It very well would not need to be Russia, but a far different ... well.... different.... way...
Dollars, Persuasion, Influence, Trickery .... a lot involved, not just dollars.
If this is an invitation to read your mind, pass, hard pass.
If you decide to offer an opinion, it should be as clear and concise as you can get it, to avoid misunderstandings.
Thank you.

Depends... do you want just specifically end the war in Ukraine? ...that's easy. Whoever the republican is, they'd be happy to pull back and let Russia win (which is likely where the chips would fall)

Or all foreign interventionism?... that one may be a little trickier.

If it's the latter, then I don't know if you'll have many options on that one as there are some neo-cons in both parties who would be happy to just replace that conflict with another one to keep their donors happy.

You don’t think that a GOP President would honor our commitments to Ukraine?

Russia might support the use of Blue Helmets,
as long as they come from a non-Nato country.

United Nations Peacekeeping
I don't think k they will as long as they think they can win. Same with Ukraine.

The people of Russia don't want this war, this is Putin's war. And the Ukrainian people don't want this war, but they are going to stand up and fight to keep their land.

But as long as Putin thinks he can keep the land he got, or Ukraine thinks they can get there land back, neither side will accept a UN force.

And given that it is in NATO's back yard, they would likely be called on for support, which Putin would not allow.

All I'm saying is that only Trump said he would end the war .... he did not disclose how he would do that and how is pure speculation.
Of course he didn’t. He NEVER does. He just makes claims; typically with a two week time frame.

Who knew the health system was so complicated?

Who could have guessed that the Mexicans wouldn’t pay for the wall?

Who could have predicted that North Korea would still be North Koreaing even now?

Criticise. Claim. Inaction. Excuse. Blame. Project. Ad infinitum. That is Mr Trump’s game plan: and people still think he’s on the up and up.

Based on some of the rhetoric of the front-runners in the primaries, it's not likely...

And it's not exactly a "new thing"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has publicly commented on the Budapest Memorandum by arguing that it provides no true guarantee of safety due to Russia's coercive power. On 19 February 2022, Zelenskyy made a speech at the Munich Security Conference in which he said "Since 2014, Ukraine has tried three times to convene consultations with the guarantor states of the Budapest Memorandum [i.e. United States and United Kingdom]. Three times without success. Today Ukraine will do it for the fourth time. ... If they do not happen again or their results do not guarantee security for our country, Ukraine will have every right to believe that the Budapest Memorandum is not working and all the package decisions of 1994 are in doubt."

...if what Zelenskyy is saying is true and there were 3 prior to attempts to invoke it between 2014 and present

so it's ok to bomb and kill separatists if they are living in your country?

I understand at this point in time we are not sending troops .... are you for doing that when it comes to that?

Given that they invaded the rest of the country yes. Were it merely a civil war backed by Russia and stayed that way we likely would have never needed to supply the Ukrainians. As of now, Russian interests need to be pushed out.

well ... trump didn't receive cooperation from the democratic party to fully fund his ideas about our border protection.

They all "just make claims" ... Biden "claims" the border is protected .... yeah right .... over one million have crossed just this year.

I don't care who the president is .... the main function of the presidency is supposed to be to protect our nation and it's citizens .... legal immigration controls the flow ... if the flow isn't controlled then the system gets overwhelmed and that's exactly what is happening.

To be fair Trump had the House and the Senate at that time.

Aaaaaaaand it's gone!

Weird how all the “RINOs” only seem to appear with the advent of Trump. Perhaps the problem is Trump?

You can’t use NATO troops as Blue Helmets,
for the same reason you can’t use troops from China.

There are many neutral countries in the world
to get Blue Helmets from.

The President we don't need is the one who admires ruthless totalitarian dictators like Vladimir Putin, who ordered the invasion.
Obama is the one responsible for this war and the carnage in Syria. If not him personally, then his people that he appointed.

What is the problem? There were no wars when he was president.
Unless you want to consider the pandemic an act of war because he use to really insult China.
