Yes you are. By saying that society should not treat them the way they would like they are forced back into the box that is mentally unhealthy for them.
WHAT I ACTUALLY DID SAY IS THAT IT IS UNREALISTIC TO GO UP TO EVERYONE I MEET IN A GIVEN DAY AND ASK THEM HOW THEY SEE THEMSELVES GENDER WISE SO THAT I KNOW HOW I AM SUPPOSE TO RESPOND TO THEM....I EVEN CLARIFIED THAT POSITION WITH AN ILLUSTRATION.
If they do go through their transformation, at what stage would you expect to call them by their chosen gender? Or are you always going to call them by their birth gender?
according to the lang. we are part of, if I do not change word meanings. (notice I did not say what I personally would do, only what lang. dictates) they are their given gender before transition, during transition they are either male pronoun because it can be used when gender is unknown or it. After transition the noun would change to the chosen gender. That is what the pronouns imply. For example, in our lang. he/his/him refer to a person with male genitals. She/her/ refer to a person with female genitals, it refers to not knowing the gender he is also used when gender is not know. But the real issue is that you keep asking me to ask everyone I meet what gender they want to be called which is an insane argument to make.
Hello, how are you today...foul, before you address me ask what gender I want to go by....
really, that is just crazy talk. More times than not, in everyday life, the issue of gender never comes up, so why would I change the way society closes their eyes to gender in order to make it an issue when your all upset about it being an issue? That doesn't make any sense.
At what point will you stop putting your expectations on them?
What expectations? That is the whole point I am making. There are no expectations, and it is only an issue if you want to be offended by something. If I see you out and about, I treat you exactly like I treat everyone else. It's just like on the forums, I don't enter a conversation by asking everyone what gender they wish to be addressed as before we start talking, that is like crazyness, so crazy in fact, I can't figure out why you would even try to make the argument in your posts...but hey, no skin off my nose, have at it, just not an argument I will buy into. I refuse to ask everyone what gender they want to be called when I meet then on the street or pay for my groceries.
