*Sips his coffee and giggles*,,,,,,,,,“One day the great European War will come out of some damned foolish thing in the Balkans (1888).” ― Otto von Bismarck And then you had the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand and his wife which started WW 1. And thus the Wheel of Time takes another click to the right as the street riots in Venezuela emulate the riots of 100 years before. Different time, different place, same economic realities- or lack thereof

("...even now I'm hoping that this ukraine will calm down, where the eastern end of the country has been russian from centuries back, so let them split up like yugoslavia had to, yes russia is hurting perhaps but europe is hurting even more, where putin only has to wait this one out, america can't support europe in oil and gas as it has no export infrastructure, and where america is over extended elsewhere already..." ventured the goblin quickly adding "...america wants foreign entanglement today because either the government run financial system or financial system run government, is out of pocket and has no other options in my view...")

the goblin just sighed adding "...so the newspaper reads that britain is now sending troops to ukraine too, yet I feel too old to rally against this prospect alone by myself, but isn't this how most wars innocently start, with something happening far away causing little changes to one's surroundings, then more and more changes till suddenly it's for real and we're called to arms as the country goes into a war footing, and all done in claims of "the right to defend one's interests abroad", one's liberties are at stake here, etc., so are you ready for this war then, for whatever peace we had till now will be over soon enough if we're caught sleeping about it, thus ours is to witness first, and then to organize peaceably against it where needs must, lest you, or your sons or your friends become yet more cannon fodder of foreign entanglement..."

repost from elsewhere, the trolls again

I'd pay money to perma this idiot from the internet.

"...just who is talking about whom here I wonder..." voiced the goblin to himself mostlly not sure if it really mattered though, no the real point raised by that line above was what is money there, whereupon the goblin smiled venturing "...money a token of value, where other than money we have "legal tender" such as these well known currencies to date, where they too are a token of value then, but they in themselves have no value whatsoever bar than which is given to them by those authorities over us, and are as such not money...", thus the goblin felt that things that were money were like gold, silver, salt, and other tradable goods, smiling "...to date paper currencies have always devalued into worthlessness then, where today too the world is awash with unimaginable debt made worse by its derivatives market mostly held by deutsche bank at 73trillion dollars equating to twenty times that of germany's GDP then...", to which the goblin just laughed to the words "...no I don't know what money is even, only that I know that it's not what it was then, and guess it won't be what it is at this rate soon enough..."

"...no, your sanity is doing just fine there, only that increasingly it serves you ill in a western world that is fast going insane intent on winning a battle to lose this war..." joked the goblin not really joking by it, adding "...ah no, those of the faith are not those who do set rituals in churches at this point, they're those who hold dear to the lord's ten commandments, where no foreign entanglements is about as christian as it comes then, and besides too, the west can't win this even if they win this round, for it can only flip europe's support towards the bric nations, and the middle east's support increasingly towards the wrong islam in reaction to our supplying them the weapons they now use against us...", in fact russia, faced with those sanctions could have turned that oil and gas supply off at any moment, instead putin just asked for payment in either euros or rubles but not in dollars while all along its ties to china grow in fear of the west's move east, sighing "...old soldier, isn't this kind of like "the cuban missile crisis" in reverse only where it's our turn to turn back I guess..."

As a soldier I don't care if someones gay or not- when the bullets fly, its just one more person shooting back or running the machine guns or the mortar tubes. As far as their relationship with God and Christ,,,,that is between them. *Shrugs* Bill Clinton said "Don't ask, don't tell" and currently the soldiers, sailors and airmens attitudes are "so what"? Or as a navy friend who was a submariner said "Pride runs deep, but apathy runs deeper than pride"

("...your army has it right again, and that is how it should be too..." replied the goblin hating being told what one is suppose to think due to one's religion now, or how to react without first judging the individuality therein, adding "...me, I'd hate to reach the pearly gate admitting to god that I'm utterly clueless because I told his flock analogy as gospel, ah no, god is not fooled by singsongs in churches, he wants christians out on the streets too throwing themselves to the lions in what is god's purpose...")

I am happy to hear from you any how! And in fact I was as honest as to have told him that I asked to talk to you (and that I did). He was obviously very angry and I somehow felt bad too for that I shouldn't bother any of our parents with the trouble of our generation. But I still appreciate talking to you very much and hope he wouldn't misunderstand that or take it that much to his heart. I likewise hope that it wasn't bringing any burden to you. Thank you a lot for the link. It was indeed a very beautiful book. A wonderful companion when i went to sleep and might have brought sweet dreams of dessert and treasure that I didn't know of. Have a great weekend and hope I will see you soon
"...ah, but you must not report to him then, anymore than he would tell you about he relates to me, and no, I don't think my wife tells me everything neither, and although I do note her new bag or her new watch or her new whatever else then, isn't it best for me to pretend that I didn't see it now...", if simply, because when one admits that one had seen something then that benchmark of deception only goes up through one's imprudent honesty. continuing "...so if you email me again, which is just you exercising your own right to, when no he doesn't own you, even if it might be better to fool him even thinking he does, oh yes, men are ever the head of the household now but women, by that default then, are the neck that turns the heads to point whichever way they will..." in fact, the world of adults is ever one of white lies where one says something meant not to draw attention to oneself, for in life there is no real independence whatsoever, as one buys into society and thus society owns one back, concluding "...to be honest my son would be stupid ever to lose you, for you have all that my son could possibly need, but then again my son could just die tomorrow, so one has to learn to be whole by oneself even in the depth of any relationship with anyone...", and thus the fragility of youth passes into the sobriety of something more akin to disillusion later, still love perhaps but not blind love anymore

*Packs his church wardens pipe while laughing, gets a good draw and slowly speaks* Feeding myself to lions is NOT on my "to do" list, Goblin. Granted, it has been put on other peoples list- you could start with my first wifes divorce attorney I suppose- to start. On the other hand, a dead Christian isn't worth much except as compost while alive we can teach schools, operate hospitals (even if we're-as usual- low on medical supplies) and operate orphanages.

Theres an orphanage down in Zimbabwe that until VERY recently (like, last year) would bury their child alive if the mother died of AIDS because they believed it was actually demons. *sucks in a lungful of smoke*,,,,,,if they really want to see demons they should look down the barrel of an AK, or another rifle being aimed at them. Anyhow- they'res now a new orphanage that will take the children and raise them. Some of them have now graduated from high school and are on their way to college in Germany! Good for them!

Had one couple, both HIV+ who had 6 children- 3 positive, 3 negative. Both of the parents refused to be "fixed" because- "we might want more children".

*eyes narrowed* This, urinated me off greatly. I gently and lovingly said by back channel communications if one of them didn't change their minds I might travel from America and do it myself, savvy? Its bad enough we have to feed them because of their governments- most of Africa has literally lost the technology base to feed themselves. What did that one wag say to me about 5 years back?

"Oh, we no longer grow our food. Its easier to beg food from you than it is to grow our own". Ah, that's the quote.

The fragility of youth and love. I've become so embittered over the years I've almost encouraged young men to put their sperm on ice for storage, and get fixed- then they couldn't be trapped in child support.

repost form elsewhere, the "make a sweeping generalization" thread

"...oh but yes, those sailormoon outfits again, there I knew that I could learn something on this forum eventually..." ventured the goblin thinking such thoughts were beneath him though while trying not to think of them with glee now before adding "...you know something, now I think about it I never did get to see the part where sailormoon has it off with the guy in goggles behind the bicycle shed...", whereupon the goblin rubbed his chin thinking back upon his childhood now, then continuing "...and maybe too, it was this deprivation then of actually going through life feeling that I'd missed out on something that had pushed me into writing, and that just perhaps, had I not lived such a sheltered life that I might have grown up normally instead and not written anything at all, much like those normal people do...", yet his lamentations were no doubt falling upon the very ears of those with the same failing here, at which point the goblin quickly wrote down a public service warning copying it from his daughter's cigarette packet written in french "warning, most doctors don't smoke, yes, but mind you they don't write neither, so just draw your own conclusions there"

True, Gob, very true.

I do have some good news to report: my surgery to remove the 7.3mm kidney stones and 3 of its brothers were successful. Its been 4 days and instead of urinating raw blood mixed with urine its now urine mixed with raw blood. Doesn't seem like a significant difference except the order clues one in to hows ones guts are working.

Tomorrow I get to pull out the stent around noon. I fully intend to drug myself, shower myself, pull the stent in the shower like the doc said, then probably pee myself while doubling over in agony. He claims it'll be painless- Doc's right if I use enough pain pills FIRST and maybe float some "Makers 46" on top of it (about an ounce) should do it!

"...you write well, you had from the start but now you're writing better still..." replied the goblin thanking the old soldier for sharing then, while feeling uneasy himself because his daughter had gone to spain from switzerland on the very morning that that plane back from there had crashed then, adding "...the cause of which is as yet unknown but it clearly has shown me just how much I have taken my happiness for granted..." where the goblin too in being faced with what the doctor had told him about himself had changed his diet drastically, sighing "...and thus the fruits left to ripen on a family tree reveal one's fate in their falling, where perhaps my grandmother's blindness with leg amputation due to her diabetus, together with my mother's slow drowning in dementia had been like their last gifts to me, and where I too must not let my gift be lost on my children and their descendent in their turn..."

True, very true indeed in your last post, Gob.

Let me tell you the tale of the removal of the stent.

I took my nice long hot shower the doctor had ordered- I had been only showering once every other day rather than 2 times a day- because it was usually such a painful ordeal. As water moves, it creates static electricity. Like Ben Franklins Key on a kite string, the stent attracted static and went right on up,,,,and up,,,,,and OUCH!

But that was nothing compared to the agony which followed.

The stent itself came out easily- I even took a picture of it with a measuring tape- to show what it could do. Well, the plastic was soft but it was curled into a circle roughly 1/2" wide and must have it and irritated every nerve for 24" measured inches all the way out.

Before doing this, I had taken 5mgs of vikadent roughly 1/2 hour earlier. Feeling a bit numbed I pulled it out. Roughly 3 to 5 minutes afterwards my whole stomach cramped and kept right on cramping in agony. I waited an hour and took ANOTHER 5mg of vikadent and floated 1/2 measured ounce of "Makers 46" Kentucky Bourbon on top of it.

90 minutes later I take ANOTHER 5mgs of Vikadent. I'm in horrible, terrible agony far worse than the kidney stones had ever done- and stones are considered to be "9-10" on the pain scale while childbirth is "7-8".

Finally in desperation I look "stent removal pain" online and it said that of all things- Sodium Naproxen has had a very good reputation on getting rid of the pain. So I take ONE- by now I've got 15 drugs plus alcohol in my system and I do NOT like recreational drugs.

Wife says "Whatcha lookin at?" How to get rid of this *BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE, BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE AND BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE* agony.

She comes over, bends over and wiggle's her butt in my face to make fun of me. I get angry and slapped it- HARD. She slapped me back and ran out of the room.

I'm in agony. I now have an angry wife. I have the worlds most cowardly dog who's got her head hidden under the bed because she's now so fat she won't fit.

I get dressed- its amazing how pain can focus a purpose- and in this case I was screwed and I knew it. I HAD to get to the Seattle Veterans Hospital.

"I'm going to the hospital" I said as I walked/stumbled out the door trying to get to my van.

I do not believe in luck; I do however believe in Gods providence.

Behind my ratty rickity old van (1988 GMC Safari) is a state of the art Ambulance that didn't have a passenger in it. I was soon going to fix that....

"Please, take me to the Veterans Hospital in Seattle- its 40 miles away"

"Sorry Sir, can't do that- but I can take you to Saint Clares which is right across the bridge" (Its literally 6/10ths of a mile from the house in Lakewood, WA and I've walked it a few times as they have a most excellent cafeteria)

I collapsed in the parking lot in front of my landlord and the paramedics. No way in hell could I have possibly made it to the Seattle VA. The wife somehow got her act together and was dressed- she'd grabbed my diabetic kit and was going to follow or drive.

I was loaded into the ambulance- BP was 200/100 heart rate 100+, I'm bawling like a little kid who kept getting kicked in the groin.

Then the pain went away. 100%. After 3 hours, I couldn't feel any pain, and it had been roughly 1/2 of an hour since the "Aleve"

"Gents, please run my vitals again"

"Uh, 150/80".......

"We'll test your blood sugar Sir....."

"No need young man- its 138"

(Insert patronizing grin here from both Paramedics) "Well, you don't mind if we check do you?" Sure, go ahead- take the blood draw on top of the finger, roughly 1/4" back from the fingernails cuiticle "Sir, are you sure-?" "Kid, trust me- I need the pads of my fingers to pick my nose and do things but the back of my fingers don't do squat"

(Blood sugar results) "Well, I'll be,,,,,his blood sugar is 136,,,,,"

"Told you so. Now my blood pressure has dropped to 130/80 and you can let me go. I don't feel any pain from that (pointing to the 30" stent, of which 24" or so had been stuffed into my guts) so lets save the tax payers some money and don't go"

"Sir, you know I really can't advise that,,,,,"

"I know Kid. I also know that every time you've asked, I've called the shot and it's been equal to, or more accurate than your $50,000 dollar portable hospital machine. If I really thought I was in danger? I'd push you into the drivers seat and make you drive. I'm good, really"

They made me sign a release- fine.

So yeah, we might have a dim view of over the counter medications for pain killing but this was just phenomenal! My pain was well past the "10" mark- I've had amputations that hurt less and once that "Aleve" kicked in the pain was TOTALLY gone.

"...one of the best things I've read of late..." mentioned the goblin thanking the old soldier aware that he had nothing worthy to reply back with though and leaving off till now, before continuing "...no, I try to pitch my posts to the level of whom I'm addressing, high in this case then...", but the goblin talked too much about himself anyway, though today his mind was just catching up with world financial events and what was meant by that line given out by brussels that cash is the enemy when more and more transactions now have to be done electronically instead, sighing "...just they want to know who has what and how it is used too, plus they want you servicing your debt rather than you saving your money, something boding ill for the times we are in where to save money is simply to lose it...", just that when all this becomes debt to the touch to the point where money was no longer physical even, was when it told the onlooker to take not that these were borrowed times by it, where such borrowed times cannot last can they

Borrowed times indeed are all going to kill us. When you get a chance and bored, look up the new $5 Canadian coin that'll be coming out by 2017. Silver, blue background, silver wolf in the middle. Since they have "loonies" and "toonies" now they're considering calling it "wolfies".

Meanwhile, I've joined a local militia. Things are bad here in Washington state, Goblin. No foolin'- up to now I've been trying to prevent a shooting war between the liberal socialists who haven't figured out that everywhere socialism/communisim has been tried its failed, and those of us who have the common sense to learn from nations past mistakes have come close to throwing down.

In fact, to show you just how ham handed ineptly handled the situation, the Homeland Security set up snipers on the outside of the Thomas Foley Federal Building in Spokane about 6, 7 weeks ago. Now Snipers are taught to stay hidden.

I have a full face picture of this inept sniper.

I post it on Facebook, not only ridiculing them but asking if anyone knows this local fool and could I have his name and home address.

For some reason, Homeland Security gets a mite angry at me when I post this- I'd put the pic in here but its beyond my skill base. (I need a separate thingy called a URL and I don't have one)

People are angry, frustrated at the government all over the United States. In Conn. they're passively sitting around- some 300,000 civilians have refused to turn in their guns, the Conn state police only has 4700 personnel- so they're outgunned like 27.5 to 1. Right now the anti-gun agenda is going slowly through the court system, and the stupid Leutenatent who said he'd happily go door to door searching for guns is now fired.

Meanwhile, in Idaho its now legal to carry a firearm out in the open or concealed without a permit. In Washington state, we have the exact opposite problem- any form of gun transfer must go through an FFL.

If you and I went to the range, and I lent you my pistol, rifle or shotgun to shoot? It'd have to go through a FFL dealer first- the law is that restrictive.

Right now, I've been working with the 2nd Amendment Foundation's lawsuit against I-594. The anti-gunners were so smug when their 18 page law came into effect- imagine their cursing and panic when they were served with a 24 page line by line rebuttal of why it was illegal.

On a more happier note, the Son in law seems to be getting his Veterans disability- his neck, shoulders, back and hips are all messed up from packing 40 pounds of body armor, plus firearm and ammo, and all of his medic supplies. That's 100 pounds of crap per 7 miles of patrol every day for a year. Throw in some PTSD from watching his buddies blow up? "not good" would be a polite way to describe it.

The daughters working on a grand daughter for me. So 2 grand sons, 1 grand daughter just in time for the end of the world,,,,,,? o_O Well,,,,,*BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE, BLESS AND DO NOT CURSE!!*

"...I would not mind any of their moves towards authoritarianism today, no actually I'd mind but that would be an end to it then, where even now bar voicing my concern I do nothing in protest to the obvious, yet what worries me old soldier is not the moral issues here so much as the clear understanding that this transaction from west to east will not occur smoothly like when a young son takes over from an old father, much like pax americana took over from pax britannia after the second world war, no simply I cannot see "the brics", for want of a better name for this new power group here, forgiving the west for the mess it has caused militarily by those strong arm tactics, nor however do I see the west handing over power peacefully neither, but the facts are that dollar has no basis for exuberance with neither the domestic production nor raw material exports that merits its supposed strength..." in fact, the goblin felt that the iran nuclear deal was not so much the details of who had agreed to what as proof that the west's containment program of iran was no longer teneble, meaning that this time around this new "colder war" was going to be far harder to win where the west, not the east, is now seen as the antagonist here, concluding "...the line between preemptive and antagonistic is merely one of how something is spun in the news is it not..."

back the goblin came feeling he should recap explain to those who neither cared nor understood by looks of things, saying "...this NDAA act acutally means that they can kill you now, just as they have killed by it to date, anyone whom they feel to be an enemy of the state, just as they can detain anyone, search their premises without a warrant, hold indefinitely, waterboard to the point beyond death, can spy on, tap the phone, intercept emails, render to a foreign country for torture, anyone the deem fits the bill...", breaking off for breath then continuing "...no the west decries chinese civil rights, but the NDAA act is no better now, and how the west rants about iran's nuclear proliferation too demanding nuclear inspectors while going utterly silent to isreal's nuclear capabilities, how the west decries al quida, isis, and others, yet supports anyone however bad who is willing to do their dirty work, the west claims to be winning this war on terrorism with a pre-emptive program that increases the likelihood of wars...", in fact, the goblin often wondered what the founding fathers would say if they turned up today seeing such foreign entanglements, that central bank, and the NDAA too, smiling "...one is not a flag, anymore than one is simply a place that one stands upon, no one is and what makes one american in my view is one's principles whatever ground one might stand upon, one stands for those principles now..."
