Blocking someone is like putting a child in timeout. Eventually, you forgive them and let them go play. So, why can't adults do the same? Take a moment to yourself, forgive the other person, unblock them and move on with your life. It's really not that hard to do.
To me if you're talking about social media, it has more permeants than if you were to unfollow or take a break. When you block someone everything that they were tagged in is undone. Usually the other person knows and there are a lot of hurt feelings and it's hard to repair years later. I've only done it usually if I had men that it was of a safety concern. But last summer I did have a long time friend from Junior high School that blocked me. That's the first time and it had to do with the vaccine and persistence with sending me things for about 6 months and I finally listed my ground that I didn't have time to continuously pour over the various media she was sending me. She took it personally and eventually blocked me. We have mutual friends and I have continued to cultivate those friendships and pray that someday there may be restoration. Two other relationships have been strained over the their pushy opinions about the vaccine (different opinions than what the friend that I lost had) and I just have distanced myself from them and am a lot more quiet. They both have noticed in some sense because one actually came to visit my house and brought breakfast for the first time, but we did not discuss it. Ironically I had a dream right before she text me and I invited her to my place since she was in town where I live. Continue prayer, and the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom.

Anger. Ephesians 4:26-27.

Righteous anger is a God-given emotion that can help if we process it biblically. When we are angry, we must determine whether it is righteous or unrighteous anger.

Righteous anger is a reaction to sin; unrighteous anger is based on selfishness. Be careful with all anger since it can easily move from righteous to unrighteous.

If your anger is righteous, prayerfully think through a course of action that will bring glory to God by furthering his righteous purpose. Attack the problem, not the person.

Be careful to manifest the fruit of the spirit, even when you are righteously angry. If you do not deal with anger in a biblical manner, you give the devil an opportunity in your life.

Praise god! I got a coupon in the mail for a Christian automotive place in town. I've been down about my stick shift for the past 2 months there's been issues with the person who was supposed to take care of replacing the push button and was going to replace it again this weekend from a junkyard. Costing me just as much as if I had gone to a dealership. But this place sprayed some silicone in it and it is working just fine!! After I got home I noticed a card on my passenger seat and some candy. They had given me a thank you note. That was so sweet of them. Ironically the person who I bought the car from used to be the owner of that place. The owner of my vehicle was the sister of him, but passed away due to cancer. She took really good care of the car, it's a 2003 but had 68,000 miles on it when I bought it right before the pandemic. So grateful and blessed.

Also things may be coming together for putting a plan together for next year with a half single track trail Run, camping, and full Marathon. Once I've decided then I can figure out what my training plan is going to be like for the winter with strength training and work on terrain and speed and hills next year. Just praying that my body will be able to endure and that I will be wise when to back off and when to push.

Sometimes, we say things that we do not mean. Other times, we mean to say things that we do not. Therefore, “patience is a virtue”. So, always remember to please be kind to others as well as to yourself.

I disagree with some of what you said. I think for the most part people wouldn't say things if they don't mean them, even in the heat of the moment, and sometimes those improper words can have disastrous consequences. I will concede that people do on rare occasion make bad choices with their language and end up saying things that may not accurately reflect what was intended to be conveyed, and that is something that should readily be forgiven.

A Friday night in my late 40s can be kind of exciting in a college town, yet I'm totally feeling the age thing. Was excited to see people in their college football gear (young and old at an upscale grocery store) but going to Trader Joe near campus, I really started to feel my age as I saw so many girls between 18 to 21 years old. And when a group of girls walked in and started talking like they were in a sorority, it just made me feel like it was time to go. When I was their age in college, it was hard to fit in at times because I didn't have the nice clothes and money that a lot of people had. I made do and got creative and still went through Rush twice, but at this age it's hard to blend in unless I was to have a daughter with me. It's hard to believe I'm even the age of a grandmother. It's such a weird place to be in life. Even driving at night is difficult with my eyesight. Getting ready to head home, it's about a 50 minute drive from here.

Does anyone else here experience that when they get into crowds of young people?

It sounds like there is a concert going on outside my house. I'm kinda digging it! But, I hope no one else calls the police, considering the fact that it is midnight here.

Sometimes I wonder whether the Apocalyptic prophets saw into the actual future, or did they see an actual movie from the future...

...of course I lean towards the actual actual future...

I have a sore throat =[ :(:(:(:(
I hope you start feeling better. I have to wonder if something is going around since I too had swollen lymph nodes last weekend. I spent a lot of this week sleeping and I drank tea instead of coffee to clear out my sinuses. Hugs and prayers.

Visited a Lutheran traditional Church tonight. I felt it was a holy place but had trouble following the music/songs because of the sound system and being at night the light was so low that I was hard for me to read the hyms and such. This is my second night in a row being out, which is unusual. Driving is getting difficult at night with the lights. Most likely going to stick with a daytime Sunday church. But it was a blessed message!

I'm still thinking about Dune...

Using the word for the Muslim messiah (Mahdi) and talking about "the one" and how he's been manufactured by the same ones who seeded prophecies into a certain culture.

Makes me wonder if Hollywood productions are really a bit of disclosure to do with the kingdom of darkness...

Don't mean to be posting so many things on this thread but it sure is interesting to start getting back into online dating. It looks like I've been off of it on a consistent basis since june. Can't believe how many people I like have already liked me. The conversations were abundant tonight but I need to get to bed. I may have made a friend that is a recent widow. The look of some of the apps have changed also.

Not at all, Miss Sampa. We like hearing from a zesty, outgoing, and most of all good-natured, gal like yourself. So post as much as you like. :)

For whatever reason, I just had a random idea...

It's about the mysterious Melchizedek. It is said something like, he had no father or mother.

So...he was an orphan....in other words...?

Psalms 68:5
A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
