I loved anything on Nickelodeon in the 90s. All of it. I'd watch it all day.
Gotta mention some of the live-action shows
All That
Double Dare
Keenan & Kel (tho I actually prefer Drake & Josh)
Guts
Are You Afraid of the Dark (I was always too scared of this growing up (I was a scaredy cat bat then), but have watched episodes on YouTube
Clarissa Explains It All (think I was too young for this so didn't really understand it, but have also watched episodes on YouTube)
Lol.. we're just like one year apart.. I remember loving Kennan & Kel and All That. Wasn't really into the game shows. Also liked Kablaam. Especially the segments with that caveman and alien.
Are You Afraid Of The Dark? Was too scary for me too watch too.. lol.. Also my parents didn't approve of programming like that.
Same, I didn't mention it b/c, despite how crazy crazy big it was on the network, I never actually really knew anyone who loved it to the same level I did, & many actually didn't like it.
The Dill episodes aren't actually that bad, & there's some really good ones mixed in. Doesn't compare to the originals, but the show didn't become a trainwreck till Kimmi.
I watched some of the Dill episodes as an adult and I didn't like them. By that time a lot of the original writers left and it shows.
Recess was on Toon Disney, I think. We didn't get that, so I was only able to watch Recess at grandma's house. I liked a lot of stuff on Toon Disney, but Recess was amazing
It was original an ABC (Disney owned) Saturday morning show. I first watched it on UPN I believe. I was in sixth grade.. I remember being bummed out that I didn't discover this great cartoon sooner.
I remember when it appeared on Toon Disney (2003 I believe). I was so excited.. because the show hardly ever aired on TV before that.
Overall, growing up, I'd rank it
Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon
Toon Disney
Cartoon Network
Disney
Lol.. yeah I consider myself a Nick kid too. Cartoon Network was second. Dexter's Lab and The Powerpuff girls. I grew to hate Disney for the most part.. besides a few shows like the one mentioned above and The Proud Family. I did love Even Stevens too. Probably my favorite live action kid show. Not sure if I'd make my kids watch that one or not.. lol.
I don't really watch any of those channels nowadays other than the All That reboot, & an occasional SpongeBob or Pokemon episode. Used to watch a lot of the Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network.
I don't watch them either.. a lot of modern cartoons have ugly animation.. mainly due to them using flash or whatever cheap computer programs to cut costs from traditional animation.
