I had some charismatic guy online try to cast out demons from me. These demons supposedly were depression and anxiety. However this guy only fueled my mental problems. He was also very dishonest. He goaded me into answering a question i didnt want to answer then he reported me to staff.

If being charismatic is believe in being filled with the Holy spirit, and the gifts... then there is nothing wrong with that, even if someone called me a charismatic because of this, is not an insult of some sort, i believe in this things, but if someone is being careless or a bad person no matter what they group they belong they are still bad.
I think there a lot of supposed charismatics not doing correctly out there, but again if being charimatic is believing in some of these things the bible talks about...

Paul didnt ask for healing ..he asked for a tormenter to be removed from him .he said God sent it to buffet him to keep him from being too proud because of the level of revelation he had recieved .
He described it as a thorn in his side.

People often say .oh that person is a thorn in my side...
Everyone knows they mean that person causes them grief and trouble everytime they come by..
No one ever says oh ...are you sick. Lol

But ONLY ONLY from the bible do people equate a thorn in the side to be illness..never ever do they do that in any other scenario.

That is what Tom, Dick and Harry are doing, claiming to be apostles, saints, disciples, what not? If you shut your eyes and close your ears they may claim to be Jesus also!

Those were the words of Jesus. You don't care about them because they are coming in the way of your self-claims, right? What else are you? An angel?

All Apostles had to either walk with Jesus, walk with one of His chosen Apostles, or seen the risen Lord, so non qualified to be such for today!

This is not an accurate list non of those are requirements for the apostles after the resurrection.

And what verse are you trying to use to say all apostles have to see the risen Lord?

Jesus never answered anybody like that.

Paul explains fully what his thorn in the flesh was, a messenger of Satan sent to buffet him. Stonings, beatings, shipwrecks etc

...he was not sick, a sick man could not have endured his lifestyle.

That thorn was given for the purpose of keeping Paul humble in view of his many visions and spiritual attainments...

God's grace IS sufficient for a Christian to endure anything...but it is not a reason for not expecting God to heal.

He took our sins on the cross, He carried our sicknesses and bore our pains on the cross.

So why don't you apply that argument to sin? actually some folks do...they say Paul had a sin which he could not get victory over...oh dear.

Paul told Timothy to take some wine to help his stomach, did not sound like a divine healing to me, nor was paul healed of his ailment, but was given abundant grace to endure!

We believe in medicine...you did well to strain this gnat out, you can't weigh this and few other cases against the whole weight of bible testimony

Cut all the miracles out of the gospels and acts and see what bible you have left.

Cut the gifts out of the letter to the Corinthians.

Society today lives under the doctrines of the enlightenment, where everything spiritual is distained. That's not just the existence of God, but angels, demons, gifts, and miracles etc.

That's why people, including Christians, are so cynical about spiritual gifts and deliverance from demons. You grow up under that unspiritual western paradigm, which you then imported into your bible studying.

In complete contrast, the third world has no trouble in understanding the scriptures regarding demons because their society lives with such things as a daily fact of life. Thankfully, the darkness of the "enlightenment" never reached that far to rob them of the ministry of deliverance.

In Jesus's time, it was much like the third world is today. People were completely aware of what demons did to destroy lives both mentally and physically, and regularly asked Jesus to cast them out, and heal them. Which he did all the time without questioning the veracity of their diagnosis.

My point being that there was no need to teach about demons as they were around just like the common cold.
The disciples had been casting them out from the beginning, long before Pentecost, therefore, as the demons were still around, driving them out would continue as before. It was one of the most basics of Christian ministries that all believers could and should do, even today.
That demons were still a problem to Christians is shown in various places.-

Much of the so called third world living under paganism and superstition, so really need to have the Gospel of Jesus preached to them in order to set them free from bondage to things in their minds!

No need to cast out demons from a saved person, but that person having mental issues can turn to the sacred scriptures and find relief for worry and doubts!

I never for one moment said Paul's theology of the cross was demonic.
But every last thing Paul taught was the antithesis of your cessationism.

Strange that you would say that though, as Paul Himself saw Jesus as delivering all of the saved out from Kingdom of darkness into His own Kingdom of light, and no need for a deliverance ministry for them!
