• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Okay, people, let's just put good old Indrid on ignore. I do this when a poster doesn't have anything useful to add to the conversation.
Good advice, sis

:groupray: for all the awesome women of God in this thread

theological conservative?
Mostly, enough so that I fit the definition we've adopted, even if just barely because of the social issues. That's why I joined, though I had to think hard about it. I'm still not sure about this place. It has such potential, yet far too much dramarama and strife, and I find that hard to take.

politically conservative?
Very much so, in a libertarian way. Sometimes I think I'm one of the last remaining Goldwater conservatives.

socially conservative?
Not so much. If we stuck to just social stuff and stayed away from theology and politics, I'd be moderate, neither liberal nor conservative.

Not everyone will agree from conservative perspective however we can agree essential conservative views that are listed in the "Conservative Christian Statement of Beliefs and Rules 09-26-07"
Exactly!:amen:

lol no, I actually was going to post it as a joke later, but just kinda felt a little numb.

I have a healthy sense of humor... even tho it's twisted at times heh. :p

I want to eat all the time now. I don't know why that happens when I'm pregnant. I'm not even hungry but I want to eat.

So I hope you've eaten something finally. There's some good talk of caramel corn or kettle corn in one of the debate threads. That made me want to eat some, even though I just finished off a bag of pizza rolls.

I have a special request from some of you.

I am kindly asking that if this going to turn into an open door of what I think might be coming, I ask that you guys step in and handle the problems that mite come from this.?? :sorry:
If Indrid is any indication of what's ahead, I am not happy. :sigh:

I know you can't be around for every incident, but I'm concerned.
And what rules are there or can be made so this type of thing doesn't become a norm?
I am willing to work with this, but I would like some protections in place or something to curb this stuff. (another thread is flaring up with another problem).:swoon:

I've never been pregnant, so I have no help, info or advice there lol.
I'm a health nut, so I don't eat most stuff that tastes good. LOL
Basically, splurging for me amounts to about pouring a bowl of Life cereal. :sorry: :tutu: :swoon:

Popcorn's always good tho :holy:

Nadiine, I gotta tell you, when I first saw your profile pic, I thought it was just something you got off the net...but I just now realised it's you! It's really a beautiful picture! You look like a famous country music singer...which kinda surprised me being where you're from and all.... :p :D

If I may, and if I may not then please feel free to delete this post, but I don't believe that there is any desire on the part of WWMC that I have witnessed to be united with CCF beyond our fellowship through Christ.

We may seek each other out in attempts at friendship and understanding, but I doubt, seriously honestly, truly doubt that there is any effort of any kind to forge a union of the two groups.

These are my own observations. I do not pretend to speak on behalf of the whole of WWMC.

Nadine, aside from reporting stuff that violates the rules, all you can do is put people like Indrid on ignore. I did, and I'm a much happier person now because his posts aren't dragging me down.

This is my fourth pregnancy, third in three years. I've sorta gotten used to the odd food cravings and such, but since they change with each pregnancy, it's a little hard. This pregnancy the cravings are for bagel bites and pizza rolls. Thank goodness for Sam's Club!!

I love Life cereal, but I really like the cinnamon flavor the best. I've actually sat down and ate half the box before - not a wise move, let me tell you!

And while Chaos is here, Nadiine, if I may, this is a good demonstration of what I feel is allowable fellowship. Chaos has added his thoughts to your splurging comment. He is not debating, he is not arguing. He is fellowshipping in friendship. THAT, to me, is what I want to see between the perceived "us and them" factor.

Just those few squares enlarged to take up the whole bottom of the bowl! They expand so big!! lol

Why not put blame where it belongs
If I may...? I think maybe the "" was cos of another battle starting up, not cos of anything you said :)

I know he is preacherswife. I saw it right at the start. Ya know, I've been debating and in chat ministry for 10+ (closer to 11) years now, I've seen it all - all the tactics, the 'hidden inuendos' that we KNOW we're doing (both sides yes) --
I know what I see immediately.

My point was, why not seal up a leak rather than have to use bubble gum on a hole :p - when i use ignore, I lose information and the whole jist of what's happening around me.

I know what you mean, it's just that it hinders my actual purpose/ministry by missing what's happening in the big picture.
I'd just seek a loophole to be sealed & solve the problem that way. lol
& baiting IS in the rules and is a violation.

Anyhoo, thank you for your kindness  I'll have to check out those pizza rolls when i'm at the store next lol
Bagels.. WITH cream cheese?
(this is making me HUNGRY):yum:

I had all sorts of answers in my head, kept coming out totally wrong and horrible and such..... I am a guest in your forum, and I'm trying to get away from being mean nasty and horrible in general

I can only think of this analogy. My supervisor at work always says to us after an incident "what did you do differently that could have contributed to *name deleteds* melt down. Ok, so there are times when the incidents just happen, however more often that not, we can pin point a clients melt down to something different that we as staff has done.

Sometimes we need to look at how our own behavoir exacerbates the situation.

Take from that what you will
