ZECH 2:10-4:7


The prophet Zechariah speaks saying: “And many goyim(Gentiles) shall be joined to YHVH in that day, and they shall become MY PEOPLE” (vs 11) But wait a minute, isn’t Israel the people of YHVH? Yes, they will NEVER cease to be, but also, the Gentiles will be “joined with” Israel, and together, AM ECHAD! (One People).

The Torah was given first to the Israelites who left Egypt. At Mt. Sinai, they received the "Marriage Covenant" (The Tablets of the Commandments) and God became the husband and Israel the bride. But we need to remember that a "mixed multitude was included with the 2 to 3 million people. Egyptians, Nubians, Ethiopians, (some of them were also slaves). They were accepted as part of the people.

In Galatians 3:28 The Apostle Paul states that there is "no difference between Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female, all are ONE in Yeshua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) Not that there is no "physical or cultural difference" he is talking about our spiritual relationship with the LORD.
God does not see a "difference" and will never discriminate, yet will accept ALL as the same when it comes to a salvation experience. That is important and good news for those who think they are "less than" others in importance.

There was a High Priest named Yehoshua, and Zechariah the Prophet describes him as wearing filthy garments, YET, his garments are changed to costly robes, and his GUILT has been removed. Is there a connection between the names “Yehoshua” and “Yeshua”? Yes, they are one and the SAME. Yeshua has removed our GUILT of sin, through his sacrifice on Calvary’s cross. Our filthy garments are now sparkling white. Yes, we still have the stain of original sin, the "Yetzer Hara" in Hebrew, yet in the eyes of God, he sees "clean and white garments" on us all, through the sacrifice of Yeshua.

The stone with seven eyes, what could that be or symbolize? We could say that the Stone is YESHUA the solid ROCK, who is perfect, (illustrated by the number 7) and through His sacrifice of death on the cross, the sin and guilt of the land were removed on that same day! The land can also symbolize the people of that land. The seven eyes can also symbolize the ever-seeing eyes of God, who sees all. Could we say in "7 directions and/or 7 dimensions? Up, Down, North, South, East, West, and Inside of us all.

LUKE 15:1-16:31

Yeshua teaches the Prushim (Pharisees) an important lesson. They were criticizing him for receiving tax collectors, and other “sinners” probably the ones rejected by the religious leaders and listened to Yeshua.

Many came to accept His forgiveness and love. Yes, there is great joy in Heaven when one lost soul comes to accept Yeshua as Messiah and LORD. We ALL need to continue to listen to HIM. It does not stop at accepting Yeshua as LORD, it is only the beginning. We need to grow in faith, and continue to “listen” to Him through His Word and the Holy Spirit. When we mature in faith, we also gain spiritual gifts.

What do we do with them? Do we use them to the glory of God? Or do we ignore them, and let them waste away? What do we do with the possessions that YHVH gives us? Do we use them wisely? Do we use money wisely? Is it really ours? Or is it HIS? Yes, the passage says; “you can not serve two masters” We can only serve one, yet many serve the “money master” We can have it all on this earth, and have very little or nothing in heaven, or…have a little bit on this earth, and have riches in heaven. We need to look at the BIG picture.

Pastor John Amanchukwu accused Saddleback Church founder Rick Warren of encouraging Evangelicals to unite with the Roman Catholic Church, an act he described as “spiritual treason.”

“Once again, Rick Warren is doing what he does best: he’s compromising on the Scripture’s truth and the Gospel,” Amanchukwu said during a Monday post on YouTube titled “Rick Warren’s Dangerous Alliance with Rome — Unity Without Truth.”

Amanchukwu is a preacher and author of the 2022 book Eraced: Uncovering the Lies of Critical Race Theory and Abortion.

Warren drew attention earlier this month for speaking at Global 2033, a Roman Catholic evangelism event in Rome. During an interview with the Catholic network EWTN at the time, Warren said “no single denomination can complete the Great Commission on their own.”

So, first a disclaimer. I do love Israel, out of them came our savior, and because God supports them, I do too.

But God did not choose Israel because they're such wonderful obedient people. In fact, history has shown quite the opposite. Throughout the Old Testament there's the pattern of Israel doubting God, striving against God (in fact, Israel's very name means "one who strives against God" because Jacob wrestled with God in Genesis). God repeatedly chastised them and even cursed them, put them in captivity, released them, they killed His Son, He scattered them, then gathered them back. He repeatedly refers to them as a stiff necked people (Exodus 32-34, Deuteronomy 9, etc), stubborn and rebellious. Yes, Abraham was justified by having faith in God in the first place and that faith was counted for righteousness, and was obedient even to the point of being willing to sacrifice his miraculously born son Isaac.

But that one example, followed by a deliberately stiffnecked, willful, and rebellious people.

Is it possible that God did not choose them because they're such wonderful people but because they represent what can be the worst of us as people, to magnify His grace by showing He can do something wonderful with the worst rebels?

I got on this line of thinking after hearing a Jewish man talk about eschatology in a podcast. Where, if a prophecy from God is good... then it's for sure going to happen, but if it's bad, well then, that's something they have to bargain with God about. I was kinda gobstopped. This idea that God pronounces judgement and a Jew's response is.. strive against God, bargain with Him, try to change His mind.

To me that just seems nonsensical, it's the Lord right? We can't bargain with the Lord and change His mind!

But then he went on to explain. Noah, represents the Gentiles, God said there's judgement, build an ark, and Noah built the ark and did what the Lord said, everyone but 8 people perished. God said He would destroy Sodom.... and Abraham bargained with God. There it was from the beginning of the Hebrews, Abraham striving against God, trying to change God's mind... God actually kinda acquiesced to it, but never found the 10 righteous people in Sodom to prevent its destruction.

Peter also is an example of this. When Jesus explains He'll be killed in Matthew 16, Peter tries to rebuke Jesus. This is just after Peter had confessed the Jesus is the Son of God! So Peter... knowingly tried to rebuke and bargain with God! Peter was not only given grace for that, but even had leadership among the apostles!

It's really rather astounding that God has responded to people trying to bargain with Him with just.. more grace, and even favor.

Of course then there's Jonah who was definitely worse for wear trying to defy God.. but .. Jonah's still a prophet, still cited by Jesus as such.

so what do you think? Why did God choose stiffnecked, rebellious people who try to rebuke Him and bargain with Him?

Asking for prayer for healing. I have a lot of health conditions that slow me down- my acid reflux damaged my esophagus, makes it hard to keep on weight, and damaged my vocal cords. With my vocal cords damaged, I'm lucky if I can finish a single worship song without pain. As well, I suffer from carpal tunnel and repetitive strain injury and it makes it hard to do things like clean the house and volunteer. Asking for healing all over so I can get a life back and do more for Jesus. Thanks!

According to the Louisa County Sheriff's Office, reports of child abuse and endangerment were made at the Shekinah Glory Camp of the Kingdom Ministry of Rehabilitation and Recreation. The sheriff's office says, in collaboration with the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation and Columbus Junction Police Department, 88 children were taken into protective custody.

In short:
Landers, seeing that immigrants were called to hearings, learning the cases against them were
dismissed, were then apprehended by ICE agents on the way out the door, ready to deport them without due process.

As many churches encourage volunteers to do, Landers would accompany frightened immigrants, walking out arm and arm with them to protect them.

ICE noticed his presence and decided they would show them what happens to American citizens who prevent unconstitutional deportations from occurring.

Fortunately, Gov. Kathy Hochul got the charges dropped.

Horrific.

Imagine telling a poor girl who had been raped that the resulting pregnancy was "the child of her sin". Lord have mercy.

A man has appeared in court accused of the sexual assault and murder of a 13-month-old baby boy he was adopting.

Teacher Jamie Varley is also accused of multiple counts of assault, cruelty and indecent images all relating to the baby, Preston Davey.

The 36-year-old was in the process of adopting Preston along with co-accused John McGowan-Fazakerley, 31, who also appeared in court.

Varley spoke only to confirm his identity during the brief, five-minute hearing at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Up to 200 Christians were massacred by Islamic extremists in Nigeria's troubled Benue state last Friday evening, according to a Catholic charity reporting that it's the “single worst atrocity” in a region that has become known for communal attacks.

The militants attacked families displaced by radicalized Fulani herdsman who were housed in buildings repurposed as temporary accommodations in the market square of Yelewata in the Guma Local Government Area, shouting “Allahu Akhbar,” according to a Monday report from Aid to the Church in Need.

Buildings were torched as people were sleeping, and anyone who tried to flee was attacked with machetes. Local pastors told the charity that police had earlier repelled attackers who tried to swarm St. Joseph’s Church, a facility housing over 700 internally displaced persons.

This is the danger of Trump. He will just out and out lie to justify his off the cuff decisions. Remember the last time a President lied to justify military action? Yes, the Iraq war. Now even though intel within his own administration is stating Iran has no nukes, nor are they moving forward with nukes; he just ignores them and threatens to bomb Iran for having something nobody is saying they have. But unlike with Bush, with Trump his own intel are not out lying to justify military action (yet). He's dangerous and lies without regard to ramifications. Recall his intel agencies, all of them, said MS13 is not part of the Venezuelan government. He just ignores them and lies otherwise. He is just narcissistic dangerous.

This is really sick. They wish to intimidate the officers. You can bet it is the same people who doxxed law enforcement officers before, who don't worry about putting the officers and their families in danger.

Just read in Job 17:9,
"The righteous also shall hold on his way, and he that hath clean hands shall be stronger and stronger."
Now Psalm 37:3-7 speaks to this also,
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass."

This involves a continuing, a PRESSING and CONTINUING, as I'm reading John Bunyans "The Heavenly Footman" where he writes of running the race that you may obtain:

"Pressing. This running in another place is called a pressing. "I press toward the mark;" (Phi. 3:14) which signifieth that they that will have heaven, must not stick at any difficulties they meet with; but press, crowd, and thrust through all, that may stand between heaven and their souls. So run.
3. Continuing. This running is called in another place, a continuing in the way of life. "If ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel." Not to run a little now and then, by fits and starts; or half-way; or almost thither; but to run for my life, to run through all difficulties, and to continue therein to the end of the race, which must be to the end of my life. "So run, that ye may obtain." (Pg. 17)

So trusting goes along with running, pressing, and continuing: for as Job speaks also of HOLDING on your way, and that those with clean hands (that is, purity of life) shall be stronger and stronger.

Support for policies allowing trans-identified athletes to play on sports teams that align with their stated gender identity as opposed to their biological sex continues to decline, as survey data shows nearly seven in 10 Americans oppose such rules.

Gallup released the results of a survey documenting Americans' views on LGBT issues on Tuesday. The data included in the poll is based on responses collected from 1,003 American adults from May 1 to 18. The survey has a margin of error of +/- 4 percentage points.

When asked if they thought that "transgender athletes should only be allowed to play on teams that match their birth gender," 69% of Americans answered in the affirmative. The overwhelming majority of Republicans (90%), as well as a majority of independents (72%) and a significant share of Democrats (41%), agreed with this view.

Son says only a 'miracle' can save the influential preacher who has broadcasted longer than any other American evangelist​

The family of prominent televangelist the Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, 90, said he remains hospitalized in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest.

During a Sunday service, Swaggart's son, the Rev. Donnie Swaggart, asked the congregation to keep his father in their prayers, saying that only a "miracle" could extend his father’s life.

"On this Father’s Day, we urgently ask you to pray for Brother Swaggart. He needs a miracle from heaven right now, this morning. We must have the Lord intervene in this situation, and we need your prayers," Donnie Swaggart wrote in a post on his father's Facebook page.

"He's my rock and my hero and he needs the Lord's healing power today. If I am able to get away, I will try to be at the service to give everyone an update," Donnie Swaggart wrote in another post.

It's a 40 minute video but it's so informative.

Two history YouTubers; Milo 'Miniminuteman' Rossi, an environmental scientist, archaeologist, and science educator, and Lindsay Nikole, a zoologist, go behind the scenes at the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, seeing how the site treats the fossils recovered from the crude oil from the tar pits, how they're stored, along with a brief showing of the near three MILLION fossils recovered from the site during its over century long history of excavation at the site, which includes the likes of Columbian mammoths, dire-wolves, short-faced bears, giant ground sloths, sabre-toothed cats, ancient horses and bison, and a lot more.

Now, I know not a whole lot about how fossils are formed in the La Brea Tar pits, but the way they form in the tar and asphalt is so different to just regular fossilization wherein the bones turn to stone, because these are as close to actual bones as people can get. There's still protein in the bones! And it's not just the bones themselves that are of scientific interest, but the asphalt that the bones are found in are of interest as well, as we see in the video where, once a bone is denuded of the asphaltic matrix, the matrix is kept and then basically gone through with a fine tooth comb to find stuff within like insects, shell, flora and even just sand itself, so as to better investigate the conditions of prehistoric Los Angeles.

He will deliver us – those who keep the faith and trust the Lord. Psalms 72:12-14

shade from the heat – the strike on earth of a superheated Coronal Mass Ejection. Isaiah 30:26, Isaiah 43:2, Isaiah 31:5, Isaiah 60:2, Zephaniah 2:3, Psalm 61:1-5

on that day – The Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath, the next prophesied event. His enemies are punished, but His faithful Christian believers will be protected and will soon move into the holy Land, to fulfil their destiny.

Many years ago my mother awoke at 4 am only to find her auntie Jane standing next to her bed saying that she loved her and was now on her way , she then disappeared.

My mother thought it was a dream untill she later that day received a phone call letting her know that auntie Jane had died in hospital at around 3 am.

And I'm sure some of you may have a story or two to tell as well , so what do we think guys , what do we think is happening here ?

When I read this passage of Scripture today, what immediately came to mind is the judgments of God on this world and on our individual nations, and on the adulterous and idolatrous church of these last days.

For if you read the Scriptures, any of which describe the events of these last days before the return of Christ, but especially in the book of Revelation, you will see that there were warnings given to the idolatrous, adulterous, and/or complacent and worldly church, with regard to God’s judgments and of their need to repent of their wickedness and to obey God with their lives. And this is much like what was taking place when the people of Israel wandered in the wilderness for 40 years and the majority of them did not enter into God’s eternal rest because of their disobedience, which God called unbelief.

There is a time of tribulation now upon us, or soon to be upon us, for the purpose to humble the hearts of those who dwell in darkness (live in sin), who are in slavery (addition) to sin, who have rebelled against God, and against his teachings, and who have spurned the counsel of the Most High God. And many of them are those who profess faith in Jesus Christ with their lips, and who give service to the institutional market-driven “churches” (businesses) which are in an unholy union (partnership) agreement with the ungodly via being incorporated (merged) with the state (the world).

We need these judgments of God to bring people to genuine faith in Jesus Christ and to bring back the wanderers who have drifted away from their walks of faith and obedience to our Lord in order to go after the ways of the flesh and of the world. For there is a darkness that is hovering over this world which is blinding the eyes of so many people who are following after the lies, and who are rejecting the truth. For so many who call themselves Christians either have never truly believed in Christ or they are those who have drifted from their faith walks to merge with the ungodly of the world.

For so many who call themselves “Christians,” at least here in the USA, are accepting a very diluted and altered character of God/Christ, and of his church (the body of Christ), and of his gospel message, much of which does not teach death to sin and walks of obedience to God as required of God for them to be of genuine biblical faith in Christ as their Lord. And so “the church” has largely become complacent, worldly, and apathetic to God’s commandments and to his requirements of those who profess the name of Jesus. So it is largely indistinguishable between the church and the world.

And so something has to happen to turn them around and to bring them to or back to biblical God-gifted and God-persuaded and God-honoring faith in Jesus Christ which dies with Christ to sin and now lives to God and to his righteousness in walks of obedience to our Lord’s commands, and no longer as slaves (addicts) to sin. For a great deception has swept over my nation and over much of the world, if not all of the world, whereby few people, it seems, are committed to following Jesus Christ with their lives in absolute and total surrender to the will of God for their lives, in death to sin.

And I believe that it is going to take the judgments of God, and many hardships and trials and tribulations, to bring the rebellious and the complacent and the worldly to their knees in humble surrender of their lives now to the will of God. And the book of Revelation does talk about people believing in Jesus during the time of tribulation and of people making themselves ready spiritually for Christ’s return, so I do believe that, during this time of judgment, that there will be people who repent of their sins and who follow Jesus in obedience to his commands, until their very last breath.

And, although I hate that it has to come to this, for I know these are going to be horrible times of much suffering, if this is what it takes to bring people to genuine repentance (death to sin) and walks of faithful obedience to the Lord, in preparation for his return, then I pray that God will do what is necessary to bring them out of darkness and to break their bonds of sin apart and to free them from their addiction to sin so that they will now serve God in obedience to his commands with whatever time they have left on this earth. And it seems as though this time is fast approaching us, too.

You know how people say that Rod Dreher has an uncanny knack for anticipating the next thing coming? You might also know that some people say I’m too into the woo, that I am too eager to believe that weird and implausible things might be weird?

Take this passage from Living In Wonder:
