"Universalism Was Condemned and Defeated In 553 A.D. At The The Fifth Ecumenical Council"

This error will be corrected at the Second Coming of Christ, when he begins to restore all things.

Wouldn't that be true of the first Church counsel, aka the Counsel of Jerusalem in Acts 15? The results of that counsel were presumed to be from the Holy Spirit, and all of the people participating in it likewise were fallible. It's kind of like the saying that "the whole is greater than just the sum of the parts."
This would apply if we said that all councils are equal. Instead, the claim is that some councils are "ecumenical" while others are not. The number of councils that are considered "ecumenical" differs from one group of churches to another. I think Catholics count 21 while Anglicans count only 4. So, the whole thing boils down to "our fathers who selected 9 councils are more infallible than your fathers who selected only 8 councils" or vice versa.

Not true, the Orthodox Church does not consider the Council of Jerusalem to be less valuable than the Ecumenical Councils.

Hasn't He already begun?
In a sense, yes. But then in earnest.

1 Corinthians 15:22-25
For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 23 But each in turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. 24 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

Still, EO approve more councils than Anglicans and less councils than Catholics. The point is that each group has a different list that is approved by their infallible fathers.

Right. They can't all possibly be infallible. (actually none of them can be)

and everyone of them gets rehashed on CF :(

This is the unfortunate result of every person going into Scripture meaning well and seeking Truth and mistaking their thoughts and impressions for God's leading. It seems like an awesome idea; just stick with Scripture. What could go wrong? Thousands of denominations later, we should all be wondering if perhaps something isn't right here.

Scripture, ultimately, was never meant to be read outside of the guidance and inspiration of the Church. This is why, despise our best efforts, our attemps to re-construct Apostolic Christian faith and praxis using only Scripture fall short, and can not agree.

All mankind are "in Adam" because we are all physical descendants of Adam but all mankind are not "in Christ." One must be "in Christ" to be made alive.

Before Protestantism came on the scene, there were denominations that were not in communion together. There would have been even more sects if those considered heretics were not suppressed by imperial decree and inquisition. So, which version of the pre-Protestantism doctrine should we believe?

Even recently, consider the excommunications between the patriarchates of Moscow and Constantinople.

Every group pre-Protestant considered themselves "The One Truth Church". There was no Enlightenment idea of "branch theory".

And both patriarchates are still part of the Church so don't try to use that argument.

Because a lot of people want to be their own Pope. Even I wanted to be one.

When I do not accept a council of men that professes to be the wisdom of God I am free to keep my ears open towards the wisdom of God rather than the authoritarian dictates of some group of men.

Blind authoritarianism is very irrational and thus not like the wisdom of God at all.

For one thing, a council of a few people does not equal an entire church.

The Bishops from Apostolic Succession were present and were guided by The Holy Spirit.

So, we can word it like this :

The Heresy / Concept / Idea that the punishment of demons and of impious men is only temporary, and will one day have an end, and that a restoration will take place of demons and of impious men Was Defeated and Condemned In 553 A.D. At The The Fifth Ecumenical Council

The Bishops from Apostolic Succession were present and were guided by The Holy Spirit.
Who decided that the Holy Spirit guided them?

How about:

Synod of the Oak in 403
Second Council of Ephesus in 449
Third Council of Ephesus in 475
Council of Devin in 506

Did the Holy Spirit guide the bishops from Apostolic Succession in these Councils?

Did the Holy Spirit guide the bishops from Apostolic Succession in the 14 Catholic Councils that followed the great Schism?

You shouldn't say that Councils are infallible when you reject all these Councils.

Or is it that your infallible Fathers decided the Holy Spirit was not in the Councils you reject?
