I'm bad, I don't run as much as the experts advise, but the rest was neglected for so long.

I considered it but came to my senses. Cycling can be solitary but there’s a huge community. And events, challenges, and tourism too.

I'm confused. I thought you were on East Coast? They get snow there! Maybe you're in NC or SC?

I live in the Midwest. I’m partial to the East Coast. The Lord is sending me to Europe for school. I don’t know where I’ll end up when I’m done.

Aww, thank you. That's very nice.:relaxed:

You’re welcome. Anyone who enjoys golf, cycling, and the violin rates pretty high in my book. :ebil:

I've had lots of time to become more well-rounded & that's really helped. Maturing, too, like just getting older & getting more experiences.

It comes out in your writing. Especially in your comments on other topics and personal interests. You communicate well. ;)

There's really no reason I can't put it in album right now. :flushed: The profile pic, probably not ready yet.

You could do that. :D

I've been golfing a long time. I seem to be stuck at the level I'm at. I go w/ my brother. We try to go once a week during the summer. I'll see if he's interested in joining a league. He's at the same level I'm at. I tell him I'd like to join a league but want to get more consistent.

Excellent! You’ll have a blast. I may start praying for a golfer. I never meet a Christian man who’s into the game! I think you inspired me. :congrat:

I want to be a cowboy! :weary:
I don't hunt & fish tho. & I don't really want to.

You could have a homestead. Land, horses, and a working garden.

It is. I know it is. It's just sitting dormant or isn't very strong in me like my sister, parents, their parents, their parents parents.

A lot of my behavior is genetic. They were green thumbs who raised their own food, fished, preserved, and smoked meat and fish. They had a root cellar and smoker.

I’m in the self-sufficient camp. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole far enough to survive the unexpected.

That, & I don't think I could have a horse in my backyard! :flushed:

You can have chickens and goats. But they climb. :p

I'm not sure what she did! She showed them, rode them. So that. Whatever that entailed. My family boarded a horse. It was my dad's. He rode it all over town before it was a town. He was a cowboy!

How cool! Showing may relate to dressage. Then there’s jumping which demonstrates agility and the steeplechase.

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. :D

That's what going to a secular college did to me. I had wanted to go to a Christian college. There are a few in my city. But I guess God had other plans for me.

Probably. I never considered a Christian college. My life would have taken a different route. I like the one I’m on.

I know you would.

I have the potential to be a stay-at-home wife with lots of children. Little miss domesticity rears her head on occasion. :crosseo:

Sampa how u been?:D

How's God been working in your life, lol
Great to hear from you. Doing well, just gearing up for a mitten run with a friend and her daughter around the lakes in the next hour or so.

In a week or two I will begin a Daniel fast for 36 days. 47days I will be off social media and CF starting the 17th. So hopefully this will be a good quality time with the Lord like it was last year. I missed out on all the misinformation on social media last year when the pandemic hit. And overall was much better for it.

How are you? And how has your fellowship with the Lord been?

@SarahsKnight You’ve been quiet. Is everything okay? :)
Yes, I am. Thank you. The last two days at work were much better than before. Please pray with me that the Lord will be so gracious as to let those good days continue indefinitely. :)

Just haven't found anything to say around here, for some reason. i guess the lovely Erin fills so much of my mind right now that there isn't room for other news in my life to speak of ^_^, and I know you all must be sick of hearing about my crush by now. :D

I’m glad to hear things are improving. You’re usually more talkative but you’re entitled to time off.

Ice skating, I take it, Miss Sampa? :) Is that what they call a mitten run nowadays?

Every now and then I daydream about meeting the future love of my life in such a setting. The graceful ice-skating princess who captures my heart just from the mere sight of her performing a triple toe loop with ease. ^-^

Well we will miss you during that time, but good for you. Remember: focus on the Lord during it. That's the point of fasting.

I should do something like that, at least FaceBook. That reminds me, I need to be fasting once a week. I'll start now & 4:20pm tomorrow I can eat again.

I am doing well. The Singles ministry I was telling you about I wanted to join, that's going good. I think I'm building friendships there. I like going. No girl prospects (no single girls at all, actually :sob:), but not surprised at that :unamused:

Oh hello, Miss Multi. This is an unexpected surprise to see you here. ^-^

Well, i guess there is one thing I can say that is going on, although game-related and probably not suited to the interests of a lady such as Sampa, Multifavs, or Bella ^_^, but I did find a mod someone made for Resident Evil 4 that has kept me quite busy for several hours the last few days ... and I'm not even halfway through the game yet on this mode of difficulty, whereas a veteran like myself can complete a normal playthrough in less than five hours. This mod of Resident Evil 4 made it so that there are hordes of giants, prowling humanoid insects, and indestructible chainsaw-wielding mutants in every room of the game, even the rooms that were formerly safe from horror in the normal game. Basically every challenge against the forces of darkness that a Protector of the Angels like myself could ever hope for. :D

You might remember my mentioning of Resident Evil 4 in this post #8991, Miss @bèlla , in which I compared the formidability of your feminine charms to that of a TMP from that game. In this picture our young hero Leon Kennedy is facing off with one of the afore-mentioned giants. ^_^

What's on your mind?

I'd love to go ice-skating w/ a girl :relaxed:

Technically I did once a few years ago. With two lovely young ladies, actually.

.... But they were just the two girls from Italy and Thailand who my mother took in as foreign exchange students for their last year of high school, so I could only see them as little sisters of sorts ^_^, much like how I view my lady knight comrade whom you've just seen show back up here, Miss @Multifavs . Still speak with them on Facebook every now and again. Ever since I last saw her in person in 2017 when she came to my mother's house for a visit, the Italian sister Camilla is basically out there eating up life even more voraciously than Miss @bèlla seems to, if that were even possible. O_O
And my Thai sister Praew recently graduated college and became an engineer (in what field I do not remember).

What kind of sucked during that time I went skating with them is that I found any prowess I once held as a skater in my childhood, was completely lost. I never fell down that whole time, but for some reason I couldn't keep balance for any amount of time before my feet would buckle and turn inwards, pretty much making it so that I could not glide any substantial distance at all before having to slow and readjust. Guess I was just long out of practice and need to start doing this a lot more. ... And then maybe ten years from now you all will see me in the Winter Olympics. :D

I was inspired by Bernie and his mittens. So every once in a while I try to create a theme run for my friend and especially if the kids. This is the coldest I've ever been because I didn't have windbreaker pants on, and just leggings. The high winds off the lake didn't help and I almost thought about turning back around because of the chance of frostbite. It was 16° but felt like -1°. The the last part of the run was interesting because the sidewalks were not cleared and I was sort of running in a lane on a four lane road. I think we only had one angry honker. The 15-year-old that ran giggles whenever she sees me, I think she likes my creativity.

But we did have patches of ice and some pretty dangerous areas. The cars were actually nice to us and moved over. Part of the way we had to run through snow.

Below is a photo of some ice fishers on the lake.

actually I have thought of this. I would love to have one of those long coats and the tubular thing you see in those paintings from old days that the women put their arms in. I went ice skating as a kid and I'm sure I could Rock it. I was like one of the best with roller skating,

I should do something like that, at least FaceBook. That reminds me, I need to be fasting once a week. I'll start now & 4:20pm tomorrow I can eat again.

You sound optimistic. you can't lose with more time with the Lord and drawing close to Him. I am such a different person from 20 years ago because of it. And I started fasting as a regular thing about 10 years ago and that is where I think I had my greatest growth.

I will be praying for you... blessings to you

You just never know with me. I don't know what the game is about but I have gotten into games where I built kingdoms. I spent too much time and got away from it. It's not Christian but my father played dungeon & dragons with his childhood friends in a basement to the day that he passed away. Again I really don't know what the game is that you play but I definitely could get into that and have just chosen a different path for interest. The one game I could definitely invest time in would be anything with driving, I've always been good with driving games. Even Atari on ice. That's probably where I get my driving skills with a snow plow truck and other things. People have been always amazed how I can get a Honda Accord unstuck in the snow and other maneuvers I've pulled. Or unfortunately the speeds I've been able to pull off in slush and snow and such in my sedan. I pass most of the people that I had probably plowed snow with the night before. But it does come with risk and I have been very fortunate and the Lord has blessed me. My day could be coming and I need to be a lot more careful.

You take such beautiful pictures!

It might seem silly b/c it's freezing outside, but running in this kind of weather is almost the best for running!! As long as things are plowed & no ice!

Technically I did once a few years ago. With two lovely young ladies, actually.
I'm jealous :p

You seem like such a ladies man, BTW. ;)
& a gentleman :)

What kind of sucked during that time I went skating with them is that I found any prowess I once held as a skater in my childhood, was completely lost. I've actually only been ice skating once. Growing up, I roller skated. I was surprised how ice skating was almost exactly the same. It's almost easier b/c wheels are tough to stop.

I was an old pro. Just need to learn how to go backwards!

I want to play ice hockey..........

Oh hello, Miss Multi. This is an unexpected surprise to see you here. ^-^

I exclusively play older games, but RE4? That's a semi-older one! Was big when I was growing up. What system do you play it on? Mod, so computer I'm guessing?

I considered it but came to my senses. Cycling can be solitary but there’s a huge community. And events, challenges, and tourism too.

I've considered cycling clubs. IDK, tho. I know what my body needs & it needs to focus on weights. Cycling is just a hobby, something to do outside for fun.

I live in the Midwest. I’m partial to the East Coast. The Lord is sending me to Europe for school. I don’t know where I’ll end up when I’m done.
You'll probably stay there, many Americans find they like it better there, sadly. I imagine you'll meet some single man w/ a cute accent you like ;) He'll have traveled the world too, like you, maybe he studied in the States. That's what I think.

What do you study btw?

You’re welcome. Anyone who enjoys golf, cycling, and the violin rates pretty high in my book.

I think golf is big in Europe. It was invented there, at least, I think. The single man you meet there will be into it. It's big here too, I"m surprised you haven't met a Christian golfer man. (lol that's phrased funny but I don't want to fix it)

You could have a homestead. Land, horses, and a working garden.
I'd need a family for all that
clip_image002.png

A lot of my behavior is genetic. They were green thumbs who raised their own food, fished, preserved, and smoked meat and fish. They had a root cellar and smoker.

I’m in the self-sufficient camp. I’ve gone down the rabbit hole far enough to survive the unexpected.

:D

You can have chickens and goats. But they climb.
clip_image002.png
I'm not sure. The chickens could fit in quite well w/ the wild turkeys we have living in our association. The neighbors would just think the turkeys made friends w/ them. The goats too. I'm not sure if the neighbors would like chicken coops tho. If they allowed chickens & goats, then surely I could have a horse too.

I'd have to move.

How cool! Showing may relate to dressage. Then there’s jumping which demonstrates agility and the steeplechase.

Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era.
clip_image002.png
Same! As I was saying, I hate the reliance on tech. I wish we could still live off the land, grow our own food, build our own house, travel by horse, etc. I feel like a slave to tech.

Probably. I never considered a Christian college. My life would have taken a different route. I like the one I’m on.
I like my route too. I’m happy I was guided to the secular college. I can see experiences I had that God wanted me there, both for my life & other people's lives.

I have the potential to be a stay-at-home wife with lots of children. Little miss domesticity rears her head on occasion.
I want that!!! So hard finding that these days. I can sort of understand women want to have a backup in case something goes wrong, like the marriage/relationship goes horrible, but I wonder if that problem's over-exaggerated, especially if they have a part-time job in addition to being a mommy & housewife.

I have a friend who dumped his girlfriend b/c she wanted that. He didn't. He expected her to have a job too. She wanted to be a mommy & a housewife only. I'm like, 'Why Would You Dump Her, Dude???? She's perfect!!!' I told him I just have a problem when they don't even have that ambition. My last girl friend was like that. Another reason we basically ended our friendship (she just wanted things handed to her :unamused:)

A delivery saga required a much needed nap. I understand small packages, but how do you misplace a desk?

Two days have passed. The merchant is annoyed. I’m tired and the carrier keeps promising. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow.

So, I looked for towels instead. The reviews were lackluster at several stores. I suspect cotton quality is the issue (not being manufactured here) and the lack of loft and softness we’re accustomed to. I remembered a brand and will go with them for the time being.

That’s probably why I contemplated making my own linens. But its a timely project and I need to draft patterns over the break. Maybe I can put it on my todo list in the summer.

Tomorrow, I’d like to focus on my assignments but I need to work on the house. Ikea arrives Sunday and I may regret putting it off. :p

So, I’ll tackle the pieces for my room over the weekend and sew next week.

So, I saw one shoe in the road today. I have the same thought every time I see only one shoe in the road. "Who loses one shoe?" Then I consider the obvious. "It wasn't lost off of a foot. It must have fell off the back of a truck or something." Still, it is possible that there is somebody out there with one shoe wondering how they lost the other one. Possibly.

The busiest I’ve gotten during this mini quarantine is finally getting that somewhat troublesome PC put together. And school.

My new work shoes have pretty long laces, and sometimes I’m in such a rush, I just tuck the laces in my shoe...only to end up losing that shoe multiple times while unloading the truck.
