  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

The Australian Prime Minister called to congratulate the new President-Elect of the USA to congratulate him. Its been four miserable years having to deal with an inept leader of an ally that had become completely erratic and unreliable.

Your post gives the false impression that The Australian Prime Minister said something that if you read the article he did not say, I think we get enough of that from the msm they do not need any help.

Not really. His post gives the impression that the Prime Minister called to congratulate. And that the poster thinks Trump's inept. Not sure what exactly is the false impression here.

The poster below is correct. The Australian PM congratulated Pres_Elect Biden. What followed were my views as an Australian.

Your views are the same as a lot of American. And world leaders. But world leaders won't speak ill of Trump. I'm sure like most people. They feel Trump should have never been president. I hope stricter laws on becoming president happen. Electing someone like Trump should never happen again.

I don't believe there can be stricter laws without a constitutional amendment. The states regulate how elections are carried out. The parties decide on there vetting process -- now that could be made stricter since they have the authority to decide on how the party is run.

I'm talking about IQ, lie detector and mental test. They must have experience in politics. Complete back ground checks. Before they can run for president.

Sure. But, I'm saying that you can't pass those laws (as a nationwide thing) without amending the constitution which has set out the requirements. A party could, however.

Well, when a party appeals to the lowest common denominator, they shouldn't be too surprised when they get trump.

Given trump's popularity amongst his base I don't see the Republicans aiming any higher in the candidates they pick in the future.
