A fifth column is any group of people who undermine a larger group from within, usually in favor of an enemy group or nation. The activities of a fifth column can be overt or clandestine. Forces gathered in secret can mobilize openly to assist an external attack. This term is also extended to organized actions by military personnel. Clandestine fifth column activities can involve acts of sabotage, disinformation, or espionage executed within defense lines by secret sympathizers with an external force.

I've seen this type of person many times. People who seek to tear down the church and Christianity. They seek to plant doubt where there is certainty. They muddy the waters on issues which are crystal clear, and they applaud false religions while shouting down Christ's bride. They are scoffers, mockers, and all things scripture describes them as, and while they have no chance of deceiving any but the weakest saint, it's precisely the new and gullible Christians they prey on. They do all of this while wearing sheep's-wool suits.
