Just as a matter of interest & information, many animals, particularly birds, are much cleverer than they've been given credit for here. Many animals show various levels of self-awareness, theory of mind, learning by example, etc.

Corvids (crows, rooks, jays, magpies, etc) can make tools, understand and practise deception, plan for the future, and grasp simple physics. See The Brains of the Animal World.

Parrots & cockatoos are also pretty smart - here's some lock-picking birds, and then, of course, the late, lamented African Grey parrot Alex, who was estimated to have intelligence at the level of a five year old child (counting, distinguishing & naming shapes, colours, and materials, and asking questions and making verbal statements).

The more we look, the more we find that what we once thought were uniquely human traits are actually not uncommon in other species - even species without vertebrate central nervous systems, like octopuses.

Most people don't. What trips up some people is their own belief that a literalized Bible = God.

So evolution may kick out their concept of God, and they're unwilling/unable to think of God as anything else.

Speaking of remains to be seen, it remains to be seen if that monkey show was natural, and widespread, or set up. Did anyone teach them that and stick rocks together there, and drop nuts? Would chimps all over do this? Etc. That is hardly making tools, it is using some.

Correct, we not are descended from monkeys. We share common ancestors with them. It would indeed be a gross error to teach that we are descended from monkeys.

I'm talking about my peers at a Catholic university, and also my Catholic high school. Majority are Catholic.

It's like this. By Him all things were made, and without Him was not anything made that was made. God created man. Put him in a garden He planted. Created woman from his rib..etc. The big bang and some magic first lifeform spawning all life on earth is very much incompatible with all that.

For others, the ability to discern Satanic lies and falsely called science from truth would be considered a good education. Education alone is garbage anyhow, without God! What is to deny. Some cameras were st up in area where chimps were, and a lot of stones were there too. Does this tell us most chimps do this? No. You need more.
