Who's defending that?
One can only replace the American flag with a Confederate Battle flag.

Are you in politics? You some kind of senator or something incognito roaming the boards or just a normal average Joe like the rest of us?

Why is their a need to continually explain I believe the Democrat party has abandoned it's American constituents?

There is a difference from a Governor, Mayor or other political figure and or official speaking Spanish so their citizens can understand them. However, we are a English speaking nation, and by speaking in Spanish concerning the American Presidency they alienated every natural-born American that was raised in this country to speak English.

As has been noted, it was only a few minutes out of an hour-and-a-half broadcast. I would suggest that if you're alienated by the inclusion of people who don't speak like you, then the problem isn't with the politicians, it's with your self-centered perspective on what this country should look like. What I find amusing is that (IIRC) you and I have had some debates in the past about "privilege" and this assumption you described of your personal experience being the default and proper way that things ought to be is one of the core elements of "privilege". Everything around you has been catered to they way you are, that any deviation from that is jarring and perceived as special treatment for others, when in reality, they're only being given a tiny sliver of the consideration that you enjoy in abundance.

By people on the left replacing the American flag with a Mexican flag, and then Dems defending that action speaks volumes.
Since American stolen land. Maybe we should change the flag. To Native American roots.

Hopefully the protesters that took it way too far and defaced government property are prosecuted for their crimes.

This is the point where I would have to ask in all sincerity... does the Democrat party still support your personal views?

And here we go... we have to change everything about 'evil America'. You Republican? Voting for Trump? Lets try and establish what side of the spectrum holds your views.

What if I told you I am one of their American constituents and that I feel they represent my interests far better than what Trump and the Republicans have offered?

If you notice, however, none of those people appears actually to be wearing the flag or clothing that replicates the flag (I cannot tell, from the pic, what the Kid Rock outfit actually is, though).

For people who believe in respecting the flag, it is generally considered acceptable to wear or display something that looks similar but is not the flag itself. The Blue Lives Matter flag, for instance, isn't really an American flag with a special stripe imposed upon it, but everyone still gets the message.

Yes, for the most part they do. This may be hard to relate to you but I don't see the Democratic party as un-American or antithetical to my own views. Even at their extremes, it is an extreme expression of western liberal ideals.

It may be foreign to you but it's not un-American.

Too funny. I meant that in all honesty to try and garner some semblance of understanding my views. I do not veiw individuals as evil, democrat or not. I do not believe those in office even represent their constituents any longer. They represent themselves at others expense.

God bless America? Where your allowed to have your own opinion and pursue your own life?

A poster might question why one musician cutting a hole in the flag and sticking his head through said hole would not be considered wearing said flag.

English is not the official language of the US.

Wado udohiyu utsati oginali (thank you very much, my friend). I truly appreciate your sentiment. And since you mentioned a flag with Native American roots, I thought I would offer some suggestions.

You're kidding, right?

For people who believe in respecting the flag, it is generally considered acceptable to wear or display something that looks similar but is not the flag itself.

Well that's a conveniently charitable interpretation of the flag code that ought to assuage the cognitive dissonance of conservatives and country fans who wish to cheer on their favored stars-and-stripes-adorned personalities while also bashing athletes for their unconscionable disrespect.

Too bad that's not what the code actually says:
USFlag.org: A website dedicated to the Flag of the United States of America - United States Code
§176. Respect for flag
No disrespect should be shown to the flag of the United States of America; the flag should not be dipped to any person or thing. Regimental colors, State flags, and organization or institutional flags are to be dipped as a mark of honor.
  • (d) The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery. It should never be festooned, drawn back, nor up, in folds, but always allowed to fall free. Bunting of blue, white, and red, always arranged with the blue above, the white in the middle, and the red below, should be used for covering a speaker's desk, draping the front of the platform, and for decoration in general.
  • (j) No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform.

Everything I enjoy in abundance is because I put my families needs before any and all, including myself. Call me selfish. I love my family more than I even know yours, and will fight for my own families interests even in contention to your own ideals. And I will bust my butt to do so. I am also not a week willed man. I am willing to suffer, and endure hardships for those I love, and my way of life..

I realy do not care about your opinion about privilege. I also do not care if you do not approve of my way of life. This is why I never spoke to you to ask for permission before I did so.

Your being surrounded with a society that speaks your native tongue has nothing to do with you putting your family's needs first and everything to do with the fortunes of circumstance. You didn't have to flee your home country because of war, crime, famine, or other desperate conditions and move to some place where everybody speaks a different language - you got to stay here in the relatively-safe US because you won a birth lottery.

I don't really know what any of that has to do with anything.

Im talking about the democrats in office. I do not believe they care one iota about you, your dreams, wants, needs, anything. All they want is power.

Unlike the Republicans of course with their famed consideration for the little guy..

English is not the official language of the US.

In fact, there isn't an official language.

Historically speaking, English is a foreign language in this country. Before the Europeans invaded Turtle Island in droves, the Indigenous population didn't speak English. So, if Republicans want to properly assimilate in Turtle Island, then they will have to learn to speak Cherokee, Navajo, Apache, Lakota, Paiute, Shoshone, Pawnee, Creek, Kiowa, Choctaw... I could go on for awhile with this.

Proper grammar please, it's the Democratic Party, please refrain from using the political epithet to insult people that hold a different political ideology than your own.
