The songs and hyms we sing are always about "Victory", as the Words of Jesus lead us thru trials and tribulations, but we always come out triumphant, as He is our Light and Salvation.

Remember the song the Hebrews sang in Exodus? They are practically singing that song in Revelation. It is always about YHWH and His Christ Jesus and how we can be victorious thru Him to others.

At my church we have a 10 minute bit of silence/sharing/testimony time. That's about as bohemian as our church gets, and we even raise our hands when we praise!!! It's relaxed for a liturgical church.

Since the 4th c., the laity have been strongly admonished to read the scriptures daily, prayerfully and deeply.
