Your being surrounded with a society that speaks your native tongue has nothing to do with you putting your family's needs first and everything to do with the fortunes of circumstance. You didn't have to flee your home country because of war, crime, famine, or other desperate conditions and move to some place where everybody speaks a different language - you got to stay here in the relatively-safe US because you won a birth lottery.

And Im not ashamed of that. I was born in the greatest nation on this earth. Had a wonderful Norman Rockwell-esk Americana childhood. Two beautiful, loving parents, and a home. Im not embarrassed of that... Im thankful.

I don't really know what any of that has to do with anything.

This whole privilege crap. I have what I have because I worked and fought for what I have. I had a good childhood because my parents fought and worked for what they had.

Proper grammar please, it's the Democratic Party, please refrain from using the political epithet to insult people that hold a different political ideology than your own.

It was not intentional but you can get over it. I am intentionally called a Nazi, a racist, a bigot and all sorts of things on a daily basis. Deal with it, as I have to.

You didn't work or fight to be born in this country. You got lucky. Heck, you didn't fight and work for your good childhood - you got lucky there, too. Those things were given to you.

Now a bunch of immigrants have moved here - fighting and working in the same manner as you describe yourself and your parents fighting and working - and you begrudge some politicians for speaking to them for a few minutes, claiming that it somehow alienates you? Really?

Again, I don't think anybody should be ashamed of the benefits they've been handed in life, but being aware of them and gracious about them would certainly be nice. I really don't like busting out scripture in these arguments but the parable of the unforgiving servant seems applicable here:

Unlike the Republicans of course with their famed consideration for the little guy..

To be honest, I veiw our current political system as a two-headed snake. Feed either head you feed the same body. However RINO's are a bit more subvert, whereas Democrats are in the open about open borders, socialism and the like.

The first democratic debate for the President of the United States of American, for a large part was spoken in Spanish.
Out of 20 candidates only 3 spoke any Spanish at all oh, and the moderator asked Beto a question in Spanish.
They were in Miami after all where there is a very large population of Spanish speaking people.
What other politician spoke Spanish to the people who might vote for him? Jeb Bush. Trump criticized him for it but I suspect that's because Trump doesn't have any second ;) language skills.

....However, we are a English speaking nation.....
In this land there were lot of Spanish speaking regions (in addition to Indian languages) well before there was English..... where the Hispanic culture has remained in continuity to this day.

I didn't say you should be ashamed of it.

Ok... maybe not you.

You didn't work or fight to be born in this country. You got lucky. Heck, you didn't fight and work for your good childhood - you got lucky there, too. Those things were given to you.

And? How do you think my children got things? My work. How do you think my upcoming grandchild is gonna get things? My entire family and my daughters family.

Now a bunch of immigrants have moved here - fighting and working in the same manner as you describe yourself and your parents fighting and working - and you begrudge some politicians for speaking to them for a few minutes, claiming that it somehow alienates you? Really?

Didn't alienate me in the slightest. Im not a Democrat. It is my opinion that the Democrats have moved on to illegals leaving more traditional American constituents behind.

Again, I don't think anybody should be ashamed of the benefits they've been handed in life, but being aware of them and gracious about them would certainly be nice. I really don't like busting out scripture in these arguments but the parable of the unforgiving servant seems applicable here:

Regular daily life is not a benefit nor a handout. Someone worked for everything I had as a child. It was not magically granted to me.

And yet you said this:

There is a difference from a Governor, Mayor or other political figure and or official speaking Spanish so their citizens can understand them. However, we are a English speaking nation, and by speaking in Spanish concerning the American Presidency they alienated every natural-born American that was raised in this country to speak English.

So, who was alienated if not you and me?

Regular daily life is not a benefit nor a handout. Someone worked for everything I had as a child. It was not magically granted me.

But it was granted to you; you didn't work for it. These immigrants working for their kids, too - harder, in fact, than many of the natural-born Americans I've known.

They want illegal immigration to control the electoral college by votes tallied from population.
Tallied by popular vote (not population) made up of legal registered voters. You must be a US citizen to vote.
And? How do you think my children got things? My work. How do you think my upcoming grandchild is gonna get things? My entire family and my daughters family.
Not all privileges are about material things.

News flash.. dems are pushing to make it not a crime to enter illegally and for illegals to vote.

Also with out proper enforcement of voter logs, and an incorrect census of who is a citizen what is to stop illegals from voting? Kind of convenient huh?

Not all privileges are about material things.

What is this tangent about privilege? What does it have to do with what I brought up? That being that the dems are supporting defacement of American flags and supporting non Americans as constituents for the President of America?

You really think the census has to do with voting? That's cute.

What are you trying to say?

That your entire perspective on "American ideals, patriotism, ... America," and "the destruction of this country" is horribly flawed, self-centered, hypocritical, divisive, and more than a little insulting to a lot of people, natural-born or not. The sort of xenophobia you've espoused is more contrary to those American ideals than any immigration policy I've seen any Democrat put forward.

The census doesn't do anything to stop people from voting.

What is this tangent about privilege? What does it have to do with what I brought up?

It has to do with your claim that, by speaking Spanish for a few minutes, Democrat candidates "alienated every natural-born American that was raised in this country to speak English" You lucked out by being born into a country that speaks your native language and never having had to leave for one that doesn't. When some politicians tossed a bone to a different group that spoke something other than English, you got upset.

Well you cant realy track how many eligible voters voted in a district, if you don't have an accurate account of how many citizens are in that district. If there are only 200 citizens but 250 votes cast there is a problem. You cannot deduce that if your not allowed to record it.

Voter eligibility is determined when they register. Turnout rates among eligible voters are typically low enough that the scenario you described is highly implausible.

No, Hank, you are supposed to be a US citizen to vote--and that only applies to federal offices since non-citizens already have the right to vote in local races in some states. That will probably expand as soon as the numbers are right for it, since the supporters of the idea are already calling for it. And of course that is to say nothing of the tens of thousands of illegals who vote right now anyway.

Voters must register. They can compare how many registered voters voted no?
