May I ask what struggle that would be?

Living in a world where most people just do not have respect for people who are legitimately struggling and just need a smile, not to be made a mockery of.

I think I made a decision on a local church. The study group that I want to be with is not going to start back up till August. So I will have to wait on being connected for a little while.

I was happy and it was unexpected during communion to see the pastor show up in the social distancing room. I was 20 minutes late and the only one there. So I will be my last visit to the church I've been connected with free pandemic. I have a picnic coming up this memorial Day weekend that I will see my old study group. I said my goodbye to the zoom study group that I was part of last Tuesday. Very sad but time wise weekdays do not work for me.

Going to take a break again this week from social media and Christian forms to make sure to get some things prioritized. If I have to I might keep this up until I make sure to have consistent quiet times. I think the only way that I'm going to get back to that place that I was in 2020 before dating a certain guy.. is to set my priorities right.

Unless I have you confused with someone else, I remember you once saying you were also a fan of Joe Bob Briggs from the old Monster Vision show in the 90's. I had no idea until last night searching through Amazon Vid for something to watch before sleep that Joe Bob has been doing a new show for a few years now, called Joe Bob's Last Drive-In or something. Dude's still hilarious in this one. The episode I settled on watching had him making fun of incels for twenty minutes before finally getting to the viewing of some old movie about malfunctioning security robots terrorizing teenagers all night in a mall. Classic. Dude may be pushing 70, but he's still got it. ^_^

Check it out if you haven't already.

@Vinter

The recent comment on crushes brought a passage to mind.

You ask [God for something] and do not receive it, because you ask with wrong motives [out of selfishness or with an unrighteous agenda], so that [when you get what you want] you may spend it on your [hedonistic] desires.

Crushes are born of the flesh. The attraction is usually physical, emotional, or mental. Because of its origination, feeding expands it and it often grows swifter than the besotted expects.

The receptacle is usually clueless. They don’t know the extent of the focus, fantasy, or desire their presence evokes in the other. With continued nourishment believers turn to prayer.

There’s usually no agreement before it occurs. No mutual want for God’s intervention or shared interest. Just a one-sided desire headed for calamity.

You can’t move a person from a position unless they walk or they’re forced. Asking the Lord to make them like you, want you, marry you, without reciprocity or an inkling they want the same themselves is coercion. You’re asking Him to bend their will on your behalf for selfish reasons.

When the disciples asked Christ how to pray He said, “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” That ought to give us pause. Are we asking for things sanctioned in heaven or works of the flesh? That’s why prayers go unanswered.

You cannot pray illegitimately and expect to receive it from the Lord. We can’t force others to love us. We should be desirous of connections where that isn’t required. Where there’s give and take instead of endless striving.

You don’t have to convince anyone to want you who desires you. They’ll express it on their own. We don’t have to twist their arm or waste our time praying erroneously.

A threefold cord is not quickly broken because they’re intertwined. Coalescence is intentional. You don’t wrap yourself around someone you don’t want to be wrapped around. That’s how relationships occur in name only. They’ve never merged.

Better to seek the one who wants to do you well all her days than the alternative.

I get eyestrain bad. :(

I've been browsing the Debate Other Religions subforum (specifically the Mormon threads) the past few nights, but haven't been seeing any ads like that.

Do you mean like the play? Isn't that supposed to be like a comedy?
No. I mean the actual Book of Mormon.
