Rev. Jimmy Swaggart taken to hospital in critical condition

Rev. Jimmy Swaggart taken to hospital in critical condition

BATON ROUGE, La. (WGMB) – The Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, 90, is in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest on Sunday, June 15, according to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries.

Family members said Swaggart, a prominent televangelist, was found around 8 a.m. at his home and was revived before being taken to the hospital.

Pastor Donnie Swaggart provided details about what happened to his father during a prayer service on Sunday night, explaining that he and his son Gabriel Swaggart had rushed to his father’s home that morning.

“He never regained consciousness,” Donnie Swaggart said. “We both took turns giving him chest compressions until EMT could get there. I’ve never seen so many people arrive at one time, and I want to thank them. They were able to get a heartbeat back. Right now, he is in ICU, and without a miracle, his time will be short. But we believe God — we’re not giving up.”

Swaggart remains in the ICU on Monday.

Swaggart is the leader of the SonLife Broadcasting Network and also the pastor of Family Worship Center.

The under-the-radar growth of Catholic commitment

“It’s happening again this year. It happens every year.”

That’s how I opened a post that appeared in this space two years ago. Sure enough, it’s happening this year too.

It begins right after Ash Wednesday, when we begin to notice some new faces in the congregation at the little chapel where we attend the early-morning Mass on weekdays. Many of the same faces show up throughout Lent, and when Easter arrives, more than a few continue to come to daily Mass. So bit by bit, the congregation grows.

When we first began attending Mass daily at this chapel, we could expect maybe a dozen people, on average, at the early Mass. Now the congregation usually numbers over 20, and empty pews are hard to find.

Yes, I know; these are tiny numbers, in just one little rural town. But as I observed in another piece on the same topic, posted here threeyears ago:

It’s been nearly 40 years now since I made the commitment to try to get to Mass every day. We’ve moved a few times since then, and my job schedule has changed several times, so that over the years I’ve been “one of the regulars” in eight different churches or chapels. At every stop along the way, I’ve seen a steady increase in the number of people at daily Mass.
We all know the statistics about the decline in Sunday Mass attendance: the steady downward spiral, stretching out for decades, in most of the Western world. But if my experience is not atypical, there is another trend, less often noticed: a steady increase in the number of Catholics making a special effort to attend Mass daily.

Clarification

A recent news article over shootings in MN boldly proclaimed that the shooter was deeply religious, in this case supposed Christian. The question is... should Christians stand up and announce such thinking and behaviour is definitely un-Christian, or should we lamely defend it and further decrease people's opinions of Christianity, perhaps deservedly so. Jesus, not Christianity, said to stay under the radar, do no harm, love even enemies as self. Should we allow His words to be forgotten in favour of political Christianity, a false offshoot?

Should doctors be able to withold treatment for political affiliation or marital status?

‘Extremely disturbing and unethical’: new rules allow VA doctors to refuse to treat Democrats, unmarried veterans

Doctors at Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals nationwide could refuse to treat unmarried veterans and Democrats under new hospital guidelines imposed following an executive order by Donald Trump.

The new rules, obtained by the Guardian, also apply to psychologists, dentists and a host of other occupations. They have already gone into effect in at least some VA medical centers.

Medical staff are still required to treat veterans regardless of race, color, religion and sex, and all veterans remain entitled to treatment. But individual workers are now free to decline to care for patients based on personal characteristics not explicitly prohibited by federal law.

Language requiring healthcare professionals to care for veterans regardless of their politics and marital status has been explicitly eliminated.

Anyone care to explain how it could be a good thing for healthcare professionals to refuse to care for anyone?

Is Trump the new Lyssenko?

A little history lesson. In the former Soviet Union a biologist named Trofim Lyssenko challenged Darwin's theory of evolution. Joseph Stalin somehow labelled darwinism as "capitalist science" and all soviet science centers had to adopt Lyssenko's theories. Soviet agriculture was based on lyssenko's ideas, with disastrous results.

Trump has issued an executive order named: "Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government".
In the EO we can read "It is the policy of the United States to recognize two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality.". The USA has now a state imposed "biological truth". Just like Stalin and Lyssenko imposed a single view on biology, Trump imposes also a "biological truth".

IS that what you guys want - science dictate by the government?

edit for those who are confused, I equated Trump with Lyssenko. To equate him with Stalin seemed me a few bridges too far.

I don't fit well anywhere

I think we need to

Tighten borders but create a better path to citizenship for people who have been here working. Breaking families apart is barbaric.

Allow Civil union as a civil right but leave Marriage to churches as sacrament or church recognized union.

Better care for the environment. We have already seen that industry cannot hold themselves responsible. It took the Clean Water Act (1972) and Clean Air Act (1963) to turn things around.

And we certainly need financial regulation.

We in the United States need to once again become Leaders in foreign aid and compassion here at home with effective programs to assist the poor and vulnerable in need of a safety net. Medicaid, SNAP, and other programs help low-income people,

Abortion: This is my major bone to pick with the Democrats. Life in the womb is human life most vulnerable and we need to acknowledge and respect that life as much as the rights of women. But we also need to create a society in which women no longer feel the need for abortion. That means healthcare and support for young mothers and their children

The Gospel in Salzburg

Shalom

This weekend, evangelistic meetings are taking place here in Salzburg, Austria.

In addition, the brothers and sisters here regularly hold book tables and distribute evangelistic literature.

We ask for your support in prayer in Jesus' name.

May God continue to draw the people we have already reached to Himself in Jesus' name, Amen (John 6:44).

Thank you for your prayers!

May the Lord bless you abundantly (Luke 6:38; Job 42:10) and may He bless Israel in Jesus' name, Amen!

Soli Deo Gloria

PS And I pray that the Lord will send out harvesters into His harvest (Matthew 9:38).

Boy George Suffers Public Beatdown – J.K. Rowling On X

J.K. Rowling
@jk_rowling

There are many differences between us, George, but some are particularly relevant to this debate. 1. You're a man and I'm a woman. 2. You've been wealthy and famous since your early 20s. I didn't become well known until I was well over 30. 3. I've never been given 15 months for handcuffing a man to a wall and beating him with a chain. 4. I believe in freedom of speech and belief. For more than half my life I was a regular anonymous person. Some of those years were spent in poverty. That's why I understand the importance of single-sex spaces for women who're reliant on state-funded services. That's why I understand why mixed public changing rooms are a problem for women. That's why I have a problem with men 'identifying' into women's rape crisis centres, domestic abuse and homeless shelters that are supposed to be single-sex. I don't stand against gender identity ideology because I personally still need those services, but because my life has taught me exactly how vulnerable women are when they don't have the money/influence I have now. You yourself have been convicted of violent assault. The overwhelming number of people who commit crimes of violence are male, just like you. That's why I don't want to see men identifying into women's prison cells or any of the spaces mentioned above. Not all men are violent or predatory, but enough are to make safeguarding necessary. Lastly, I'm a writer who believes in freedom of speech and belief. As we both know, the safe, fashionable thing in the arts world right now is to do exactly what you're doing: parrot TWAW and sneer at the unenlightened plebs who think sex is important and matters. For a man who was once all about non-conformity, George, you couldn't have become more predictably or more tediously conformist.

Texas school district backtracks, will let student share Bible verses during non-instructional time

A Texas school district has reversed its decision to prohibit a fifth-grade student with special needs from sharing Bible verses with her classmates.

The case began last month in the Killeen Independent School District, in Killeen, located about 50 miles north of Austin, when the girl started sharing Bible verses printed on small, fortune cookie-sized slips of paper during recess, lunch and after school.

Attorneys with the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ) say the girl’s principal and teacher confiscated the girl’s Bible verses after first allowing her to distribute them.

The Harlot is a Deep Pit

“Give me your heart, my son,
And let your eyes delight in my ways.
For a harlot is a deep pit
And an adulterous woman is a narrow well.
Surely she lurks as a robber,
And increases the faithless among men.” (Proverbs 23:26-28 NASB1995)

So many people today who have professed faith in Jesus Christ, and who purportedly have parted from their sins, and who have apparently been joined together with Christ in a holy union, never really parted from their sins. And so they didn’t really unite with Jesus Christ but with a false Christ of a false faith which is also united with the world and with the ungodly in an unholy union which they call “church.” And these all harmonize together in these gatherings of what is called “the church,” but which are not of God.

They go through the motions of religious practice, and they sing their songs, and they listen to their preacher’s sermons, but they have not truly divorced themselves from their sin nor from the world, but they are united with both, all three singing in harmony with one another. So, even though they profess faith in Jesus Christ, and they religiously attend these “church” services, their lives are not much different at all from those who have never made a profession of faith in Jesus Christ, for they all do the same kinds of things.

Now the true church, the body of Christ, still exists, but they appear to be in the minority, at least here in the USA. And the true church, which is of God, is not in harmony with the world and with sinful and immoral practices, for they are all those who have died with Christ to sin and who have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but as slaves to God and to his righteousness. This does not make them perfect, but they who are of the truth are not married anymore to their sins.

So, “the harlot,” in this scenario, is really the false “church” which is a creation of man, which is united in marriage to the government and to the world, incorporated (combined, merged, united) under the state (the world and the government and the ungodly), which is forbidden by God. And so they have turned “the church” into a marketplace, a place of business, which is also forbidden by God. And they have largely forsaken the right way to follow after the ways of the world, to attract the world to their gatherings.

[Matthew 21:12-13; John 2:13-17; Acts 5:27-32; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 2-3; Revelation 13:5-8; Revelation 18:1-5]

And since they are businesses of human flesh, being marketed to the people of the world, they have given way to many of the ways of the world to draw in large crowds of people from the world into their gatherings. And so many of them have now diluted and altered the character of God/Christ, and of his church (the body of Christ), and of his gospel message to make them more palatable and less offensive to the ungodly of the world. And the ungodly are all who are still living in sin who do not obey God, in practice, in lifestyle.

Thus, many professing Christians today are being taught that they don’t have to die to their sins and that they don’t have to obey God, for their teachers have perverted the grace of God into a license for lasciviousness, or sensuality, or immorality, and they deny Jesus Christ as our only Lord and Master (see Jude 1:4). And the result is that we have a very large number of “church goers” who are living in immorality, who are engaged regularly in what is adulterous, faithless, and sensual, while they claim Jesus as Lord.

But the Scriptures teach that if we want to have salvation from sin, and the hope of eternal life with God, we must, by God-persuaded faith in the Lord, die with him to sin, and now walk in obedience to his commands, in practice, by the grace of God, in the power of God. For if sin is still what we practice, and not righteousness and holiness and godly living, in obedience to our Lord, then we don’t know God, we are not born of God, we are not in fellowship with Christ, and we will not inherit eternal life with God.

[Matthew 7:13-14,21-23; Luke 9:23-26; John 1:12-13; John 6:44; John 10:27-30; Acts 26:18; Romans 2:6-8; Romans 6:1-23; Romans 8:1-14; 1 Corinthians 10:1-22; Galatians 5:16-24; Ephesians 2:8-10; Ephesians 4:17-32; Ephesians 5:3-6; Titus 2:11-14; Hebrews 3:1-19; Hebrews 4:1-13; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 John 1:5-10; 1 John 2:3-6; 1 John 3:4-10]

So, please know that the church is the people of God who are in fellowship with Christ by faith in the Lord Jesus via dying with Christ to sin and now living to God and to his righteousness, in obedience to his commands. This doesn’t make us perfect, or mean that we will never fail, but that obedience to God and holy living are what we practice, and not sin. And God is calling his church to come out from all unholy unions with those who are ungodly, immoral, and of the world, who are teaching lies and not the truth.

[Matthew 21:12-13; John 2:13-17; Acts 5:27-32; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; Philippians 3:18-19; Revelation 2-3; Revelation 13:5-8; Revelation 18:1-5]

Oh, to Be Like Thee, Blessed Redeemer

Lyrics by Thomas O. Chisholm, 1897
Music by W. J. Kirkpatrick, 1897

Oh, to be like Thee! blessèd Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh, to be like Thee! full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wandering sinner to find.

O to be like Thee! lowly in spirit,
Holy and harmless, patient and brave;
Meekly enduring cruel reproaches,
Willing to suffer others to save.

O to be like Thee! while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love;
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh, to be like Thee! Oh, to be like Thee,
Blessèd Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

His Heart is Not with You

“When you sit down to dine with a ruler,
Consider carefully what is before you,
And put a knife to your throat
If you are a man of great appetite.
Do not desire his delicacies,
For it is deceptive food.”
“Do not eat the bread of a selfish man,
Or desire his delicacies;
For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
He says to you, “Eat and drink!”
But his heart is not with you.
You will vomit up the morsel you have eaten,
And waste your compliments.” (Proverbs 23:1-3,6-8 NASB1995)

From a spiritual perspective, the lesson to be learned here is great! We must be very discerning and guarded in our hearts and minds with regard to what we take into our minds and hearts. For much is being presented to us daily by people who are in positions of power, rule, and tremendous influence. Especially this is true in this generation when we are being fed moment by moment “food for thought” by the media 24 hours a day, around the clock.

Please, for your own sake, do not align yourselves with a particular political party and then take in everything they say as though it is gospel truth, and then just regurgitate what they are spreading to others as though you have direct and personal knowledge that what they are feeding you is the absolute truth and not tainted in any way, shape, or form. For liars and deceivers abound everywhere you look these days. Truth is very hard to find.

And please be aware that anything can be altered, faked, photoshopped and AI generated these days. So, although it may look real, the whole thing could be fake. So, just because you read it, hear it, and see it, don’t just accept it as truth. Deception abounds in this generation! It is huge!! And please know that if they have our images and our voices, that they could most likely produce any kind of fake photo and/or video or recording of us.

So, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, pray to have spiritual discernment. When you read, hear, and/or see something, take it to the Lord in prayer, and inquire of the Lord as to its truthfulness or as to its deceptiveness. Even in your study of the Scriptures, be diligent to read Scriptures in their full and appropriate context, and compare Scripture with Scripture to make certain that you are getting the correct understanding of what you are reading.

But please, do not be quick to believe people just because they are of a particular political party, or of a particular “church” denomination, and/or because they are popular and well liked, and/or because they are charming and interesting and funny and well-read, and/or because they are Doctor so and so, or Reverend so and so, etc. Pray for discernment, and then don’t be feeding your minds with the garbage of the world, but with the Word of God.

For what these Scripture verses describe say a lot about many people in positions of prominence, influence, rule, and authority in our world and in our nations today. Many of our leaders, both in the government and in “the church” are liars, deceivers, charmers, manipulators, tricksters, selfish, and self-centered egomaniacs who are charming and winsome on the outside, but whose hearts are not with us, but against us, if truth be told.

And one day, perhaps one day soon, this is all going to come out into the open and it will be evident what these people are really made of.

But there is also a time, which could already be here, when there will be many righteous people who will be framed and falsely accused of wrongs they did not commit, so, again, we must pray for much discernment. Pray to God to know what is true and what is false. But if we have trusted in the wrong people, and then the truth comes out, which will be evidenced by their obvious actions, then we will regret that we put our trust in them.

Testing the spirits: [Matthew 7:15-23; Matthew 24:11-24; Luke 6:26; John 10:1-15; Romans 16:17-19; 2 Corinthians 11:3,13-15; Ephesians 4:11-16; Philippians 3:2; 2 Peter 2:1-22; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-22; 1 Timothy 1:3-7; 1 Timothy 6:3-10; 2 Timothy 3:1-9; 1 John 4:1-6; Jude 1:1-25]

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.

He that overcomes shall inherit all things....

Peace in Christ.

We manifest/shine the life of Jesus NOW in this mortal body by keeping the “daily sacrifice” of the Lamb…always bearing about in the mortal body the dying of the Lord Jesus so that His life be made manifest there. The 144,000 stand with the Lamb as they keep His daily sacrifice and manifest His life towards the outside world.

This is the revealing of the “Son of man” to the world as the people of the outside world shall then see His glory shining through us.

2Co 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear….that is, SHINE or manifest, then we shall also “appear”…shine/manifest…with Him in glory. We do not “die and go to Heaven” for this as this is a here-and-now thing in our mortal bodies.

Col 3:4 KJV
(4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear (manifest or SHINE), then shall ye also appear (SHINE) with him in glory.

He comes to be glorified in His saints (the 144,000 who first HEAR and believe His Word of Truth).

He then is to be admired/marveled by “them” ( the “great multitude” of the outside people of this world who will SEE His shining glory in us and will believe in Him)

2Th 1:10 KJV
(10) When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

We….the firstfruits of Christ….the 144,000…have this treasure in our “earthen vessels” that the excellency of the power may be of God and does not originate from us. We do not mortally die as we shall keep our "earthen vessels" that are "alive and remain" here.

2Co 4:6-7 KJV
(6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

(7) But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

Of His will does He beget us (Christ the firstfruits….the 144,000) with the Word of Truth (that we HEAR and believe) to that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His "creatures" (the following believers of the world…the “great multitude”..who will then SEE His manifest glory in us)

Jas 1:18-20 KJV
(18) Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

We…His firstfruits…are to HEAR His Word of Truth and be slow to speak and slow to wrath towards what we hear.

(19) Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
(20) For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Every man in his own order (arrangement) shall be made alive….Christ the firstfruits (the 144,000) and then those (the "great multitude) who are Christ’s at His PRESENCE (Greek: Parousia – presence). The “great multitude” shall be Christ's at His manifest presence that happens through our mortal bodies…the earthen vessel. This "great multitude" is the "cloud" of witnesses of His glory that the Son of man comes upon.

Christ the firstfruits first hears and believes in the Word of Truth and will be the ones to manifest His glory towards the “great multitude” who will the SEE His manifest/shining glory in us and then will believe in Christ.

They…the great multitude….are Christ’s at His PRESENCE that takes place in our mortal bodies of which they see.

1Co 15:22-26 KJV
(22) For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

(23) But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming (PRESENCE).

Notice how this all takes place BEFORE the end of this age.

THEN comes the end after He has put down all rule and all authority and power. All of this subduing of all things in this world takes place BEFORE the end comes as well as being made alive.

(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

(25) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

At the very end of this age, the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

(26) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

We….the 144,000…..shall not die mortally. We participate in the “first resurrection” as we remain here in this "earthen vessel" in this earth alive until the last moment of this age. We shall have an age-lasting life…aka “eternal life.”

We shall not “sleep” in mortal death for we shall inherit an AGE-LASTING life now in this mortal body which shall not perish. There is no intermission from this earth by perishing (mortal death). We remain here alive until the very end of this age. Hence. an "age-lasting life"

We keep living until the very end of this age where then our mortal bodies shall be “changed” from mortal to immortal. The phrase “This mortal must put on immortality” pertains to us the 144,000 only…and also pertains to the following “great multitude” who will also not perish in their mortal bodies for God so loved the world that He gives His Son to them through us....the manifesting of the Son of man towards them (the people of the outside world) who will believe. .

We are kept standing in this earth (participating in the First Resurrection) until the “twinkling of the eye moment” that happens at the very end of this age. We (the 144,000) take part in the subduing of all things unto Christ for the rest of this age until then. We show forth/shine His glory unto the outside world now in this age.

1Co 15:51-54 KJV
(51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

The Christians before us who did not hear the Word of Truth (because of listening to false prophets that led them to the destruction of their mortal bodies) shall then be raised unperishable. They had perished in their mortal bodies from this earth.

The phrase “this corruptible shall be raised incorruptible” pertains only to those Christians who perished in their mortal bodies as they did not hear the Word of Truth.

They had perished mortally because they did not hear the truth of the gospel. They were in ignorance of the Word of Truth. God will then give them a body as He determines. They will have missed out from participating in manifesting His glory to the outside world. They will have missed out in subduing all things unto Christ in this earth. They had suffered loss but are themselves saved.

The "dead" who had perished shall be raised unperishable and WE (the 144,000 who will not mortally die) shall then be "changed" from mortal into immortal....completely circumventing our mortal deaths in Christ who gives us such a great victory over death as we shall never have experienced mortal death like those who had perished before us. We shall then receive the redemption of our mortal bodies at that coming moment where there will never be any possibility of death.

(52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible (the multitude of mortally perished Christians), and we (the 144,000 who never mortally die) shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption
(the multitude of mortally perished Christians) and this mortal must put on immortality (the 144.000 who will never mortally perish).
(54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption (the perished Christians will be raised unperishable), and this mortal shall have put on immortality (the 144,000 who never mortally die will be changed from mortal to immortal), then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

The MUTITUDE of Christians before us had perished mortally…had .fallen “asleep.” They were sown in dishonor…they were sown in weakness…but they will be raised in glory and raised in power AT the last day of this age. They missed out on the things that will happen during the remaining duration of this age. They were the “flock of the slaughter”. They were the “vessels of His wrath.” They suffered loss.

1Co 15:42-43 KJV
(42) So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

(43) It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

But now the 144,000 are the “vessels of His mercy”.

They will HEAR and believe in the Word of Truth. They will inherit “eternal life”…that is, an age-lasting life now in this earth. They will remain standing here in this earth in their earthen vessels as they shall not perish. They will HEAR the Truth and will do well as they will seek for glory and honor and immortality….an AGE-LASTING life in this earthen vessel.

Rom 2:
(7) To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

But those Christians now who will hear and be contentious towards what they will hear Him saying and do not “obey”….that is, will NOT BELIEVE and AFFIRM the Truth (the true sayings of God)…shall suffer the “second death”…the tribulation and anguish upon every soul OF MAN that does evil towards what he or she hears in the Word of Truth.

(8) But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey (DISBELIEVE) the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

(9) Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
(10) But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

This is a now thing in this earthen vessel. There will be no more sacrifice for those who be continuously contentious and do evil towards what they hear Him saying in the Word of Truth.

There will be no mercy until one mortally perishes from this life in the “second death” as punishment for our sins…our evil words and actions towards the hearing of His voice as He opens up the Scriptures to our hearing ears. They will mortally die in their sins...in their evil speaking towards the hearing of the Word of Truth.

This is a scary situation as it is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of our living God (the living Judge) who will punish us with tribulation and anguish of our souls (now in this life) without mercy until we mortally die because we did not believe in what we heard Him saying. There will be no way out of this until our mortal death because of our unbelief of the Word of Truth (that will not conform to what we have been hearing the "word of men" preaching in our church denominations who have no understanding of the Scriptures.)

Rev 21:7-8 KJV
(7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

(8) But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

For if we sin willfully AFTER we have receive the FULL knowledge (epignosis) of the Truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins (contentious evil speaking and deeds towards that knowledge.) We shall die in our sins in the "second death".

Heb 10:26-31 KJV
(26) For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the (FULL) knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

(27) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

We shall die WITHOUT MERCY because of our sins towards the hearing of His full knowledge of the Truth…the Word of Truth. This is truly frightening and that is why we as Christians must be quick to HEAR and SLOW to speak and slow to wrath for the wrath of man (towards the hearing of His Word of Truth) does not work the righteousness of God….which that “work” is to BELIEVE and DO WELL toward what one hears.

(28) He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
(29) Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
(30) For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

(31) It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

but he that OVERCOME shall inherit ALL THINGS….

Rev 21:7-8 KJV

(7) He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

How flexible is God's planning

Although I believe God has a plan for His creation, I believe it flexes with man's choices. The fact is God does not "cause" any man to sin. Sin, specifically fornication can lead to childbirth, and whole generations of change. So God's plan must flex, with the choices of people.

Do we see examples of God's planning flexing? I say yes:

Gen 6:5-7 Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the LORD said, "I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them."

We see in the above scripture, God regretted making man. This shows that God did not plan out in a linear fashion people's destinies. He could only be sorry if there was a "free will" element that He did not control.

We also see that God progressively learned about His creation.

Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years."

We see above that God saw that man did not repent over longer life spans, so He restricted their life to 120 years in length. This shows God did not know the perfect length to begin with, but learned as time went by what was the best length for man to live.

1Sa 13:13-14 And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you. For now the LORD would have established your kingdom over Israel forever. But now your kingdom shall not continue.

We also see above that the LORD "would have" established Saul's kingdom forever, had he not sinned, but sin denied him that opportunity.

So in conclusion, we see God's plan flexes with the choices made by people.

At least 13 Israelis killed, hundreds injured during ballistic missile attacks in deadliest night of the war with Iran

An Iranian ballistic missile struck a 10-story residential building in Bat Yam, just south of Tel Aviv, during a wave of attacks on Israel last night, killing six people, including children.

The missile “shaved off” part of the building in the impact, and seven people are still missing, as authorities search through the rubble.

The missiles that hit Bat Yam were part of the second round of launches from Iran on Saturday night, which triggered sirens throughout central Israel, with falls reported in Bat Yam, Rehovot and Ramat Gan.

Why did early Greek literature use aion as age and not eternal?

This article refutes the idea that aion means eternal, so why do so many modern Christians think it means eternal?

It is a vital question How was the word used in the Greek literature with which the Seventy were familiar, that is, the Greek Classics?

Some years since Rev. Ezra S. Goodwin(13) patiently and candidly traced this word through the Classics, finding the noun frequently in nearly all the writers, but not meeting the adjective until Plato, its inventor, used it. He states, as the result of his protracted and exhaustive examination from the beginning down to Plato, “We have the whole evidence of seven Greek writers, extending through about six centuries, down to the age of Plato, who make use of Aión, in common with other words; and no one of themEVER employs it in the sense of eternity.”

When the Old Testament was translated from Hebrew into Greek by the Seventy, the word aión had been in common use for many centuries. It is preposterous to say that the Seventy would render the Hebrew olam by the Greek aión and give to the latter (1) a different meaning from that of the former, or (2) a different meaning from aión in the current Greek literature. It is self-evident, then, that Aión in the Old Testament means exactly what Olam means, and also what Aión means in the Greek classics. Indefinite duration is the sense of olam, and it is equally clear that aión has a similar signification.

In the Iliad and Odyssey Aión occurs thirteen times, as a noun, besides its occurrence as a participle in the sense of hearing, perceiving, understanding. Homer never uses it as signifying eternal duration. Priam to Hector says,(14) “Thyself shall be deprived of pleasant aiónos” (life.) Andromache over dead Hector,(15) “Husband thou hast perished from aiónos” (life or time.)

Dr. Beecher writes(16) “But there is a case that excludes all possibility of doubt or evasion, in the Homeric Hymn of Mercury, vs. 42 and 119. Here aión is used to denote the marrow as the life of an animal, as Moses calls the blood the life. This is recognized by Cousins in his Homeric Lexicon. In this case to pierce the life (aión) of a turtle means to pierce the spinal cord. The idea of life is here exclusive of time or eternity.” These are fair illustrations of Homer’s use of the word.

Hesiod employs it twice: “To him (the married man) during aiónos (life) evil is constantly striving, etc.(17) Æschulus has the word nineteen times, after this manner: “This life (aión) seems long, etc.(18) “Jupiter, king of the never-ceasing world.”(19) (aiónos apaustau.)

Pindar
gives thirteen instances, such as “A long life produces the four virtues.”(20)(Ela de kai tessaras aretas ho makros aión.)

Sophocles
nine times. “Endeavor to remain the same in mind as long as you live.” Askei toiaute noun di aiónos menein.(21) He also employs makraion five times, as long-enduring. The word long increases the force of aión, which would be impossible if it had the idea of eternity.

Aristotle uses aión twelve times. He speaks of the existence or duration (aión) of the earth;(22) of an unlimited aiónos;(23) and elsewhere, he says: aión sunekes kai aidios, “an eternal aión” (or being) “pertaining to God.” The fact that Aristotle found it necessary to add aidios to aión to ascribe eternity to God demonstrates that he found no sense of eternity in the word aión, and utterly discards the idea that he held the word to mean endless duration, even admitting that he derived it, or supposed the ancients did, from aei ón according to the opinion of some lexicographers.

A similar use of the word appears in de Cælo.(24) “The entire heaven is one and eternal (aidios) having neither beginning nor end of an entire aión.” In the same work(25) occurs the famous passage where Aristotle has been said to describe the derivation of the word, which we have quoted on page 7, Aión estin, apo tou aei einai.

Mr. Goodwin well observes that the word had existed a thousand years before Aristotle’s day, and that he had no knowledge of its origin, and poorer facilities for tracing it than many a scholar of the present, possesses. “While, therefore, we would regard an opinion of Aristotle on the derivation of an ancient word, with the respect due to extensive learning and venerable age, still we must bear in mind that his opinion is not indusputable authority.” Mr. Goodwin proceeds to affirm that Aristotle does not apply aei ón to duration, but to God, and that (as we have shown) a human existence is an Aión. Completeness, whether brief or protracted, is his idea; and as Aristotle employed it “Aión did not contain the meaning of eternity.”

Hippocrates. “A human aión is a seven days matter.”

Empedocles, An earthly body deprived of happy life, (aiónos.)

Euripides uses the word thirty-two times. We quote three instances:(26) “Marriage to those mortals who are well situated is a happy aión.”(27) “Every aión of mortals is unstable.”(28) “Along aión has many things to say,” etc.

Philoctetes. “He breathed out the aióna.” Mr. Goodwin thus concludes his conscientious investigation of such of the Greek classics as he examined line by line, AION IN THESE WRITERS NEVER EXPRESSES POSITIVE ETERNITY.”

In his Physic(29), Aristotle quotes a passage from Empedocles, saying that in certain cases “aión is not permanent.”

He fought porn addiction for 23 years — now he helps other men find freedom

At 8 years old, Minnesota native Joe Masek was exposed to pornography for the first time and went on to struggle with an addiction to it for 23 years. Through a series of actions he finally gained freedom and after experiencing a calling to help other men, he founded a ministry called The Freedom Group in 2023.

About 100 men have gone through the ministry’s program each year since then. The group uses a 12-month training system as well as additional courses and retreats to help men break free from porn addiction.

The Porn Free training system includes weekly coaching calls with a Freedom Coach, group coaching calls, performance and mindset coaching, simple daily habits to build discipline and rhythm, access to an app to connect and track progress, and more. There are also several courses that help individuals understand the neurological aspect of addiction and how to rewire the brain.

Based in the Twin Cities, The Freedom Group also offers individuals the opportunity to attend nature retreats, where they are encouraged to encounter God and themselves in a deeper way. Through guided reflections, group sessions, time alone, and physical adventure, participants learn how to live free from their addiction and become grounded in their true purpose.

Dead to the Law

In Galatians 2:19 Paul states that He is dead to the Law in context to the topic of circumcision and new converts not having to be circumcised anymore physically. Circumcision is of the Book of the Law. There is a spiritual circumcision made without hands. But what we are speaking of is physically keeping the Law.
The death to the Law Paul mentions in verse 2:19 is said in context to Paul being dead and Living spiritually through Christ living in Him and Christ's faith being manifested.
In respect to Christ now living vicariously through and with Paul, Paul continues to say if righteousness is of the Law and not of this faith, then Christ died for nothing.
A distinction is made which is missed by most and is extremely important in relation to what we speak. It is said In context to Christ living in and through us and us not having to be circumcised anymore which is of the Law. If while we are in this state we are found to be sinners, is Christ the minister of sin, since He is living in and through us? God forbid Paul continues, if we build again the things we destroyed we make ourselves transgressors!
In this we see at least two things that need to be noted. For one sin is still sin. And as Paul states in Rom.3 and 7, we would not know sin but by the Law, for by the Law is the knowledge of sin. And the secondly, circumcision is not part of this sin to which we can be found in. This work of the Law has been and is being fulfilled in us through Christ and the physical work of this Law is not needed. There has been a change in the Book of Law in respect to how it is manifested. Christ now lives vicariously through through and with us and we have been circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in the putting of the body of sin. For we who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Know you not that we who have been baptized into Christ have been baptized into His death and are risen with Him that the Body of sin be destroyed, That henceforth we do not serve sin. For He that is dead is dead to sin is therefore freed from sin and alive unto God through Christ.

That brings us to another note worthy of our attention. Through the Faith OF Christ We are dead to sin and we are dead to the Law as Galatians and Romans puts forth. How so? The old man, the Body of sin has been destroyed. It is no longer I, but Christ Jesus. And the Life we now live in the flesh we live by the Faith OF the Son of God who Gave Himself for Us. So sin is to be out of the equation for us who are in Christ and He in us that the world might believe. Paul is showing us we do not live by the Book of the Law any more but by Christ and His Spirit. So He, we are dead to the Law. Manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ, Written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

This is brought even clearer to us to verses 2-5 in chapter 3 in Galatians where we see the Spirit is mentioned in respect to the hearing of faith. If we are now dead but alive and it is Christ living in us and we now live by the Faith OF the Son of God who gave Himself for us we have His Spirit and have begun in the Spirit and are hearing the Faith that we are now living by that is OF Christ. We are not made perfect by the flesh, justified by the works of the Law but by listening to the Spirit, hearkening unto the hearing of the Faith of Christ.

This hearing of faith, hearkening unto the Spirit of Christ is said in Context to verse 6. Where it states as a direct comparison, EVEN AS, JUST AS Abraham believed God.

Abraham heard God and believed and acted. So we of the Faith of Christ Hear God believe and Act. We as He have the hearing of Faith. Not because of the Law, but because of Christ, His Spirit, Faith in us. Being dead, but alive in and through Christ We do because of who we are in Christ not because of the Book of the Law, and external source. But because of the changed heart through Christ. We are a new creature. All is new and of God. His Word is in our heart that we do it. That is the word of Faith in which we preach. As God has said. He will put His Law in our hearts and iin our minds. And our sins and iniquities will no longer be brought to His remembrance.

Now one might of forgot that physical circumcision is no longer a requirement and by the works of the Law shall no flesh be justified as chapter 2 plainly stated. And say if the Law, His Word is in our hearts we will keep God's Holy days and if we do not we are sinning. That is a problem. Circumcision and All the holy days accept the Sabbath of Creation were instituted because of the fall in the Garden of Eden. Every last one of them. And every last one of them Paul states He is dead to in chapter 2 when he states he is dead to the Law and not Justified by doing it. Mind you sin still exists (prayerfully not in us) and is defined by the Law. But as was stated by Paul, circumcision is not one of those laws that defines sin. Therefore we do not have to do it. And as we progress here we will see that the days months, times and years are indeed those written in the Book of the Law instituted after and because of the Fall in the Garden of Eden. and Are also of the works of the Law in which we do not have to do, because they justified no one.

As chapter 3 stated, We are not made perfect by the works of the Law, For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed [is] every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. This works of the Law is being said in respect to verse 2:16 where Paul had said that we know that we are not Justified by the works of the Law if not through faith of Jesus. To be of the Law, the Book of the Law that Paul stated that he was dead to meant that you did the works of it to be justified. The Law has made no one righteous, not one. For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Through the Law, the Book of the Law is the knowledge of sin. Therefore it was our schoolmaster, tutor to bring us UNTO Christ, the Heir according to the promise. We are now the children of Abraham partakers of the promised blessedness through Christ. For we who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, male nor female, bond or freeman. We Are All One in Christ and of Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

There is neither Jew nor Gentile. This takes us spiritually back to the time of Abraham before Sinai and the giving of the Law. We are to walk with God through believing Him, hearing the faith and hearkening unto it through Christ. Christ, The promised land, flowing with milk and honey, through the veil, that is to say Christ's flesh. Mind you we do not make the void the Law which gives us the knowledge of sin through Faith. Neigh in no way! For through Christ the Word is in our hearts. We are changed and walk with God through faith and We establish the law. We are a new creature. Be a doer of the word in your heart and not a hearer only deceiving your own selves. Look into the reflection. Do not forget what manner of man we now are in Christ. Sons of God with the Spirit, Faith of His Son crying in our hearts, Abba, Father. Redeemed from under the Law, the elements, first principles of this world. How can we Turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, first principles? Whereunto ye desire AGAIN to be in bondage? Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? One Abraham had two sons, one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. Brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage, that of Sinia. Be led of the Spirit, and not under the law, bondage of Sinai. Walk in the faith of Abraham, Christ Jesus with God. Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Glory in the Lord and in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto us, and we unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Behold all is new and of God. He is faithful and will not suffer us to be tempted above that we are able to bear. He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. He in us, us in Him that the world might believe. Amen

380 Million Christians Face Brutal Persecution in Muslim-Majority Regions

Europe must take note, ban Sharia law, and reshape its refugee and migrant policy, keeping in mind the tyrannical nature of Islam.

new report by Open Doors, an international human rights organization that monitors Christian persecution on a global scale, confirms that Christianity is the world’s most persecuted religion. Except for North Korea, where the source of persecution is Communist and Post-Communist oppression, the cause of persecution in the other top 10 countries is mainly Islamic oppression.

Every year, Open Doors releases its “World Watch” report of the 50 states that persecute Christians. According to the organization’s 2025 report, more than 380 million Christians across the world suffer high levels of persecution and discrimination because of their faith.

North Korea, Somalia, Yemen, Libya, Sudan, Eritrea, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan are all in the top ten list of countries where Christians are exposed to extreme persecution.

The only NATO member country on the World Watch list is Turkey (number 45), where the Christian minority suffers from Islamic oppression, religious nationalism, dictatorial paranoia, and ethno-religious hostility.
