Yeah. If I don't have coffee, I get headaches. It's terrible. (Truth, though, as I age this isn't as true as it used to be. But, when I cut down from a full pot (about 6 large cups) to half, I was tired for a month. And, I did get headaches.)
The idea that nicotine might increase my focus is appealing. (I've been diagnosed with a degree of ADHD.) There have been long periods of my life where getting anything done was difficult. I'd've been willing to try it but for two things: 1) my work place banned it (for asthma sufferers), and 2) I've increasing realized I don't like fussing with paraphernalia. I like my pipe better than a cigar, but I find I smoke once or twice a year; a cigar is just easier even if a little harsher.
As such, I'd be willing to try a vape if I thought it would help. And, I'm egotistical enough to think I could manage "micro-dosing" and minimizing addiction. (Some people, like my father, seem to have a resistance to it. He and my mother alleged that dad gave up cigarettes cold turkey with no problem when he married my mother.)
In short, nicotine, I think, just isn't as significant as the current pearl-clutching of the media makes it out to be.
