In honor of the Super Bowl I'm going to watch figure skating. I've never enjoyed figure skating, but I figure the end justifies the means.

Disclaimer: For those who truly enjoy figure skating, I have no idea if it is on. My facetious declaration was meant in jest and not intended to arouse excitement in the aforementioned group.

I'd rather watch figure skating than the NFL..

I'm going to watch the game, but am looking even more forward to AO tennis that gets underway today.

We used to watch the competitions and followed the sport. I contemplated having Little Miss take lessons but the rigors are unappealing. Much like gymnastics, you sacrifice your childhood.

I mention that betting on NCAA odds this year is foolish (as is any gambling), look at the scores, and unranked Indiana has defeated #8 Iowa. And now a 6-12 Valparaiso team just won over a now 18-1 #25 Drake.

Semi curious to see what it will be like with all those cardboard cutouts.. Might watch some of it off and on.

I don't think I've watched the super bowl since the '80s. It's hard for me to remember the last time I was at some function or actually seeing it on TV. There's so much of worldly normal life I have missed out on, but I've never been a huge sports fan. Surfing is probably about the only thing I'll watch. I did for a little while watch a little bit of baseball when I came back from Japan.

I found my coverstitch machine last night. The price skyrocketed elsewhere with $500-600 dollar markups commonplace. It retailed for $299 before the pandemic. I’m looking at an $80 increase. Michael’s has it for $800.

The model is discontinued and the new one isn’t better. The reviews are spotty. I want to get accustomed to it before switching to a different brand. I’m trying to talk myself into it but I’m being cheap.

I just saw a brochure about a writing program for aspiring authors with a positive message. I’m familiar with them. My daughter had it in her room.

I guess I’m not off the hook. God’s humor and timing are hilarious.

One scene I remember was some skeleton hand coming out from under the bed.

Had that phobia for a time, too. Except it was my cat Sneakers' paw coming out to swipe me whenever I climbed into bed as a child and she had taken up residence under there.

I’m not a cat person, but cats are entertaining. I’ll never understand why two cats just sit there staring at each other, when one just slowly raises its hand to bop the other.

I’m a dog person too. I’m hoping to adopt when I get my own place, preferably something small-medium like a beagle.

Small dogs are the best!

We can't have dogs at my association
Which isn't presently a problem b/c I can't work in an office all day if no one's there to let a dog out. I would need gf/wife.....

My association allows cats tho. I've also considered a lizard or fish (had an aquarium growing up)

I murdered a lot of lizards when I was a kid, with the intention of keeping them alive as pets, I think that’s just too much work. Fish are slightly better, though probably still a bit of work. I don’t know how well I would get along with a cat. We’d either knock heads or completely ignore each other.
