That’s not correct. His summary was not misleading. He wasn’t asked if he knew of “Mueller’s concerns.”
And your likely retort, which you made in the other thread, isn’t compelling. “Crist: Reports have emerged recently, General, that members of the special counsel's team are frustrated at some level with the limited information included in your March 24 letter, that it does not adequately or accurately portray the report's findings. Do you know what they are referencing with that?
Barr: No, I don't.”
That’s not the same as asking about Mueller’s thoughts.
Mueller's letter included the following:
"As we stated in our meeting of March 5 and reiterated to the Department early in the afternoon of March 24, the introductions and executive summaries of our two-volume report accurately summarize this Office's work and conclusions. The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office's work and conclusions. We communicated that concern to the Department on the morning of March 25. There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations."
Additionally, the letter requested additional information - specifically summaries that Mueller's team had put together - be released to the public.
How could you not know that they are referencing the letter that Barr said when they asked " members of the special counsel's team are frustrated at some level with the limited information included in your March 24 letter".
Mueller is part of "Mueller's team", and his letter expressly articulated frustration with the limited information in Barr's March 24 letter. Moreover, Barr initially tries to claim "you asked about "members of the team", I spoke with Mueller", but later claims he believes "the letter was probably written by someone on Mueller's team". He can't have it both ways. He's absolutely lying, and you joining in his semantic games doesn't give his excuses for his lies any more credence.
Just because the question asked to Barr didn't use the exact same language as Mueller's letter doesn't exempt Barr from disclosing it. He didn't swear to "technically tell the truth in a manner to conduct a narrative", he swore to "tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".
