Lords supper, does it have to be bread and wine?

... Sure! Lord's supper generally...
And I see TWO verse that talks about the The Lords Supper !!

One is for the BODY OF CHRIST , in 1 Cor 11:20--32 !!

The other is in Matt 29 and this one is in the FUTURE Kingdom when Christ will drink it a NEW with you in my Father's KINGDOM .

And the Greek word NOT // OU is a DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGATIVE and means NEVER DRINK again until the MILLENNIAL KINGDOM with the 12 apostles >

Jubilant: 4 archdioceses celebrate biggest ordination classes in years

MINNESOTA PRIESTHOOD ORDINATION
Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda of St. Paul and Minneapolis lays hands on Christopher Yanta during the rite of ordination, a sign of the conferral of the priestly office, at the Cathedral of St. Paul in St. Paul, Minn., May 25, 2024. Father Yanta was one of 13 men ordained to the priesthood during the ordination Mass at the cathedral. (OSV News photo/Dave Hrbacek, The Catholic Spirit)

WASHINGTON (OSV News) — The crowd filling the pews and aisles of the largest Catholic church in the United States witnessed the largest ordination class in Archdiocese of Washington in 64 years, as Cardinal Wilton D. Gregory ordained 16 new priests for the archdiocese during a June 15 Mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

It is the archdiocese’s largest ordination class since 1960, when 17 men were ordained the year that John F. Kennedy was elected as the nation’s first Catholic president.

Besides the Washington Archdiocese, other U.S. archdioceses have seen record ordination classes this spring, including the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, with 13 new priests, the Archdiocese of Los Angeles with 11 and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee with nine.

It's good to see the Yanta kid ordained. His parents were on fire for the faith. That other bishop looking on was my old pastor Fr. Michael Izen, now bishop Izen.

I don't really know bishop Hebda but his name has already been dropped as papabile.

WHAT DOES THE VIRTUOUS LIFE LOOK LIKE?

“Growing in virtue is not a passive activity, nor is it complicated or enigmatic. It happens in the ordinary circumstances of daily living.”

Picture a virtuous person.

Maybe you thought of a cloistered nun in prayer. Or perhaps a saint on a holy card (probably also in prayer). If you’re honest, maybe you pictured someone who is no fun. A stuffy “prude.”

We should be picturing our neighbor. Our spouse. Our coworker. And someone out there should be picturing us.

WHAT IS A VIRTUE?

The Catechism tells us that a virtue is “an habitual and firm disposition to do the good” (CCC 1803). It is important to note that first adjective. Habitual. If I am virtuous, it does not mean that I did something good once. It means it is my inclination.

This does not mean that I will never sin again, of course. But for the person who has acquired the virtue of honesty, their initial response in a situation is to tell the truth. They are not inclined to lie. The patient person does not get angry when someone in front of them is driving five below the speed limit. It does not bother them. It is not that they held their tongue once. It is that their inclination, their tendency, their status quo is not to get angry.

For the person who has acquired the virtue of temperance, he or she is not ruled by their sense appetites. They stop eating when they are full. They can look at one post on Facebook and then put their phone down for a few hours. They are not lured into eight minutes more of sleep by the temptation of their snooze button.

Again, it is not that there is never a temptation. Rather, the struggle against the temptation gets easier as the person works at growing in virtue. Perhaps some day they will have grown in virtue so much, there will be no temptation at all.

In all of this, the good is chosen happily. The virtuous person does not begrudge getting out of bed without pushing the snooze button. The virtuous person is not bitter they cannot lie when it would benefit them. If I am a virtuous person, not only is choosing the good easy, it makes me happy.

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT?

What is the official position of the Catholic Church on globalization?

The Catholic Church looks favourably on the interconnectedness of nations and peoples. Globalisation represents an opportunity to combat global poverty, foster peace and promote human rights.
————
Catholic thinkers often refer to the words of Pope John Paul II that "globalization, a priori, is neither good nor bad. It will be what people make of it.”

There are opinions throughout the Church but there really is no official position.

It’s not a perfect world and it could be used for good or not. Just like anything.

Wisconsin Chef Derek Schreiber, With a Recipe for Chicken Marsala

Schreiber is one of the leading chefs at his parish’s annual dinner in Wisconsin.

Recipe: Chicken Marsala

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 (6- to 8-ounce) boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut in halves and pounded thin
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 3/4 cup marsala cooking wine
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped chives, for garnish
Directions:

In a shallow bowl, combine the flour and Cajun seasoning and stir to combine thoroughly. Coat the chicken breasts in the seasoned flour mixture, shaking to remove any excess flour.

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of the butter and cook the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Add 1 tablespoon of the remaining butter to the pan and add the mushrooms. Cook, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are golden brown. Add the Marsala wine and bring to a boil, scraping to remove any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. When the wine has reduced by half, add the chicken stock and cook for 3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Lower the heat to medium and return the chicken breasts to the pan and continue to cook until they are cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 5 to 6 minutes. Stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add salt and pepper to taste and garnish with chopped chives. Serve immediately.

Recommended pairings:

  • Mushroom risotto
  • Wild rice
  • Blanched asparagus

What is the significance of the Flaming Sword?

Isaiah 29:1
"Woe to Ariel, to Ariel, the city where David dwelt! add ye year to year; let them kill sacrifices."

Isaiah 29:2
"Yet I will distress Ariel, and there shall be heaviness and sorrow: and it shall be unto me as Ariel."

Put it together people!

Because of the association of Jerusalem with the name "Ariel", it is likely that this is an allusion to the fires of Gehenna (or Gehinnom), a valley near Jerusalem deemed cursed because of its association with early pagan religions (Ba'als and Canaanite gods, including Moloch) where children were sacrificed by immolation.

Keep reading...

"Ariel" is sometimes associated with the better known Judeo-Christian Archangel Uriel

One more...

Uriel is often identified as a cherub and the angel of repentance. He "stands at the Gate of Eden with a fiery sword", or as the angel "who is over the world and over Tartarus.

There. Let those who can receive it, receive it.

Love or Commitment? Which is better to have?

Romantic love can fade and grow over time. Commitment allows love to persist through the highs and the lows. In this sense, I choose commitment so that love may survive.

That being said, there are many definitions of love. Some of which are are inherently entwined with commitment. If love includes commitment, then I would do just as well to choose love.

Servant of the Lord

We, as followers of Christ, have all been called to be his servants and witnesses in taking the gospel to the ends of the earth, in making disciples (of Christ) of all nations, and in teaching them to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20).

We are to serve the Lord with our whole heart and mind. This means we give everything to the Lord, and he doesn’t just get the leftovers. It means our primary purpose and goal in life is to please the Lord and to follow Jesus Christ wherever he leads us – to be set apart (unlike; different) from the world, and to be set apart to God and to his service. This is what it means to be holy. (see Romans 1:1-17)

Servant of the Lord

An Original Work / July 26, 2012
Based off Romans 1:1-17

Servant of the Lord;
For the gospel you’re set apart.
Promised through the prophets of old:
Jesus, Son of God.
Through Him, and for His name alone,
We receive His grace
To call people, Him to obey;
Coming from their faith.
Servant of the Lord,
For the gospel you’re set apart.
Promised through the prophets of old:
Jesus, Son of God.

You belong to Christ;
Loved by God, and called to be saints;
Serving God with whole heart and mind;
Preaching Jesus Christ;
Always praying for others’ needs;
Helping hand to lend;
Giving courage to others’ faith,
For the praise of God.
You belong to Christ;
Loved by God, and called to be saints;
Serving God with whole heart and mind;
Preaching Jesus Christ.

Servant of the Lord;
Of the gospel, I’m not ashamed;
For salvation, power of God
To those who have faith.
In the gospel find righteousness:
Being right with God.
Turn from sin, and trust Jesus Christ.
By faith, live in Him.
Servant of the Lord;
Of the gospel, I’m not ashamed;
For salvation, power of God
To those who have faith.

Discussion I am now doubtful , about my salvation.

I might suggest, as I have with other topics, example Continuationism and Cessationism. I suggets you fellows make a new thread, putting exhaustively all the scriptures in the first two or three posts, and then interpret for a conclusion. The subject being salvation and sanctification.

I agree.

Branching off into a mature subject like this and going off topic is unnecessary.

‘ Bishop of Rome’: A Theologically Fruitful Clarification of the Church as a Communion of Believers

COMMENTARY: The new document helpfully lays out the internal Catholic debates about the nature and role of the papal office.

The Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, headed by Cardinal Kurt Koch, recently published a lengthy new text on the question of the papacy and ecumenical relations.

The document, “The Bishop of Rome: Primacy and Synodality in the Ecumenical Dialogues and in the Responses to the Encyclical Ut Unum Sint,” is not a magisterial text like an encyclical or apostolic exhortation, but is rather a “study document” intended to reopen ecumenical conversations that have been stalled.

However, I think its true value will most likely end up being something that is only tangentially related to its legitimate ecumenical aims. Indeed, with its exhaustive listing of the various discussions that preceded it, the text shows us that the ecumenical movement remains mired in a series of impasses that are unlikely to be resolved any time soon. And the issues involved go far beyond the single question of papal authority.

Therefore, the document’s initial impact will, in my view, be the reinvigoration of internal Catholic discussions about the proper exercise of the papal office. I think the text itself gives evidence of an awareness of this reality in its repeated emphasis on the need for a more “synodal” Church. The ongoing processes established by Pope Francis relating to the Synod on Synodality create a context for this document that makes its relevance for Catholic discussions of the topic even more pronounced, if not urgent. Indeed, the text itself implies that the best way for the Church to appear authentically committed to the ecumenical cause is by taking very real concrete steps in the direction of a less papally-centered Church.

Therefore, the ecumenical aims of the text are in a direct relationship with the Church’s own internal efforts at reform. And given the intractable nature of so many of the ecumenical debates — debates that are amply documented in the text — one gets the distinct impression that there is a “hidden audience” that this text intends to reach, and that is the audience of those who will be involved in the upcoming synod, either directly or indirectly.

To that end, one of the document’s most important features is that we are given very concrete indications, perhaps for the first time, of just how the Vatican under Pope Francis is defining the term “synodality.” This is important since one of the chief criticisms of the synodal process has been an ongoing lack of definitional clarity on the topic, causing many to question the legitimacy of the entire process and view it more as a stalking horse for various liberal causes rather than a true exercise in the reform of the papal office.

In the Strength of the Lord

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” (Ephesians 6:10-20 ESV)

Does the Lord Jesus ever speak to you through the everyday circumstances of your lives, like in parables, like he did when he lived on the earth to the people of his time, in order to illustrate biblical truth to them and to us? He does that way for me sometimes, and today was one of those times. So, I am going to share with you a little bit of that, and then how the Lord spoke to me, and it goes right along with this passage of Scripture from today.

blog my walker.jpg
Now, so that you can relate with what I am relaying to you, I took pictures of the setting which I will post along with this writing so that you can follow along with me. For I have a room in the apartment where my husband and I live where I have my table, which is where I write these daily devotions and sometimes poems and memes, and where I record video talks and post songs, too. And that is where I was seated as I took 2 of these photographs.

Now I looked over to my right this morning and I saw what looked like a black cockroach on the floor up against the wall underneath my walker, which was underneath my window, which was in between my bench and my closet. And to the right of where I was seated, adjacent to my closet, was my end table next to my chair, and on and/or over that table were images of lighthouses and my Bibles, hymn books, poems, and song lyrics.

Now all of these images, combined together, not only gave me a picture of the full gospel message, but also of the opposition to the true gospel, represented by the cockroach underneath (below, less than, bottom, lower). And a cockroach represents someone malicious who is morally unclean, a deceiver, a manipulator, an opportunist, someone who is opposite of good, who tells lies, who is not trustworthy, who is egocentric, who is a fake and who fakes his Christianity, and a person or a member of a group of people regarded as undesirable and rapidly procreating (breeding, multiplying).

*I took the photos after the cockroach was taken out of the picture.

So, let’s begin with the window. The curtain was opened so that I could see the light coming from the Son. This represents Jesus Christ dying for us on that cross, shedding his blood for us, which opened that curtain for us into the Holy of Holies and into a personal relationship with God – Father, Son Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit – by genuine God-persuaded and God-gifted faith in Jesus Christ whereby we are crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to now walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and his righteousness (Romans 6:1-23).

And the walker not only represents our walks of faith in the Lord, in conduct, and in practice, but our dependency upon our walker (the Lord Jesus Christ and his word and his Spirit) to assist us in our walks of faith and obedience to him, for without him we cannot live the Christian life. But the opposition that is lower, less than our walker are all those who dilute and alter the gospel message to make it more attractive and appealing to the flesh and who try to discourage us from relying upon the Lord and his spiritual armor with which to fight off Satan and his wicked schemes against us.

To the right of my walker, which is under the light of the Son, is my closet. And a closet is a place of storage, and can often represent our hearts, which are either surrendered to the Lord or not. And the light of the Son represents the light of life in Christ Jesus, and the truth of the gospel and of his righteousness. To the left of my walker is my bench, which to me represents the law of the Lord and his authority over my life and his justice and mercy and judgments. And then my end table, adjacent to the closet (my heart) is symbolic of the altar of God where I meet with the Lord.

blog my table.jpg
On that altar of God and over it is the word of God and psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and the light of the truth of the gospel. And the chair adjacent to it represents the authority of Jesus Christ that is over my life. So when I sit in that chair, and I study the Scriptures, and I sing the hymns and spiritual songs, and I respond to the light, this is indicative of a life that is surrendered to Jesus Christ as Lord and who is a true worshiper of him. And then across from that is my desk where I write what the Lord gives me to write each day from his word to put on the internet, which is ministry.

All of this combined together gives us a true picture of the gospel of our salvation. For Jesus Christ didn’t die on that cross just to forgive us our sins and to promise us heaven when we die. He died that we might die with him to sin daily, and that we might walk with him daily, in his power, in walks of obedience to his commands in holy living, by his grace and mercy. And all of this will transform us in our hearts and minds away from walking in sin to now walking in moral purity, uprightness, godliness, honesty, and faithfulness to our Lord and in doing what he has called each of us to do.

Now, the “cockroaches” of the world represent not only those who are teaching lies and who are deceiving people into believing that they can “believe” in Jesus, have all their sins forgiven, and be guaranteed heaven when they die, but regardless of how they live, as though that is the full gospel message, but the “cockroaches” are the lies themselves, and these false gospel presentations which don’t talk about the necessity of walking in obedience to our Lord in holy living, by his grace, and which don’t lead us to obeying our Lord in the ministry to which he has called all of us to do.

So, the Lord is telling us here in this passage that we need to daily put on (put into practice) the armor of God, which is our salvation and his righteousness and
blog my desk.jpg
obedience and holy living and the word of God and our testimonies for the Lord and our witness for his gospel and our service to him in ministry and our walks of faith and our prayers to God. Our hearts need to be surrendered to the Lord to doing his will and purpose for our lives so that we can refute and reject the lies of the enemy that he is throwing at us via these “cockroaches” of the world.

And so we must get rid of the “cockroaches” in our lives which might be tempting us to sin against the Lord and to receive and to accept a diluted gospel of salvation which does not require death to sin and living to the Lord in walks of faith and obedience to our Lord in holy living. And we are to receive and to apply to our lives the truth of the gospel, instead, which involves us daily putting on this armor of God to fight off Satan, which then results in the fruit of the Spirit in our lives in ministry and in character and in behaviors that are committed to the Lord and to his service.

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

Washington, D.C. Newsroom, Jun 18, 2024 / 12:12 pm

With the second anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision by the U.S. Supreme Court approaching, thousands are expected to travel to the nation’s capital to partake in the second annual Celebrate Life Conference from June 21–23.

In response to the June 24, 2022, ruling, which overturned Roe v. Wade and the authority to regulate abortion to states, the Pro-Life Women’s Conference and National Sidewalk Advocacy Center have joined forces to convene the upcoming Celebrate Life Conference, offering attendees opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and strategizing to protect unborn children.

Among many events scheduled to take place at this year’s conference, March for Life President Jeanne Mancini will deliver the opening keynote session on the next steps for the pro-life movement following the Dobbs decision.

In addition to Mancini, the lineup of speakers includes Abby Johnson, founder of And Then There Were None and ProLove Ministries; Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America; Shawn Carney, president of 40 Days for Life; and Lauren Muzyka, founder of Sidewalk Advocates for Life, among others.

Federal court shields U.S. bishops from abortion mandate as lawsuit plays out

A federal court on Monday protected the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from a new federal abortion rule as litigation over the directive plays out in court.

The USCCB will not be “forced to support employee abortions against their religious beliefs” while a federal lawsuit works its way through the courts, the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty said in a Monday press release.

The bishops, along with several other Catholic plaintiffs including the Catholic University of America, filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration last month over regulations that would require that employers accommodate women for workplace limitations that arise from “having or choosing not to have an abortion.”

The new regulations issued by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) were related to the implementation of the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). The pregnancy law itself does not mention abortion.

German police arrest 25 over far-right plot to overthrow government

Trial opens of ‘esoteric’ wing of alleged German coup plotters

Eight alleged members of the German far-right Reichsbürger have gone on trial accused of a plot to violently overthrow the state, in the third in a row of similar court cases being held across the country.

Held at a high-security court in Munich, the trial of the so-called esoteric wing is, like two others taking place in Stuttgart (the so-called military wing) and Frankfurt am Main (allegedly the core plotters), scheduled to last until January but could, prosecutors have said, take years to complete.

Among those on trial in Munich are Hildegard Leiding, 60, a member of the rightwing AfD party and an astrologer, who was allegedly destined to become the group’s “trans-communications minister”.

Together with a welder from the Bavarian rocker scene, Leiding was said to have used “spiritual criteria” to pick out appropriate candidates for the future government, including a celebrity cook from Austria, tasked with feeding the new regime a healthy diet, and a practising GP, described by former patients as “established and respected” in her community.

The woman, who is said to have become radicalised during the pandemic and specialised in a method of predicting the future through reading eggs, known as oomancy, was expected to become the health minister.

The Biggest ‘Revisionist History’ About Jan. 6, 2021 Comes From Democrats Like Nancy Pelosi

only in part sister . cause the left does worse and so do it news folks .
not only do they not blame , or fault in any way those who burned down stuff
heck they supported it . I dont seem to remember to many right wing news folks actually
SUPPORTING the actual event and actions of jan sixth . SOME probably did .
But both sides are guilty sister . and the sooner we stop trusting in men
the far BETTER OFF we gonna be sister .
you see i dont expose just the sins of one side , but all sins .
IT probably is why i am so hated both by conservatives and liberals
and etc . But it is what it is . I aint ever gonna stop either .
Now its time we get us into the bible , be in prayer , be learning and stop trusting in men . TRUST In GOD .

Do you have any concrete examples for the bolded parts?

Yes . but every time i try and point us all back to what and who we need
or every time i try and write things , I keep getting told stay on the subject etc .
We are not gonna make it my friend . This breaks my heart because i desire good for all peoples .
But we , and when i say we i mean the church , we have sat under the wrong version of love
the wrong version of unity , the wrong concepts that have gave rise to evil
because it shuts out the voices of those that expose evil , FOR way too long .
THIS generation is not gonna make it . you dont know how much that breaks my heart .
In fact most probaby see me as a hater cause i expose sins
That mindset allowed evil to take over and gain a very strong hold . And as much as i warn
and i do warn because i love the peoples so , it seems the more they see me as the enemy .
But be that as it may , and may you be encouraged by what i say next ,
Be that as it may , the only way this people , this govt , this world
is gonna take the bible from me , is they gonna have to pry it from my cold dead fingers .
I am staying in the scriptures my friend . I WISH all had . that i say to the church .
But its gonna cost me very much in the days ahead . But i love the peoples .
AND i have a slogan for us all .
Before i write it , i want us to know i am not political at all .
BUT here it is , ITS TIME TO MAKE BIBLICAL DOCTRINE and CORRECTION , GREAT AGAIN . sorry i stole the great again from trump .
But man this people is not gonna make it . This has been a very hard road , when i say hard
i mean its very hard to watch those YOU LOVE keep attacking the very truth i bring which was meant for their good .
My heart wallows in tears my friend . But as i wrote above , many are not gonna make it . But
while i got breath i must do as i must in hopes at least some or a few might hear . My desire IS GOOD for people .
But they see me as evil . Not that being persecuted itself bothers me . IT dont .
What bothers me is the fact that those i love are gonna perish on that path they are on because they wont
come to the TRUTH .
Your Joycean answer didn’t provide any concrete examples.

America's Drinking Water Problem - PFAS

How 3M Discovered, Then Concealed, the Dangers of Forever Chemicals

The company found its own toxic compounds in human blood

Kris Hansen had worked as a chemist at the 3M Corporation for about a year when her boss, an affable senior scientist named Jim Johnson, gave her a strange assignment. [In 1997,] Johnson wanted Hansen to test human blood for chemical contamination.

Several of 3M’s most successful products contained man-made compounds called fluorochemicals. In a spray called Scotchgard, fluorochemicals protected leather and fabric from stains. In a coating known as Scotchban, they prevented food packaging from getting soggy. In a soapy foam used by firefighters, they helped extinguish jet-fuel fires. Johnson explained to Hansen that one of the company’s fluorochemicals, PFOS—short for perfluorooctanesulfonic acid—often found its way into the bodies of 3M factory workers. Although he said that they were unharmed, he had recently hired an outside lab to measure the levels in their blood. The lab had just reported something odd, however. For the sake of comparison, it had tested blood samples from the American Red Cross, which came from the general population and should have been free of fluorochemicals. Instead, it kept finding a contaminant in the blood.

Hansen didn’t want to share her results until she was certain that they were correct, so she and her team spent several weeks analyzing more blood, often in time-consuming overnight tests. All the samples appeared to be contaminated.

In subsequent weeks, Hansen and her team ordered fresh blood samples from every supplier that 3M worked with. Each of the samples tested positive for PFOS.

In the middle of this testing, Johnson suddenly announced that he would be taking early retirement.

...

What Hansen didn’t know was that 3M had already conducted animal studies—two decades earlier. They had shown PFOS to be toxic, yet the results remained secret, even to many at the company.

In 1979, an internal company report deemed PFOS “certainly more toxic than anticipated” and recommended longer-term studies. That year, 3M executives flew to San Francisco to consult Harold Hodge, a respected toxicologist. They told Hodge only part of what they knew: that PFOS had sickened and even killed laboratory animals, and had caused liver abnormalities in factory workers. According to a 3M document that was marked “confidential,” Hodge urged the executives to study whether the company’s fluorochemicals caused reproductive issues or cancer. After reviewing more data, he told one of them to find out whether the chemicals were present “in man,” and he added, “If the levels are high and widespread and the half-life is long, we could have a serious problem.” Yet Hodge’s warning was omitted from official meeting notes, and the company’s fluorochemical production increased over time.

Highest PO, Hallow or Hollow?

“The founders didn't want this sort of democracy at all. The Constitution is written so that citizenship rights are very, very limited,” he says. “They worried about democracy ... It was a bad form of government because once you let everybody participate, then you're likely to elect a demagogue. You're likely to have people come to power who appeal to the frenzy of the masses. That idea is long gone.”

and that's we we have .... a

demagogue

: a leader who makes use of popular prejudices and false claims and promises in order to gain power
Citizens rights are not limited but instead guaranteed by the Constitution. They were much more limited under the Articles of Confederation, as states limited their citizens rights differently. The states were a mess and the Founding Fathers fixed that with the Constitution.
