On the campaign trail, President Joe Biden pledged that there would be an "absolute wall" between his official duties and his family's private business interests. The Biden White House repeatedly made reference to that wall when responding to questions about the fledgling art career of Hunter Biden, the president's son. In 2021, when a New York art gallery debuted Hunter Biden's paintings with asking prices as high as $500,000, the White House said that his team had a process for carefully vetting buyers, and that their identities were known only to the gallery, and not to Hunter Biden himself.
The White House has promised transparency. The American people deserve answers.

If the buyers' indentities were only known to the gallery owner, why would there be a problem?
It's a little hard when you have Hunter over for dinner and have his painting hanging on the dining room wall. Do you really think that Hunter's paintings are worth more than the great masters?

The gallery sets the price. There was an agreement with the gallery which is :
Under the arrangement, a New York City art dealer would sell the paintings, which the dealer has said he is pricing at between $75,000 and $500,000, while keeping secret all information about the sales, according to a person familiar with the plan.
The gallerist, Georges Bergès, has agreed to not share any information about the buyers or prices of Hunter Biden’s work with anyone. Mr. Bergès has also agreed to reject any offer that appears suspicious, such as one well beyond the asking price, the person familiar with the matter said.

Funny that there are complaints about this when the same ones upset did not complain that about 200 companies ate at a Trump hotel because it would please Trump.
I think this piece is interesting:

His art isn‘t selling at anywhere near what great master go for at auction. Art is subjective and so is its value. I think 90% of what is displayed in modern art museums is garbage yet many of the pieces are valued in the 6 and 7 figures. Why is the assumption that no one could reasonably find value in Hunter’s art?

Well, this piece of art by a guy named Cattelan sold for $120,000. That's right. $120,000.

I think this one by Hunter Biden is more worthy of a price like that:

or this one:

I just don't see a banana taped to a wall as art, certainly not a piece worth $120,000.

Oh, so you want Joe Biden to know who bought the paintings. I guess the Bidens shouldn't have bothered to do anything, despite his opponents calling for them to do something.
