I have mixed feelings on it honestly. It feels like it is sinful in a way, because its a choice to put God on the back burner for a few minutes while taking care of some carnal desires. I don't know about you personally but when I am really into the things of God, at that moment in time it makes any type of sexual desire disappear.
I think this falls under the category "not sure" , so I just pray for wisdom and understanding and forgiveness for my lack thereof.
Change carnal to gluttonous, and then eating is sinful.
I mean, what else do we do that puts God on the back-burner? I could probably name a hundred things. Heck, for most of us, God is constantly on the back-burner. It's not good, but it's true for a lot of people. All they see of God is in church. And we don't usually think of those things as sinful. If we looked at it like that, then doing anything pleasurable while not thinking of God could be sinful, like listening to music or having a bowl of ice cream.
