On my mother's side:
Grandmother: Celtic mutt, a bit of Welsh, but mostly Scottish: Campbell clan. A few other identifiable clans, too: Dunbar is among them, off the top of my head, but I'm closest to Campbell. Probably some Irish, too. As close as I can tell, my Campbell ancestors spent 2, maybe 3 generations in Ireland after being banished from Scotland, but before moving to America, so I'd guess a bit of Irish got mixed in there. My family tree ends (or, begins) at the first Campbell born in America, and the name of his father, so I don't know if they married the locals or if they wanted to keep their Scotish blood "pure" or something like that. Really doesn't matter, in my view, since they're all mostly the same mix--aboriginals, Celts and Saxons in varying proportions.

Grandfather: Dutch. Interesting story--when my uncle applied for college, the Dean of Admission recognized his last name and wrote back to him saying that he had done his thesis on our family. Or, more accurately, on our Dutch ancestors, who were actually the last remains of an aboriginal tribe that lived in Freisland--an island off the coast of the Neatherlands.

Father's side:

Grandmother--Mostly German, and some Native American. I have no idea which tribe.

Grandfather--Orphaned, found and adopted, so there's no way of really knowing. Having seen some pictures of him, though, I would bet on Ashkenazi Jew.
