Here’s the No. 1 fallacy on eternal security

Paul knew well that he could not identify any specific person as being delfintivel;y numbered among the elect. In Phil 3 He even said that he had not yet attained to the ressurection but was strivng towards that end.
Paul knew exactly who the elect were. In Phillipians he addresses his letter to:

“Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons:”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

Here he is even including the overseers and deacons. Are you really going to argue that Paul was not one of the elect? Really? Your argument is total nonsense.
We think His burden is light. You speak as if it's non-existent.
I’m just quoting the holy scriptures.

““Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

You dont believe scriptures? Why do you think that His yoke is not comfortable and His burden not light? Is that because of your churches teaching‘s about faith plus works? Are you good enough to attain salvation? Are you works sufficient?
And our's isn't faith plus works of the law. It's faith plus good fruit, works of grace, good works that we were created in Chrsit Jesus to do, that God prepared in advance, works that are done not out of a sense of ovbligation but out of the love that's been poured into our hearts Rom 5:5. "...faith working though love" Gal 5:6
Yours is indeed faith plus works. The most famous verse in scripture will prove your church completely wrong.

““For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭NASB2020‬‬

I don’t see works here. Do you?

Depends on what you mean. Often love can be a hard chocie, involving self-sacrifice. And God's after more than just natural love, of course, but after a love that only he can produce in us.
"If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." Matt 5:46-48
And we shall be perfect. Just not yet. As I stated Glorification does not happen until our eternal state.

Getting back to the last part of Matt 5 quoted above: "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
Thats not happening until our eternal state. Hopefully you know this but you keep bringing this up.
If we're not on that road, that Way, that "jourrney to perfection" as it's been called; if we aren't closer to perfection, perfection in love to put it best, by virtue of our encounter and union with God than we were say, 5 or 10 years ago, then we should really question whether or not we're one of His.
Again, you deflected my post. Address my post instead of posting over what I wrote.

What did they teach you in school , flat or round earth?

We were always taught the heliocentric model I can’t remember ever being taught anything else. About the only time it first dawned that there was such a belief as flat earth was while watching a re run of aa old uk comedy the Dave Ellen show. They were in pursuit of the end of the world. Then suddenly they came to their destination and their ship fell off the edge of the world . Converted me straight away : )

Do you feel comfort from Isaiah 56?

It's kind of comforting because it shows that failing to get married isn't a sign of lack of favor from God.

I wouldn't regard marriage and children as "milestones" as a Christian. You don't know what is God's plans for your life. Many of the disciples of Jesus died single and Apostle Paul explained legitimate reasons how a spouse can become a huge hindrance to the cause (I suppose no matter the strength of your faith).

I'm a very keen observer of human struggles and I saw how married Christians let their marriage limit their faith. Some even told me in my face, there are things they can't do for Christ or the extent they can seek the truth due to the danger it poses to their families. Most married Christians I know have similar sentiments so I guess Apostle Paul is right about marriage. It's more a bad thing than a good thing for Christians.
Wise post. You get it, sir.

I would say it is comforting b/c it's saying how we can tell God is favoring us, it isn't based on what he think it is. Remember: the Jews (& mankind to this day) think it's based on your family (or position in the world): God is saying here it's not. That makes me so happy!

Heather Honey, researcher who has distorted 2020 voter data, appointed to Homeland Security election integrity role

Oh...but I'm sure she showed her work somewhere.

I'm sure someone who supports this choice will definitely be willing to find evidence of her capacity.

In the meantime, my vice presidency of my community garden committe should get me a spot under a jd Vance presidency.
Whoops, you are right, I feel so embarrassed.
Thanks for correcting me I will grow a flowerbed like this

Tell it to @Pommer

Pommer said:
Oh I see, there’s nothing “wrong” with it, per se, just that it was overly critical of the facts of the matter, that being this person has a documented history of fudging the numbers. Okay.

(emphasis added by me)

And please stop with the misquote via editing tactics. It's rather tacky.
Did I get something wrong?
Mercy me, where’s my cat-o-nine-tails!?

Mass Shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church/School in Minneapolis

Gun registration is advocated so that the government knows who owns guns, with a future plan for gun confiscation in mind. Don't try and violate our Constitution. Because a person has contempt for gun ownership is not a valid reason to take away the rights of others.
Theres no OBLIGATION to be paranoid, you know.

There's quite a few 2a critics that have 0 contempt for guns.

If you want to talk about emotions and lack of sense talk about gun lovers.

Mass Shooting at Annunciation Catholic Church/School in Minneapolis

Sounds like your objections to my argument are more personal than anything else. People who argue in favor of gun control pretty much always do it based on their emotions. That's why they always lose.
Yes. We are real emotional about wanting children to not get shot.

No other country in the world has the gun violence peoblem you have (unless you're counting the 3rd world...which....maybe be appropriate I guesss).

Nobody in the world also has a subsection of the population making the arguments you do to keep the status quo.

2nd ammendment supporters are the outlier amongst developed nations.

And rhe argument is always so stupid
"Gun laws won't stop violence"

Listen up. Nothing will.

What is going to reduce e gun Violence? Gun laws will. There is even evidence that it can happen in the USà

What do you consider a Biblical Church?

For those who are promoting their church as the only true church, please understand I was not talking about denominations but what YOU personally need to see in a church to make it acceptable.

I hear "biblical" and "acceptable" as meaning two quite different things.

In some sense, of course, almost all churches give importance to the Bible, so almost all churches are "biblical" churches in that way.

But when I hear a church describe itself as a "biblical church" (I've also heard the similar phrase "New Testament church"), it suggests to me a church that bases itself on the Bible to the exclusion of many other things. In that church, the Bible is much more important than, say, Christian Tradition or secular scholarship.

This is not the same as what I would mean if I said that a church was "acceptable", in the sense of being a place that I could be happy joining, where I could worship and serve God and thrive in my Christian faith.

Are you asking about what would make a church "acceptable" to me, to consider joining and worshipping in that church?

Bondi fires Justice Department employee for gesturing at National Guard

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi fired a Department of Justice official on Friday for making a vulgar gesture to members of the National Guard deployed to Washington, D.C., on her way to work.
Carter never micromanaged this good!
