Well, thats the luxury of having a new 250 gig hardrive nadroj
Woah, 250 gigs? Those things exist? Awesome!

Yeah I'm also surprised they played wavery park, Mostly because It's such a **** venue. I agree with your setlist If they do a stadium tour. The MCG would be fantastic! I don't think anyone has done a Gig there in years. And as for the Adelaide oval, I think It's called the Adelaide football ground If memory serves me. whats the Gabba like?
It'll definitely be a stadium tour - look at the last arena tour, that was Lovetown and the demand since then has grown astronomically. Adelaide Oval, that's it, and yeah, I've heard it called Football Park or something too. I really hope they play the MCG, that'd be a massive concert and it'd really go off. Where have big acts played lately? I heard that the acoustics aren't so good in the Telstra Dome. I've been to some cricket at the 'Gabba and loved it - my mother goes to every Lions game there and thinks its one of the best venues she's ever been to. I think it'd make an awesome place to hold a concert.

I've never heard of the full show on video, Some others have an extended version with half of "I will follow" and thats all I've heard of. I just watched some more of the Sweden pro-shot and It looks ****. At the start It looked good, but the picture was a golden color, as the concert started It never went to the right color.
Yeah, I've heard rumours of a full video but nothing substantial. Bah! I'd love a ful one. Oooh, you're downloading the Senia version of the Sweden proshot. Three versions exist: a black and white one, the one you're downloading, and a very rare full colour version.

Yeah, It's good. Not perfect, but better than I expected and watchable. The person I was downloading It from has disappeared! But there Is a search engine at the hub to continue downloading where it left off from someone else. So It should be finished in a day or so... The Warsaw video has will be finished 5 minutes from now. So you can download now.
At least it's watchable! I'd heard conflicting statements about the quality, mostly from people who hadn't seen it and were passing on what they'd heard secondhand. I hope someone else shows up with it! I'm dying to see that, I love that gig so much. Cool that the Warsaw video's done! I'll download that, I've currently got Glasgow '93 on the go (where Bono makes Edge play Lost Highway!) and the Rotterdam DVD's at 95%. It'll be done when I get up in the morning.

CDI, DVE, the miracle of chromakey
I've never understood what he's going on about there ...

Mmm.. they got balls, bats, poncy shoes. Might be a rock and roll band
I love that bit! It's hilarious. The poor cricketers, hehe. It's funny how I recognise the commentators and Damien Martyn!

I'm really turning into a fanatic, I shouldn't be like this at my age :sigh: and I really don't have the time.
Heh, I don't have the time for anything else considering my fanaticism! I don't see the problem with a healthy dose of fanaticism, and so what about age? I just wish I'd been a fanatic earlier ... so much to catch up on!

Thanks for clearing up the story of the Sandal Scandal. I don't see how anyone could turn the lads away!

Also, I just realised I love Bono's ability with accents, like how with The Fly in Sydney he does a great Aussie accent, and then there's MacPhisto. I love the Lemon falsetto!

Hi Axver,

I love stadium tours! and I hope they have a bigger screen than popmart and some sort of light show, that would be awesome! As for the big acts I think they mostly play rod laver arena or telstra dome, your right that the acoustics aren't so good there. If U2 play either of those 2 venues I'm going to Queensland to watch them play, hopefully the Gabba.

Well I have just finished fully downloading Sarejavo, There Is a cool part during Miss Sarejavo when Brian Eno comes on the little stage. Cool you finished the DVD as well, Good, tell me what you think. I think It's an excellent show myself. I have the Glasgow '93 somewhere, I haven't heard It yet though.

Oh... And I haven't uploaded the Sao polo concert vcd yet because I found someone with the DVD and I have downloaded a chapter about 500 meg and the Quality Is absolutely brilliant!!!!! It's about the same as the Mexico tape, But the Sao polo concert I way better!! I'm really  because someone is uploading from me and my download speeds have have gone right down from 40 kpbs to 2 kpbs and they are getting all my bandwidth  . Well thats the problem with file sharing, I just wish It was more equal. Once I have the DVD I'll upload It to you, I'll upload the Sarejavo Show as soon as I get the chance. And I have uploaded some wallpaper and Avatars as well. Do you like my new Avatar? I love that Mofo hood he wears!!! I love it!

Same here! Have you ever noticed how he puts on an American accent during the last three lovetown Dublin shows? Somewhere he says "Everyone's going to America, I don't, I like it right here" and he puts on the American accent at the start of Desire "Greed, greed is good!" why did he say that? and during God part2 don't know which show, He goes "Yo,This is so swell!" Is It just me or did he really put on an American accent during those last three concerts? I think he sounded different. But It sounded fun.

I'll be back later today :)

I'm planning to go to all their east coast shows, and if they don't go to NZ, then I'll go to Adelaide as well. A huge stadium tour would be amazing, I really hope they do it. Rod Laver? Didn't they play a number of concerts there on Lovetown? I don't think it'd be big enough.

Well I have just finished fully downloading Sarejavo, There Is a cool part during Miss Sarejavo when Brian Eno comes on the little stage. Ah, OK. Heh, the Lost Highway bit during Glasgow is funny. The Sarajevo audio bootleg is my equal favourite with Red Rocks, so I absolutely cannot wait to see the video of it! Thanks so much for uploading it!

And I haven't uploaded the Sao polo concert vcd yet because I found someone with the DVD and I have downloaded a chapter about 500 meg and the Quality Is absolutely brilliant!!!!! It's about the same as the Mexico tape, But the Sao polo concert I way better!!
Oooh wow, that is cool! Annoyingly, the Rotterdam DVD isn't done yet! It must've slowed last night and all today it's sat on 96% and just crept to 97%. It's not as if it's going slowly either. I'm a bit annoyed about that because I was really looking forward to watching it today! I don't understand why they released Mexico City when there were definitely better concerts in South America, but then again, considering the quality of Mexican bootlegs, I'm glad they did release it! Only 3 of the 4 ZooTV concerts exist in bootleg form and aren't good (I'm listening to 24-11-92 right now), while the first Popmart concert is poor too. Gah, those Mexican tapers! If it weren't for the second Popmart show being taped, it'd probably be really bad audience too.

I'm really  because someone is uploading from me and my download speeds have have gone right down from 40 kpbs to 2 kpbs and they are getting all my bandwidth  . Well thats the problem with file sharing, I just wish It was more equal.
That's really annoying! But yeah, I suppose that's what you get. I wish it was programmed so that things were equally distributed.

Do you like my new Avatar? I love that Mofo hood he wears!!! I love it!
Very cool! I like the Mofo hood too. I also liked your Discotheque one. Some avatars I've made are on my LiveJournal here - check out the one down the bottom from the I Will Follow video! I made it last night, it's absolutely hilarious. Go early U2, go! I couldn't believe how well/hysterical it turned out.

Same here! Have you ever noticed how he puts on an American accent during the last three lovetown Dublin shows? Somewhere he says "Everyone's going to America, I don't, I like it right here" and he puts on the American accent at the start of Desire "Greed, greed is good!" why did he say that? and during God part2 don't know which show, He goes "Yo,This is so swell!" I've noticed a bit of that too, and also what about when he recites the poem during Streets on the 26th? It doesn't sound like him! I reckon the "greed is good" bit is irony, really a hint of what was to come in ZooTV. Some of Lovetown was definitely a hint of what was to come - look at She's A Mystery To Me, "If my love is blind, then I don't want to see." Love Is Blindness, anyone? Right, I need to go. Have a good one!

I'm happy to say I'v had ownerhsip onf the Slane concert on DVD for a few days now. I've been playing it over and over...It's AMAZING.
Before then, I had the CBS special that aired on Thanksgiving, but they
didnt air the whole concert, and theyedited out the cool bits in Sunday Bloody Sunday. Although I do wish the DVD included the little interview wnippets they showed in the Special. But other than thta, it's FANTASTIC.

For me, the highlights of the show were:

-Until the End of the World performance . Loved the part where Bono gives Edge a big kiss on the cheek, and when they battle it out on the catwalk.
- Transition from All I Want is You to Streets. Being that
All I Want is You was cut from the special, I missed out on this. It's beautiful.
-Bullet the Blue Sky performance. Wow. Utterly breathtaking. Edges screaming guitar vocal is spellbinding , I loved the part where Bono shone the strobe light on the audience. Also, the part where Bono sings "Outside...Its America." His voice makes an eerie echoing sound that's hairaising.
- The part in Sunday Bloody Sunday where Bono shouts out the names of the Omagh bombing victims,("Twenty-nine people, too many.") and the part where he says "Compromise, it's not a dirty word. Compromise."
-"Oh look Edge, a beach ball. " LoL.

Is it just me or did the guys seem to have an amazing amount of tolerance with all the stuff that was thrown at them? Especially Bono, as he got the brunt of it. A Beach ball was constantly in the air, and at one point in SBS it bounces off of Bono's back, toilet paper ensares him, and he gets doused with water. Not to mention all the flags that were thrown on the catwalk.
Looks like the audience was having a good time.

But yeah, I loved it. The boys were obviously enjoying it just as much was the audience was, and thats the way it should be.

Janine, I finished downloading the Rotterdam DVD, and WOW! I'm stunned. I never knew Bono did that awesome singing for the intro, I thought it was taped! The UTEOTW --> WGRYWH link is awesome, TTTYAATW is just so cool, and I love it how he forgets the words to Dancing Queen. "Something, something, something, you're in the mood for dance"! And what about that major stuff-up during ISHFWILF? Oh, I could go on forever.

Awesome! I've got two copies of Slane myself, haha. How absolutely amazing is it? I too have that U2's Beautiful Day special, it was aired on Christmas Day 2002 here, and it's interesting to note that the "for Bob Hewson" before Walk On is cut from the full DVD. And yeah, those little interviews are really cool.

- Transition from All I Want is You to Streets. Being that

The Vox sure still has his vox.

It's a wonderful performance, but for an INSANE Bullet The Blue Sky: 11 June 1992, Stockholm. Edge just goes nuts on the solo. 5 March 1992, Atlanta is also incredible, where Bono throws a fit at the end, yelling "Shut the f*** up!" four times.

-"Oh look Edge, a beach ball. " LoL.
That's such a hilarious moment, along with "All I want is f***in' you, man." I made a LiveJournal icon out of the beach ball scene;

1144454

I have a heap of other U2 LJ icons here. My two favourites are down the bottom - one from the I Will Follow video and the other of Edge jumping up and down during UTEOTW, 15 June 1992.

I think they were all having a heap of fun. The toilet paper scene is great, especially how Bono nearly starts laughing during the song. I think he'd rather appreciate the water, and what about the huge inflatable hammer and bottle of Guinness?! Those are wonderful.

Say 11 O'clock Tick Tock if you want to make me happy.

Neenie, you know the Rotterdam ZooTV DVD? I'd like to upload it to the FTP for a friend of mine, but I can't quite figure out how. Could you please tell me how it's done?

Hi Axver,

I told you It's good! It has a feel of actually being there.. It certainly took a while to downloading It hehe. I'm still downloading the Sao Paulo DVD and I say It Is the the best video I have ever seen! even better than slane! and mexico, It's so cool that I found someone to download It from because It's very rare, I actually had goosebumps at the start of It! I've only downloaded about 30% Still a long way to go.....I have also downloaded most of the Buenos Aires video and some of the Edmonton pro-shot. Axver I have only uploaded some of the Sarejevo show about 40%. Sorry I've been to busy downloading. I'll try and do it this weekend.

These are the Popmart videos I have, or just about.

1. 1997-04-25 Las Vegas, NV, USA. (pro-shot)

2. 1997-06-15 Edmonton, Canada (pro-shot)

3. 1997-07-19 Rotterdam, Netherlands (partial) (pro-shot)

4. 1997-09-23 Sarajevo, Bosnia

5. 1997-12-03 Mexico City (pro-shot)

6. 1998-01-31 Sao Paulo, Brazil (pro-shot)

7. 1998-02-06 Buenos Aires, Argentina (pro-shot)

8. 1998-02-11 Santiago, Chile (pro-shot)

9. 1998-03-21 Johannesburg, South Africa (pro-shot)

I certainly believe Popmart was such a better concert than the Elevation tour, and the songs sounded better live, I wish I went to it! I think they needed to do the Elevation tour though. Everyone wanted the old U2 back.

Excellent mix! Though I wouldn't have Sixty "Seconds In Kingdom Come" on my list. "A Sort Of Homecoming" Is the best on your list.

It's really easy, you just cick on the local folder bar or the local folder while your on the uploads section of the ftp. Search what you want to upload, then copy and paste it to the uploads.

Hope that helps :)

Nice to see you around Indigo tree! My favorite part of the slane DVD is walk on!

Axver the first pt of the Sarejevo show Is now completed, 650 meg. I'll do second pt this weekend. I apologize for not coming here to reply earlier, I was taking a break from the old thread, But now I have U2 roaring up inside me again! :pink:
Ah, that's alright. Thanks so much for uploading Sarajevo, I'll go download it now. That Popmart in Poland video is really cool, I just wish the whole show would leak out! Wow, that would be incredible if it did.

I'm still downloading the Sao Paulo DVD and I say It Is the the best video I have ever seen! even better than slane! and mexico, It's so cool that I found someone to download It from because It's very rare, I actually had goosebumps at the start of It! Oooh, awesome! I've heard that it's really good. I didn't realise it's rare, though. Heh, you've definitely got a stack of downloads going there! The Edmonton one would be really cool. That Buenos Aires one is really good, I have it on CD. Though I haven't watched it in ages. You've got some pretty cool Popmart videos there, I didn't realise there was one of Las Vegas. That's got to be good!

I certainly believe Popmart was such a better concert than the Elevation tour, and the songs sounded better live, I wish I went to it! I think they needed to do the Elevation tour though. Everyone wanted the old U2 back.
I have favourite elements from both tours and can't really pick which was better. On Popmart, they were rockstars playing awesome music on such a cool stage, but on Elevation they were ordinary guys having a heap of fun. So I don't know. Both were fantastic.

Though I wouldn't have Sixty "Seconds In Kingdom Come" on my list. "A Sort Of Homecoming" Is the best on your list.
I know a lot of people dislike Sixty Seconds In Kingdom Come, but I don't see the problem with it. Not the best, but still a nice song. A Sort Of Homecoming is STUNNING. WHAT A SONG!

It's really easy, you just cick on the local folder bar or the local folder while your on the uploads section of the ftp. Search what you want to upload, then copy and paste it to the uploads.
Cool, thanks! I have the DVD uploading now. Woo!

Sadly, I don't actually have Passengers. I love Your Blue Room and Miss Sarajevo, but I haven't heard anything else from it. I do have MP3s of the Miss Sarajevo b-sides, though, and I quite like the instrumental of Zoo Station.

does anyone have the Salome outtakes? I used to have the entire mp3 collection before my computer crashed. The song Salome sounds like an early version of Zoo Station. I really love the songs "heaven and hell" "doctor doctor" and "jitterbug baby" is about the strangest song i have ever heard. i'm surprised i never hear other u2 fans talk about what a great song "heaven and hell" is.

I have the Passengers album My favorite would have to be "slug" weird name but one of U2's most erotic songs. When I first heard It I listened to it over and over for months. I also like "United Colors " which Is defiantly a trippy song and so is Theme From Let's Go Native.

The sarejevo upload is finished, I'll reply to you latter today Axver.

You have a video of Heaven And Hell? Personally, I LOVE Take You Down - Bono's double vocals combined with the best Fly riff I've ever heard makes for a brilliant song. I also like the instrumental EBTTRT and I Feel Free. Going Down South has to be one of the weirdest things ever.

The sarejevo upload is finished
Awesome! I'm downloading the first one now. Sigh, eight hours to go.

I think you mean Take Me To The Clouds Above, I forget who it's by (LMC?). It's HORRIBLE, I agree. I didn't even buy the single ... though I think I will someday, to fill in the blanks in my collection. I have what Musique did to New Year's Day, and while it's not what I'd call 'good', it's at least better than that Take Me To The Clouds Above rubbish. Nice way to butcher With Or Without You there.

That Buenos Aires one is really good, I have it on CD. Though I haven't watched it in ages. You've got some pretty cool Popmart videos there, I didn't realise there was one of Las Vegas. That's got to be good!

The picture Is good! Iv'e had It for while, and It's on vhs, Though It Is the worst concert I have heard them perform. :sorry: They didn't have much rehearsals. As for the sao-polo dvd I think it is rare because hardly anyone has It on the hub, maybe because It has just been made or something.

I have favourite elements from both tours and can't really pick which was better. On Popmart, they were rockstars playing awesome music on such a cool stage, but on Elevation they were ordinary guys having a heap of fun. So I don't know. Both were fantastic.

We shall see what the future holds...

Sheesh.... There Isn't much to discus now since wev'e covered a bit on this thread. We need new U2 news! even If It's made made up rumors.

Yes I do, and It's a great video! I have goldmine of Music video's, and live performance shows though It's all post JT. I also have a rare MTV documentary of the Joshua tree, they mostly play pool and go to country pubs playing gigs... It was good seeing Bono and Edge go to the cowboy shop to get their hat and boots. Ok I must stop downloading to much U2! hehe.

i heard some dance group doing a cover of one of their songs today... it was horrible!.

There is nothing worse than when eminem covered with or without you. I heard It a couple of years ago, I forgot what it's called. As for "Take Me To The Clouds Above" I think It's just plain boring.

I loved the Miss Sarajevo song, Pavarotti's voice is very haunting on that song. Video brought tears to my eyes....

Same here. It really is a beautifull song..

You get around the forums quite a bit, don't you oldrooster? I see you everywhere :)
