CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nonsense. If you truly were interested in such an exchange you would have taken it to PMs, as is appropriate. You didn't. You made my "reprisals" as public as anything else in this thread and steered it far off-topic in the process. This isn't the place, at all. Period. Furthermore, I'm not interested in being part of your vision of what the Catholic Church represents.

I don't know either of you, but I agree with Dannager. Even if you had basis for your accusations, if you are to "discipline" a brother, you are to go to him in Private first, then bring him before the elders, then, and only then, make his sin (real or perceived) public to the congregation. never are you to proclaim it publically, as you have in this world-wide internet forum.
And besides, I'm pretty sure that Jesus was against the Pharisaical legality you have been preaching, sir. He died to save us from our sins, not to have the new church start enforcing new ones.
