Where do you hang out?
Facebook. Certain friends posts who are angry with a certain (recent SCOTUS) decision.

I do not think it's appropriate to discuss here. I want everything to be positive here without anyone getting mad.

Positive vibes only.

In the past year I've gotten rid of many of my frustrations by unfollowing news sites and friends I really don't talk to anymore. It is okay to move on from people, especially if they do not share your faith.

I unfollow but don't unfriend anyone who's overly political on Facebook, whether that person leans left or right. I only left a single comment on the local news site about it when the matter was raised there, and left it at that.

I'd use a caterer for events but I wouldn't have someone making my meals on a daily basis. It's a control risk. There's too much latitude for breaches. When you bring someone in your home you're taking a risk. You need the appropriate parameters in place to guard against problems
I was thinking the same. It would be nice if I do ever marry that cooking together is part of the equation.

hope you have fun! :)
I hope too. If nothing else, I can gain more useful information for training. Also it's more experience and opening me up more. I still have to be wise in my decisions and choices though.

I don't expect you to follow suit. But I'll share my approach to social media. In my experience its profoundly upsetting for most. Whether its a comment, image, or snapshot from someone's life. It makes a lot of people trigger.

It's importance to reinforce the things that enhance our faith, joy and peace of mind. Sometimes that requires a less is more approach. I don't connect with friends and family on those mediums. There's a lot of things I don't want to hear or know or discover through people connected to them.

I restrict myself to the people I know (bloggers/entrepreneurs) and brands in my niche or topics of interest. There's a measure of professionalism in both you won't find elsewhere. Because they're trying to make money. That hastens their tongue and they don't allow train wrecks.

But when you're dealing with the general population its a different matter. They have no qualms taking the gloves off and many relish the opportunity to do so. It's a battle royal and you didn't sign up for that. Muting or unfollowing them may be best. We're extremely divided now. If it isn't one thing its another. Rest assured there's more to come.

You have to prioritize your well-being and psyche. Do you what you must to keep them in good repair. :)

That's the exact reason I only see the posts of maybe half my total FB friends. I got tired of hearing their constant raging, left or right.

Same with me. Mental health-wise, taking the "End Times will happen when they happen" approach is greatly helping, no matter how many Philadelphia cream cheese bagels I try to bribe the angels with (Mark 13:32-37, Matt. 24:36-51)! :p

Philadelphia Cream Cheese commercial involving angels.
Why would commercials lie to me like this? :p

@Vinter I think you're ready for this. :)

Live your life like a Studio Ghibli movie...

You have to start romanticizing your life. You have to start thinking of yourself as the main character. Because if you don’t, life will continue to pass you by. And all the little things that make it so beautiful, will continue to go unnoticed. So take a second, and look around, and realize that it’s a blessing for you to be here right now.

Am I living the life I imagined or has it escaped me? If so, how do I get it back?

It really sounds as though you are not having a good night at all tonight, Riley. :( Still praying for you, that God will give you solace from everything that may be tormenting you right now.
thank you

Thank you everyone for your advice. I appreciate it. I need to stay away from social media for the time being for the sake of my mental health. Right now it's pretty toxic. Lord, have mercy
