Since about Christmas, I've lost 13 pounds! Woot! Things are going great so far.
Way to go! I hope you feel healthier. And are finding nutritious yummy meals or snacks. I've been trying to change some of my habits.

One associate called out because she has caught her son in law's illness, he is being tested today for Covid. And I sent another associate home because she found out her nephew that was visiting, that she was with for hours over the course of 3 days, has tested positive for Covid.

I'd better strap in, the next few weeks are gonna be a bumpy ride.

My weight has gone up and down over the past few years, so I'm trying to break out of that. When I would do it in the past, I would go to one extreme and basically starve myself, but then wonder why I couldn't stick with it. So, as I shared in another post, I'm learning how to have a more healthy relationship with food. Food isn't a bad thing. I need it to survive. Just been making better choices and the weight is falling off. I'm not following any strict fad diet or anything.

One associate's test popped positive. So I left work early to hit the Urgent Care for a Covid test. Three clinics kicked me out, not wanting to test me because I'm not having symptoms. Did an at home test. Negative. So I guess I'm going to work tomorrow.

Thanks! It actually turned out really good and I was so surprised. Some people walked in asking if there was a lunch we were having. The veggies won over the cookies. It also help to keep me more accountable to eating healthier. I have other dishes planned for the next few months to keep me accountable.
That's awesome!!! I need to be more accountable with myself about my health. It sounds like you are good at making a plan! I need to learn this!

Do they know how hard it is to get an in home test? If my sister hadn't been willing to leave one on the porch for me to pickup, I wouldn't have had one, and would have had to either go to work tomorrow, knowing I might be infecting every patient that comes in, or tell the Market Director sorry, but I'm staying home, and I was the only one scheduled to work, so the Vision Center is staying closed, I guess... I mean, I have had more awkward conversations in the past, but still, not a convo I'd like to have, you know? haha :dontcare:

That sounds a bit frustrating! :hug:You'd think that it would be more available, although from what I hear in our area they are in short supply. That was so nice of your sister!

On my mind: I learned this week that there is a limit to how many people you can block on a certain dating app. There were many reasons and some of it was to give the other privacy if we decided we weren't a match. And sometimes I just didn't know how to respond to someone I knew we wouldn't be a match or too tired at the time to figure out how to respond or wanted privacy from people locally that I didn't want to deal with in public places like grocery stores.

So I spent a few hours unblocking to August 2021 (Jan 2020 is when I started). I have a feeling that the limit might be a thousand. I decided to wish each person Happy New Year but let them know that we were not a match &unmatch after response. I knew that I would get a little bit of retaliation, possibly questions about why, no response but looking at my profile, possibly a few that brings them closure and Goodwill as they continue their search. I was surprised 98% have been the latter, and I feel blessed.

I think I'm going to continue another night, but I have to find out why some of them I couldn't send messages to. I think there's a limit to how many messages you can send out at a time.
Anyways I know almost here will not engage in online dating, but I know for me it has changed my perception in everyday interactions with others. For the better.

Wishing everyone at most blessed day and that you're 2022 is off to a good start... And if not that the Lord is giving you the peace and strength to carry you through the trials you are facing.
Dating sites can be a hassle. Yet another reason why I don't personally use them, but many do find love that way. Hopefully, you're able to make them work for you. Ultimately, I think it comes down to whoever happens to be using them at a given time in your given search area, and how effective you both are at communicating what you're looking for.

Yes, I have to agree it's almost like when two people meet walking into the same grocery store or event at the same time. And just happened to make a connection. I wish one of those moments would happen, especially offline. But in the meantime I will continue to develop and grow myself. Online dating is definitely not for the majority, as I have seen in personal friendships. They only tried it for a certain amount of time before getting frustrated. And then I have talked to those who have an addiction to it and have had to totally break from it.

Blessings my brother in Christ.

Yeah, very nice e of my sister.

I got my only remaining associate to do a self test. Negative. Thankfully. I told her I'm going to do six day workweeks to make sure we cover all the bases, and asked if she wanted to do the same because I know she likes Overtime, and she agreed.

It isn't gonna be the most fun I've ever had at work, but I've had it worse before. Glad she's willing to come help me out.
