This break in perspective is not a replacement foundation, but it helps to free us from being dragged down by failing foundations.

Accepting less than Christ
Churchianity
go2church.jpeg
There was a woman named Glenda who was going to go home one night and commit suicide. On her way home she picked up a tract about Jesus and was saved that very evening. At first she started attending a neighborhood church. She said she went from thinking she was the only person who had not heard about Jesus to thinking she was the only one who had.
People who have been set free from the superficial, trivial, and foolish things of the world have less tolerance for them than those who incorporate them into their own cherished foundations of life. As a result, A person who has been to the brink may not find comfort in traditional and popular Christian church practice. The alternative is to seek out individual Christians from whom you can learn to be more like Jesus or to whom you can minister and show the love of Jesus.

Fitting in
A foundation built on Jesus does not mean finding acceptance in the world. It means the peace that passes understanding. It means peace in difficulty, strength in adversity, and certainty of an eternal home with our Savior who loved us so much as to lay down his life for us.
We see the world as passing away. We see the foolish, vain, petty, sad, and pathetic things of this world as they are and find value only in love, truth, wisdom, and all good things which flow only from him upon whom we have built our foundation.

Evangelicals for Harris, Evangelicals for Satan

The Evangelicals for Harris campaign is a contradiction in terms. “Evangelicals for Harris” is as absurd as Jews for Pharaoh, Christians for Emperor Nero, or Evangelicals for Satan.

There is no such thing as “Evangelicals for Harris.” If you’re voting for Kamala Harris, you are not an Evangelical. Everyone knows this, including Evangelicals for Harris.

Earlier this week Evangelicals for Harris held a Zoom meeting hosted by Ekemini Uwan, an anti-white and pro-abortion “public theologian” who has said:

“Lets be honest, Evangelical really means white Christians. The term has always been problematic because it is narrow in that sense.”

“I don’t classify as an Evangelical because it’s tightly bound to whiteness.”

“When I see ‘Evangelical’ I know they are not talking about me or my kinsmen.”

“I’ve never considered myself an Evangelical.”

So why would a person who doesn’t consider herself an Evangelical, host a meeting for a campaign called Evangelicals for Harris?

Continued below.
I dislike all this identity politics. Society is being broken down into smaller and smaller identity groups. Now a new one is created “Evangelicals for Harris”. Now we are seeing denominations of religion being divided along identity group lines. Which is completely contradictory to being made in Gods image which is the foundation of most nations Declarations and Human Rights.

But that is the trick of the Postmodernist PC Woke machine and its agents. Its to use nobel causes as a Trojan Horse for sneeking in an ideology that opposes Gods truth and order. As humans we are sensitive to good causes. We all want inclusion and equality and for all people to be respected.

But Woke progressive ideology defies Gods order and always has for a long time. If we want to talk about reality and what has actually happened for minorities under progressive ideology we only have to look at black communities. The majority are Christians in the traditional sense and have a long history of this. One of their strengths was the traditional family values that sustained them.

They were at their strongest when nations respected and feared God. But as God has been taken out of the public square and Leftist progressive policies that dismantle the family have come in they are now suffering the consequences.

Harris is a hard Leftist and her ideas not just on abortion but on family are damaging to the very people she claims to be standing for. So long as Woke Left ideology is being pushed society will continue to breakdown and only get worse.

I am inspired by a Michaelah Montgomery who is an average black women who lives with the reality of what is happening to black communities. But not just blacks but all people. Many whites are now suffering and some to the level of minorities. This whole Leftist identity politics (and the Right does it too). But its divisive and the opposite of what Christ represents. Which is Gods word and order.

So “Evangelicals for Harris” is just another socially constructed identity group to add to the mix. Now we are not judged by our individual uniqueness in God knowing every hair on our head. But with the identity group we belong and the false morality that makes some identities more worthy and others sinners.

Its just a new Woke religion to replace God now that God is removed from centre to the fringes even coopting Gods own in the process. Like a wolf in sheeps clothing and a thief in the night.

What do you think about ephebophilia?

It's a normal sexual expression for humans. It makes sense, since that age bracket is the one where humans are most fertile. Most people also don't frown upon teenagers having relationships with each other at that age bracket. That's why the age of consent in many western countries is at 12-16, as long as the age difference isn't too big. (By the way, modern psychology defines ephebophilia as anything involving the ages 14-21, so plenty of ephebophilic relationships are legal).

Problems arise when there is a significant age, and thus power difference between the two people in a relationship. If you have a 30 year old man marrying a 14 year old girl, that is obviously against western society norms, though quite common in many other cultures. This kind of marriage also makes sense for procreation. The male is old enough and wealthy enough to care for his family, while the female is at prime child bearing age. Of course, since girls at that age aren't emotionally mature, and usually have such a marriage foisted upon them, this kind of relationship is usually wrong. But forced marriages due to a power difference between men and women are wrong regardless of age.

Also, lets not pretend that there aren't also plenty of older women who prefer teenage men.

August 19, 2024 Choose Riches of God

Daniel 5:24 KJV
Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

Daniel 5:17 KJV
Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

Respond:
This pronouncement was a direct consequence of Belshazzar's refusal to honor God and his reliance on his own strength and wisdom.

At this time Genesis 11:1-11 KJV ' This time is about a mythical tower built after the Deluge in the land of Shinar (Babylonia). The Babylonians wanted to build a city and a tower that would reach thr heavens to make a name for themselves and to symbolize their power. They believed that their unity of one language and hearing one god would allow them to collaborate efficiently and accomplish anything they wanted.

Ways you can overcome today believing in yourself like king Belshazzar' loss of his kingdom and not God is by when you think you hear from God, hearing his voice speak to you check the holy bible scriptures to see if its God's word and to obey God. You can overcome yourself (sons of men) by honoring and acknowledging God not to choose the riches of the world instead choose the riches of God.Psalms 112:3 KJV.
God had blessed me believimg in God to choose the riches of God to receive and honoring, acknowledging God in my life.

Psalms 112:3 KJV
"Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever."

Honor- The esteem due and paid to worth, high estimatation.

Ways you can honor God is to believe in God, Romans 10:9-10 . To spend time with God in prayer, and worshiping God. Live of life that honors God living righteous in God sight. Submit to God's authority.

Romans 10:9-10 KJV
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Ways you can acknowledge God is by prayer, gratitude, worshiping God, loving others with the love of God, confession of sins to God, to be part of a holy bible believing church.

Following Their Own Ungodly Passions

“But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, ‘In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.’ It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” (Jude 1:17-23 ESV)

This morning the Lord Jesus reminded me of a situation which took place in a gathering of the church where my husband and I had attended for a while back in 2008. We were actively participating in the church gatherings, and by singing in the choir, and we were enjoying the fellowship of the other professers of faith in Jesus Christ. And we regularly attended their Wednesday evening Bible study and prayer time as well as their Sunday services and their senior (for senior citizens) group activities.

It was a Tuesday in October of that year that I attended one of their senior gatherings while my husband was at work. At this gathering they had special guest artists who mimicked famous singers and dancers throughout history. This was in honor of the church’s 100th anniversary. And they had senior citizens lip syncing and dancing. One number had the women tap dancing. I like tap dancing. Yet, they were wearing skirts that were slit high up on the sides and they were shaking their legs in a sensual manner in front of men. I had to look away.

And, then they had a woman lip sync the song “Can’t Say No” about a woman who could not say “No” to men’s sexual advances. And, the people of the church applauded, including the pastor. Then, they had a woman dressed up like Marilyn Monroe singing “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.” I had to walk out on that one. We all know what she stood for and yet the church people “clapped their hands.” I went upstairs and cried and prayed. For they were applauding the grasp (bondage, addiction) that sin had on the lives of people instead of weeping over it.

The following evening at church the pastor talked about the “evil” that was in the world and he directed all his judgmental comments to the evil existing outside the church. I knew as surely as I knew anything that this was one of those times the Lord said, “speak.” Now I was in complete submission to those in authority, and in this setting both men and women were encouraged to participate in the discussion with the raising of a hand and after they were called on to speak. I raised my hand, and I was given permission to speak.

I opened my mouth and allowed the Holy Spirit to speak through me concerning the evil that they had brought right into the church and how they applauded it the day before this day. The Lord said that they would not have brought this same “show” into the sanctuary of the church, and yet they did because I am the sanctuary and you are the sanctuary and he is and she is the sanctuary of God, if we believe in Jesus Christ. This outside group, then, basically desecrated God’s sanctuary, and the people and the church leaders clapped their hands and stomped their feet, rejoicing over this.

When the Holy Spirit finished speaking through me, I stopped. The pastor just ignored what was said and went on with his lesson as though I was a bug that was on his shoulder that he just flicked off. And that was the end of the discussion at that time. Nothing ever came of it that I am aware of, and business went on as usual, as far as I know. But this was one of those situations like with Paul and Peter when Peter was acting hypocritically in public and Paul had to speak to him to that issue, also in public.

Now I am well aware that I am not Paul, and I don’t have the kind of authority that Paul had, and I am fully aware of my position as a woman. But God has called women to prophesy, i.e. to share God’s messages to the people, as well as the men, and he has gifted us equally as men with the gifts of the Spirit. And since we live in a day and time when so many of our men are spiritually AWOL and are not leading the church in the ways of the Lord, but in the ways of the flesh, God will use whoever is willing to speak his messages when they need to be spoken, but in the correct context.

For we live in the days of Noah and in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, and we are living in the days that are described for us here in the book of Jude. For so many of our leaders have gone the way of the flesh and not the way of the Spirit, and they are shepherds who are feeding themselves without concern for how they are influencing their people in the ways of the flesh and not in the ways of the Spirit. So we need people who will speak the truths of God’s words to the people to warn them against living to the flesh.

We need people of God who will “save others by snatching them out of the fire” and who will, to others, “show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.” And if God can use a donkey to speak to a false prophet he can use a woman of God to speak to men who are leading God’s people in the wrong direction, even though she has no authority over those men. And it requires great humility and submission to the Lord Jesus to speak out on these issues knowing that we will probably be ignored and/or rejected and cast aside as though we are worthless. Glory to God!

My Sheep

An Original Work / June 24, 2012
Based off John 10:1-30 NIV

My sheep hear me. They know me.
They listen to my voice and obey.
I call them and lead them.
They know my voice, so they follow me.
They will never follow strangers.
They will run away from them.
The voice of a stranger they know not;
They do not follow him.

So, I tell you the truth that
I am the gate, so you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever enters
Not by the gate; other way,
He is the thief and a robber.
Listen not, the sheep to him.

Oh, I am the Good Shepherd,
Who laid his own life down for the sheep.
I know them. They know me.
They will live with me eternally.
The thief only comes to steal and
Kill and to destroy the church.
I have come to give you life that
You may have it to the full…

They know my voice, so they follow me.

The Racism of the Left Instantly Exposed

Reminds me of a discussion I had with a left wing person who referred to racism against whites as "reverse racism", instead of just calling it racism...

...They call it "reverse racism", I suspect, because in their mind, it's impossible for non-whites to actually be superior to whites, and so, therefore it can never be considered "true" racism.

It's another case of Racism of the Left.

When Things Get Crazy

Do you ever feel so deeply
That words cannot express it?
Like the feeling of a symphony,
But your fingers just don’t get it?

You know the passion deep in heart,
As the tears stream from your eyes,
But words cannot quite capture it,
For the pain, not realize.

You search within for words to say,
But they can’t get to your lips.
It’s so incomprehensible,
Like watching a Sci-Fi flick.

But, Jesus told us this would come,
This mystery foretold,
That one day life would not be like
It was in days of old.

He said that strange things would occur,
Right ‘fore our very eyes.
So, when these things began to click,
We should not be surprised.

But, all the same, it’s really hard
To fully comprehend
What’s really happ’ning in our world,
And how it’s going to end.

So, trust in God, we must so do,
‘Though things now don’t make sense.
For He has all things in control,
His grace, He’ll not relent.

So, be assured He’s not forgot
His promises of old.
We must have courage, and His strength
In witness to be bold.

Contend for the True Faith

“Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
“Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Jude 1:1-4 ESV)

This letter is from Jude, and it appears that it is a letter written to the church, as a whole, for I see no specific reference in here to any particular physical location. So, the instructions written here should be for the church as a whole yet today. But the church is the body of believers in Jesus Christ who are the called of God to his service who are of genuine walks of faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord (Owner-Master) and Savior. So they should be all who are obeying the Lord and who are no longer walking in sin.

The purpose of the letter was for Jude to write to the Christians about their common salvation and faith in the Lord Jesus. And this faith and salvation are based on the teachings of Christ and of his NT apostles and not on the teachings of humans who are taking Scriptures out of context to make them say what they do not say if taught in the appropriate context, and who then are twisting the words of the Scriptures in order to teach a gospel of salvation which is not of God but is of the flesh of humans.

Yet that common salvation and faith in the Lord Jesus, Jude mentioned, are defined by the teachings of the Scriptures (in context) and by Jesus and by his NT apostles. And they taught that Jesus died on that cross to buy us back for God (to redeem us) out from our lives of slavery (addiction) to sin so that we will now honor God with our bodies and serve Jesus Christ with our lives in surrender to his will and in walks of obedience to his commands in holy living. Sin is no longer to have mastery over our lives.

But sadly we have many men (and some women) serving as pastors of “churches” who are perverting the grace of God for their own advantage, and who are teaching a cheapened and altered gospel of grace and of salvation which makes no requirements for us to die with Christ to sin and to walk in holiness and in righteousness in walks of obedience to our Lord and to his commands. They teach that a mere profession of faith in Jesus is enough to receive salvation from sin and eternal life with God.

Yes, they do teach that we are saved by God’s grace, through faith, and this not of ourselves, not of our own works lest we should boast. But they redefine God’s grace and the faith to believe in Jesus and the salvation which our Lord provided and what the gospel message is all about. And they teach a grace which permits the “believer” to continue living in sin without punishment, and they do not teach the forsaking of our sins and walks of obedience to our Lord as part of saving faith which saves us by God’s grace.

Thus, they are these ungodly people who have crept into the gatherings of the church who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and who deny our only Master and Lord Jesus Christ by their actions and by the lies which they teach as though they are biblical truth. For they teach that we can “believe” (not usually biblically defined) in Jesus, have all our sins forgiven, and be guaranteed entry into God’s heaven upon death, but regardless of how we live. But the Scriptures teach the opposite of that.

For the grace of God, which is bringing us salvation, is training us to renounce (say “No!” to) ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives while we wait for our Lord’s return. For Jesus “gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” And “we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Just a Closer Walk with Thee

Hymn lyrics by Anonymous/Unknown
Music by American Melody

“For indeed He was crucified because of weakness, yet He lives because of the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, yet we will live with Him because of the power of God directed toward you” (2 Co. 13:4 NASB).

I am weak, but Thou art strong;
Jesus, keep me from all wrong;
I’ll be satisfied as long
As I walk, let me walk close to Thee.

Through this world of toil and snares,
If I falter, Lord, who cares?
Who with me my burden shares?
None but Thee, dear Lord, none but Thee.

When my feeble life is o’er,
Time for me will be no more;
Guide me gently, safely o’er
To Thy kingdom shore, to Thy shore.

Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be.

Do Your Best

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15NIV).

This song is based off 2 Timothy 2. It begins with a call to be strong and to endure hardship for your Lord. It encourages us to live to please our commander, Jesus Christ. It urges us to run the race by the rules and to endure all for the elect. Then, it goes on to challenge us to understand that we must die to ourselves and to sin if we are to live in eternity with Christ. If we want to reign with him, we must first of all endure to the end with the faith we had at first. If we disown him, he will disown us. That is solemn. Yet, if we are faithless, he will remain faithful, because he cannot be less than who he is.

The passage continues with words of encouragement to do our best to present ourselves to God as workmen whom God approves, and who correctly handle the word of truth. We are cautioned against destroying the faith of others, by our own lifestyles, perhaps. Then, it tells us that the Lord knows who are his: those who turn from wickedness (who repent of their sins). We need to allow the Holy Spirit of God to cleanse our hearts of all sin in our lives, and then we need to pursue (put on) righteousness, faith, love and peace, and we need to flee evil desires, and instead be the Lord’s servants in obeying him in all things.

Do Your Best

An Original Work / November 7, 2011
Based off of 2 Timothy 2

Love You, Father, love You, Lord.
Be strong in the grace of Christ.
Endure hardship for your Lord.
Your commander, live to please.
You’ll receive the victor’s crown.
By the rules, run in the race.
Your Lord, you’ll see face to face.
Jesus Christ, raised from the dead;
Of your life, He is the head.
Endure all for the elect.

Love You, Father, love You, Lord.
If we died, we live with Him.
If we last, with Him we’ll reign.
If we disown Him today,
He will have to look away.
Even if we faithless be,
Faithful He’ll remain always.
He cannot disown Himself.
He’s our Lord and Savior, King.
He will reign o’er ev’rything.

Love You, Father, love You, Lord.
Do your best; present yourself
As one who’s approved by God.
Work as one who’s not ashamed;
Rightly share the Word of Truth.
Wander not from what you know.
Destroy not the faith of some.
God’s foundation; it stands firm.
The Lord knows those who are His:
Those who turn from wickedness.

Love You, Father, love You, Lord.
In a house are wood and clay,
Gold and silver, all array.
Some are noble, some are bad –
Cleanse your life, and you’ll be glad;
Useful to the Master’s work.
A pure heart – in righteousness,
Pursue faith and love and peace.
Bad desires you want to flee.
Gentle servant you must be.

Where will the Antichrist come from?

according to Daniel 11, the man who will be Antichrist is 3rd in line of succession to the northern kingdom that is created after an Empire that begins in the Istanbul area/western Turkey is forcefully broken up after its first king is killed.
I know many people think the first half of Daniel 11 is about Alexander and Antiochus, and then picks up to being about Antichrist partway through.
However while there are historical parallels, the primary fulfillment of Daniel 11 was not a historic event, but has to do with the future Antichrist. Daniel 8 is intimately connected with Daniel 11 and Gabriel said the Ram and the Goat vision was an end times vision. Plus there's simply no logical 2300+ year break in the narrative of Daniel 11.

If you take the erroneous historical interpretation goggles off, realizing that Daniel is a sealed book, and all interpretations of it were interpreting sealed material, you'll find that the bible tells you a lot about the rise of Antichrist.
You just have to take your blinders off and read it as it's written rather than assume "this was 330 BC and we can only guess where Antichrist is going to come from in the future."
