  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WHY WATER BAPTISIM HAD TO GO AWAY ??

New Christians may not tap into everything that is available to them to help them experience the transformation:

I do not know of any Christian group, who believe the water itself saves you, since all believe it is God who saves and God is not limited by water.

Water baptism is not a “requirement” for salvation, since God does the saving, but is something Christians get to do to help them and others.

I know that I needed everything God could provide to assure me of my conversion, both outwardly and mentally. God wants you to physically feel the experience of what is going on Spiritually.

You would like to add to your conversion a definite time place and physical experience, which God has provided for you.

Adult believers water immersion is to be a physical outward representation of what had or is happening spiritually in the person being baptized. It is mainly to help the individual being baptized to better grasp what is going on, but it can “witness” to others observing the baptism. It has the elements of going down under the water (burying the old man), placing your dependence in another; the person baptizing you (surrendering your life to God), being washed (having your sins washed away), rising out of the water (rising from the old dead body), and stepping forth out onto the earth (a new person). The person is walking out into the hugs of his new family. It is also a sign of your humility, since it is a humbling act anyone can simple allow someone to do to them (so not a work) and since humility has been shown in the accept of charity (God’s free gift of undeserving forgiveness) it should just support and add to the memory of that acceptance. To refuse Christian water baptism when it is readily available might mean you are not ready to handle other responsibility like having the indwelling Holy Spirit and you are hurting yourself.

Christian Baptism replaced John’s Baptism and not circumcision, since circumcision went on at the same time as John’s baptism and it is not in the Bible where, Jewish Christians cease circumcising their boy children after baptism became available. Circumcision was a physical visible daily reminder to all Jewish boys and men that they were a Jew. The indwelling Holy Spirit is our literal daily reminder that we are Christians. The indwelling Holy Spirit replaced circumcision and is for both men and women.
Peter, Paul and all the rest would have agreed that: “water” does not save you, only Deity (God/Christ/Holy Spirit). God does not need you to “do” anything for Him to save you, but as Christians, we have the wonderful privilege and honor to add to our Spiritual salvation, a physical remembrance by physically going through a death burial and resurrection: washing away, reliance on others, rising to a new life in the arms of fellow Christians and witnessing to other what Christ went through in remembrance. Baptism is for us, because it helps us, and some of us will need that additional help, so God wants all of us to add this physical remembrance and witness.

Look at the context of 1 Cor: 16-17, 1 Cor. 1: 10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters,[a] in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”

13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Yet tell me this: If Paul did not believe in water baptism, why did he specific give exceptions as being exceptions to his baptizing of Crispus, Gaius and the household of Stephanas?

Paul is addressing one of the many issues the Corinthian Church was having, which was division among them partly created by them being baptized by different Church leaders or disciples of those church leaders. Paul personally limited baptizing people for the same reason Christ did not baptize anyone.

Paul is not bring judgement down on being baptized, but their division and using who baptized them in dividing up.

Why would baptism not be a benefit to you?
And you say that I BAPTIZED THE household of Stephan's as for the rest , I. don't know if I had BAPTIZED any

other, PLEASEEEEEE. Notice that the Greek word WATER // HYDOR is not USED in verse 16. so check the Greek TEXT !!
And check ACTS 1:5. where the Greek WATER. //. HYDOR changes to BAPTISM go HOLY SPIRIT. and it happened

AT PENTECOST. !!

And how will you EXPLAIN Gal 6:15. and would like your REPLY !!

Yehovah God will not send you to Hell!

If the damnationists are correct, most of them are punished for being born in the wrong place.
Keeping in mind that Jesus was a "damnationist," in fact, he is the only one in the NT who speaks of hell.

"If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes
and be thrown into hell, where "their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched."
(Mk 9:47-48)

I'm sure you'll understand if I take Jesus at his word. . .

Right-wing media expresses concern about young women voters following Democratic election wins across the country

Easy. No different with Blacks in the south and Hispanics in Texas, you go to the census and find out where those young white women live, and then you gerrymander those districts till those districts look like Jackson Pollock paintings.
Or deport them back to Womenistan.

Verdict delayed for second time in Matthew Grech 'conversion therapy' case

The verdict in the case of a Christian man in Malta who is facing potential fines and prison time for giving his testimony in 2022 about leaving homosexuality was delayed for the second time last week.

Matthew Grech, 36, was scheduled to receive a ruling last Thursday in his case, which has dragged on for three years. His lawyer received an email at the last minute informing him that the verdict had been postponed, according to the London-based nonprofit Christian Concern.

Grech has been engaged in a legal battle since he was criminally charged in 2022 for giving his testimony, which was allegedly an example of discussing and promoting so-called conversion practices in violation of Article 3 of Malta's Affirmation of Sexual Orientation, Gender and Gender Expression Act.

If convicted, Grech faces €5,000 (over $5,700) in fines or up to five months in prison. Passed in 2016, the law makes it "unlawful for any person" to "advertise conversion practices." It was the first of its kind in Europe and has served as a model for similar legislation in other countries.

Christian social worker appeals after losing out on job over views on sin

A Christian social worker in the United Kingdom has appealed a tribunal ruling that upheld an employer’s decision to withdraw a mental health job offer after discovering his views on homosexuality.

The man claims his religious beliefs were the reason he was denied the position.

The case of Felix Ngole, 47, was heard late last month by the Employment Appeal Tribunal in London. He is appealing a 2024 decision by Employment Judge Jonathan Brain, in which the rescinding of a job offer by Touchtone Leeds was deemed lawful, despite the court acknowledging the action potentially amounted to discrimination.

He and his legal team argue that the tribunal's ruling effectively bars Christians with traditional views on sexuality from working in professions that serve LGBT individuals and sets a "dangerous precedent."

NT Wright contrasts Christ with Caesar in 'Exploring Philippians' series

DALLAS — Not unlike 2,000 years ago when the Apostle Paul was divinely inspired to pen his letter to the church in Philippi, Tom “N.T.” Wright wants to remind everyone that the Gospel is still unchained.

The 76-year-old New Testament scholar, Pauline theologian and Anglican bishop kicked off a three-day conference on Paul’s letter to the Philippians at Park Cities Baptist Church, where 650 attendees from Texas and across the U.S. filled the historic church sanctuary.

Wright quickly zeroed in on the letter’s prison context, noting that while most scholars agree Paul was writing to the first-century assembly in Philippi, a Roman colony located in northern modern-day Greece, there is still some debate on whether the prison from which Paul wrote was located in Ephesus, modern-day Turkey, or Rome.

What’s indisputable, said Wright, is that Paul did not consider himself or the good news of Jesus Christ bound by his imprisonment.

The Ten Commandments are the Covenant, did you know?

In the new covenant, what we are to obey is to be in our hearts that we act on those things.
The Scriptures seems clear....

We are told to obey God's laws in the New Covenant Heb8:10 they went from tablets on stone, to tablets of the heart 2Cor3:3 not changing the words as God promised Psa89:34 Mat5:18 but established on better promises Heb8:6

The OC is indeed obsolete, that's why God wrote a new one and told us what is was established on Heb8:6 and what it still contains Heb8:10

Judge partly grants Anglican chaplains group's restraining order request against ACNA

A judge has granted in part a temporary restraining order request from a chaplains group seeking to cut ties with the Anglican Church in North America.

The Jurisdiction of the Armed Forces and Chaplaincy recently filed a complaint against ACNA over the Anglican denomination’s refusal to allow the ministry to disaffiliate.

United States District Judge Bruce Hendricks of the District of South Carolina, Charleston Division issued an order last week partly granting JAFC’s request for a temporary restraining order.

According to Hendricks, while the court “does not intend to entangle itself into an internal canonical dispute over the Anglican Church’s ecclesiastical structure,” some issues raised by JAFC “may be ripe and appropriate for the Court’s consideration, such as Plaintiff’s trademark claims.”

Shouldn't Creationism be taught at public schools?

We would end up with all sorts of religious people wanting their positions in public schools. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism etc. and that's part of what the founding fathers wanted to avoid, because it leads to schisms and conflict as well as some religious positions gaining dominance over others, which often results in oppression of religions. Which is what drove the exodus from Europe to begin with.
These ideas can be presented in public schools; it just can't be done by the school itself, or any agent designated by the school. Students can do it.

NIGERIAN CHRISTIAN EMERGENCY REACHING BREAKING POINT

With 234 million people, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa.

Despite the potential that this gives it, it has become known for a far more infamous reason in recent years, becoming the epicentre of anti Christian violence in the world.
G5ZEuVTXwAAnIha.jpg

The modern state of Nigeria was created by the British in the 20th Century, bringing together a wide variety of tribes who only had the commonality of having been within the confines of British control. The country is roughly half Muslim/half Christian.
G5ZEvZ2XMAA2Bqr.jpg

The scale of violence in Nigeria is mind boggling. The Open Doors 2025 Watch List reports 3,100 Christians killed during that reporting period, with 69% of all global faith related murders taking place there.

Cardinal Müller calls for overcoming ideological divisions in the Church

Cardinal Gerhard Müller, prefect emeritus of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, called for overcoming ideological divisions within the Catholic Church in a Spanish-language interview on the “Sacristy of the Vendé YouTube channel in which he reflects on the “instrumentalization” of abuse cases.

Held last July, the interview was released this week after the coordinator of the priests’ YouTube discussion group, Father Francisco José Delgado, was acquitted of charges of “inciting hatred” against the Holy See, interfering in the Vatican’s investigation into the Sodality of Christian Life, and damaging the “good reputation” of layman José Enrique Escardó, one of the main proponents of the case against that apostolate.

Müller stated that, since its inception, the Catholic Church has experienced divisions “because of these false doctrines, heresies, or pagan ideologies” and thus proposed that “everyone has to be aware that one is following Jesus Christ and not ideologies.”

For the cardinal, within the Catholic Church it is not possible to define oneself as conservative, traditionalist, or progressive: “We must overcome these divisions that stem from the French Revolution, from the Jacobins. In the Parliament of that time, these right-wing and left-wing groups existed, but these are political and ideological concepts, not Christian ones.”

Vatican confirms investigation into alleged antisemitic act of Swiss Guard

The Pontifical Swiss Guard this week opened an internal investigation to clarify an alleged act of antisemitism committed by one of its guards against two Jewish women in St. Peter’s Square, the Vatican confirmed.

“The Pontifical Swiss Guard received a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at one of the entrances to Vatican City State in which elements interpreted as antisemitic were allegedly detected,” Holy See Press Office Director Matteo Bruni stated on Monday.

The reported incident took place during Pope Leo XIV’s Oct. 29 general audience commemorating the 60th anniversary of Nostra Aetate, the 1965 declaration on the Church’s relations with non-Christian religions.

According to a Nov. 7 report published in Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Israeli writer and theater director Michal Govrin said a Swiss Guard “hissed at” her and a female colleague, saying “les juifs, the Jews,” before “making a gesture of spitting in our direction with obvious contempt.”

President makes historic trip to Asia

Thailand suspends Cambodia ceasefire deal, testing Trump-brokered truce

Thailand said on Tuesday it was halting implementation of a ceasefire pact with Cambodia a day after a landmine blast maimed a Thai soldier, posing the biggest test for a truce brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The Thai government has accused Cambodia of planting fresh landmines along a stretch of their disputed border, including a PMN-2 anti-personnel mine that injured four Thai soldiers on Monday, with one losing a foot in the explosion.

At least they got the photo op.

What a hospice nurse affirmed for me about dying

My mother-in-law has been a Christian for many years. She’s now in her 90s and looking forward to going to Heaven.

A few years ago, doctors told her that she had a large tumor in her abdomen and that she needed to have it removed. They explained, however, that at her age, she might not survive the surgery. Without flinching, she opted to have the procedure, which proved entirely successful and free of complications.

While in the recovery room, she slowly began to regain consciousness. As her eyes opened and she looked around, realizing where she was, she blurted out, “Oh, crap!”

That was funny, but it also revealed how much she had been looking forward to being in Heaven. “To depart, and to be with Christ,” wrote the apostle Paul, “is far better” (Philippians 1:23).

What the Saints Saw at Mass Will Leave You in Awe

What truly happens at the Holy Mass? From St. John Chrysostom to Padre Pio, from St. Gertrude to St. Alphonsus Liguori, the saints saw what most of us only believe by faith: angels surrounding the altar, the Sacred Heart of Jesus burning with love, the Crucified made present anew in the unbloody Sacrifice of the Altar. The Catechism of the Council of Trent teaches that the Holy Mass is the same Sacrifice as Calvary — the same Christ, the same Victim, the same Priest — offered now in mystery for our salvation. The saints who beheld this truth were left in tears, awe, and joy beyond words. Let their vision awaken yours. If you saw what the saints saw at Mass — would you ever live the same way again?

Profane to Divine: Does God Drag You Through the Church Doors—or Do You Drag Your Feet?

Just so you know, Sister, I opened this thread hoping to hear how sinners feel the weekly threshold from the world’s noise into God’s sanctuary—stories, struggles, small victories.
But shouldn't we be seeking what comes with the power of God's blessings Exo20:11 Isa56:2 and sanctification Gen2:3 Eze20:12 and by His direction? Exo20:8-11 Lev23:3 and the examples of Jesus and the apostles? Luke 4:16 Acts 13:44 Acts 15:21 Acts 18:4 and what continues on Isa66:23

Seems like what we have been warned about 2 Timothy 3:5
Instead we’ve cycled through the same Hebrews-4 talking-points that every SDA training manual prints.
I believe you were the one who brought up Hebrews 4. Can you please show me the training manuals from the SDA as I am unaware of them, I went by Scripture only, if you disagree you are free to make a Scriptural argument. The only training manual I have is through prayerfully studying God's Word. I have been studying this passage for a long time, I only went through a tiny bit, there are a lot of OT references that if reading in context would not come to the conclusion we can break God's Sabbath or the rest Christ gives violates the 4th commandment. It's what those who came before us is referring to and why they never entered their rest into Canaan. I can show this to you by the Scriptures, but it doesn't seem like you are interested.
I’m content to let the conversation rest there.
I can understand. It’s hard to kick against the goads. I can move on after this post, unless you wish to continue.
For the record: my hope is not in calendar-keeping but in Christ’s finished work; the Lord’s Day is the gate He opens, not the merit I offer.
The Lords Day is the Sabbath Isa58:13 Mark 2:28 it always was always will be. I believe we need to let God speak for Himself, He doesn't need our help. We are told not to add or go away from what is not in God's holy word,. Isa8:20 Pro30:5-6 If anyone would know, what is God's holy day, would it not be God Himself? He was not silent on this matter. Its the same God all throughout the Bible. Mal3:6 Heb13:8 He could not have been more clearer on this topic. It is in His written and spoken Testimony Exo31:18
I could never keep things perfectly to try and prove I am in.
Faith is the key the Holy Spirit gives, and that same Spirit holds the key for me, because such a task can only be in God’s hands.
The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin 1 John3:4 James2:11, righteousness Psa119:172 Isa56:1-2 and judgement James 2:11-12 Rev11:18-19 Ecc12:13-14 Mat5:19-30 Rev11:18-19 Rev22:14-15 which are all connected to God's Ten Commandments. Faith has never voided the law, it establishes it Rom3:31 Why Jesus said: Luke 6:46-49 and the Holy Spirit is given through our love and wiliness to keep His commandments John14:15-18 and resides with those who obey Acts5:32
Got to be very careful with too many rules—always been an issue with humans.

Which one of these " human rules" that God wrote and spoke is asking too much of man? Can you point out where God of the Universe is human? He very much claimed this unit as His Deut4:13 Exo31:18 Exo20:6, and He is not human. They are all about how to love and worship God and fostering our relationship with Him and how to love our neighbor. If everyone was keeping them the way Jesus explained Mat5:19-30 as they are exceedingly broad Psa119:96 there would be no more sin in the world.

Exo20:1 And God spoke all these words, saying:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of [a]bondage.
3 “You shall have no other gods before Me.
4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor [b]serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting[c] the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
7 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

As we are told, not everyone wants to live in a world with no more sin, why there is a condemnation John3:19-21
I am more than happy to enjoy the peace that Christ gives to those around me and myself: to step into a church, hear the voices sing “oh praise Him…,” then hear the Shepherd speak “oh praise Him…,” and depart into the week with love for our Lord God—not because we earned His favor, but because we love Him as Saviour and God.
This is what God says on how to love Him:

Exo 20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
John14:15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.

I think we have all experienced relationships where our partner does what they feel is love and not what we ask. I think we can fall into similar traps with God as well.

And how to have peace:

Psa 119:165 Great peace have those who love Your law,
And [a]nothing causes them to stumble.

Isa 48:18 Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!
Then your peace would have been like a river,
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.

We are also told
Pro 14:12 There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

Why I am a big believer in allowing God's Word to speak for Itself and change our life around His Word Psa119:105 not change the bible to suit our life Pro30:5-6
May you know that same rest, and may His name be praised by all who cross from profane time into His holy assembly—whether on Saturday, Sunday, or finally in the eternal eighth day.
Can you quote the Scripture where it says the eternal 8th day, I think this is another man-made idea. God created 7 days Gen2:1-3 and told us how to keep these 7 days Exo20:8-11 so obviously there is a misunderstanding of what the 8th day is. I'll give you an example, Jesus was in the wilderness sequential 40 days, it doesn't make the workweek 40 days now, many of those were days 1-6 and the others the seventh day or the Sabbath. God in His own words said the Sabbath continues on for worship in the New Heaven and New Earth Isa66:22-23, nothing about an enteral 8th day anywhere.

Regarding the day doesn't matter, I can't help but wonder if Eve used this same reasoning, what difference is one tree from another. Its not about the day itself, its about the power behind who is asking and what it represents. We are told whoever we obey is who we serve (worship) Rom6:16, end times comes down to the battle of worship you can see this in Rev13 & Rev14. Jesus in His own words defined what false worship is Mark7:7-13 Mat15:3-14 and we see this in Rev14:11 which the next verse gives the solution or antidote Rev14:12
Grace to you.

Have a great day/night

Bye for now.
I wish you well, truly and blessings.

Prefer Not The World

“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:15-17 NASB1995)

This word translated as “love” is agapaó (agape) which means “to prefer.” Most always it is used in the biblical context of to prefer to love, to prefer what God prefers, to live through Christ, choosing his choices, and obeying them in his power. It mainly means to prefer what is righteous, holy, morally pure, upright, honest, faithful, and obedient to God and to his commands. But sometimes it just means “to prefer,” such as in this present context.

And so when this says that we are not to love the world, first of all this is not speaking of the people of the world who we are to love, preferring what God prefers, and obeying God and his commandments. But what this is teaching is that we are not to prefer what is of the world, i.e. what is carnal, which is of the flesh and of the lusts of the flesh and of the eyes and of the pride of life. We are to have no part with what is worldly and fleshly and against God.

For to love (prefer) the world would mean to give preference to the world and to its sinful passions and desires over and above God and in place of God. For to prefer is to favor, desire, choose, wish for, and to want, instead of the alternative, which in this case is God and his righteousness and his holiness. And many professers of faith in Jesus Christ are in this category of those who are preferring the world and its pleasures over and above God.

If that is where you are, professing faith in Jesus Christ, but preferring the things, the character, and the behaviors of this sinful world over holy living and righteousness, godliness, moral purity and obedience to God and to his commands, then according to what this teaches, the love of God the Father is not in you, because all that is of this sinful world, and which appeals to human flesh and to sinful desires, is not from the Father, but from the world.

And then we have this statement that, “The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.” And what this is letting us know here is that if we continue to live according to the lusts of the flesh and in accord with sinful desires, that regardless of what faith in Jesus Christ we profess, we will die right along with the world, and we will not have eternal life with God, even if someone promised us that we will.

For Jesus Christ taught that to come to him we must deny self, take up our cross daily (die daily to sin), and follow (obey) him. For if we hold on to living in sin and for self, we will lose our lives for eternity. But if we deny self, die daily to sin, by the Spirit, and we walk in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in his power, then we have eternal life with God. For not everyone who calls him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one DOING (obeying) the will of God (see Luke 9:23-26; Matthew 7:21-23).

For by God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ, which is not of our own doing, we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin but as slaves to righteousness in walks of obedience to God’s commands. We are no longer to permit sin to reign in our mortal bodies to make us obey its desires. For if sin is what we obey, it results in death. But if obedience to God is what we obey, it results in sanctification, and its end is eternal life with God (see Romans 6:1-23).

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 2:5-10; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 10:19-39; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:1-10; 1 John 2:3-6; 1 John 3:4-10; Revelation 2:1-29; Revelation 3:1-22]

So believe what the Scriptures teach in the correct biblical context. Believe the gospel of salvation taught by Jesus and by his New Testament apostles in the appropriate context in which they were originally written. Do not put your hope and faith in Scriptures which are pulled out of context and which are altered to make them say what they don’t say if taught in the proper biblical context. Search the Scriptures for yourselves and believe God.

As the Deer

By Martin J. Nystrom
Based off Psalm 42:1

As the deer panteth for the water
So my soul longeth after You
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You

You alone are my strength, my shield
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my heart's desire
And I long to worship You
