  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I hope you found your key!

I haven't found mine. But my daughter called today. I told her I lost my cell phone. She said, "I'll bring it to you on Saturday. You left it in your granddaughter's car on Christmas Eve."

praise God!

My daughter brought me my cell phone. Now the landline isn't working. I have an urge to scream, but that won't fix the landline!
I pray for your problems to be resolved in Jesus name

I hit 67 last year -- and in 2021 retired then started doing some exercises... I can now do about 12 chin-ups at one time and can do about 100 in a day, so I am actually in better shape now as far as that exercise goes than when I was in high school. Thanking God for good health.
I beat you but don't tell anyone:)

Any strategies for slicing hard vegetables like butternut squash? Would an electric knife do the job? If so, which one? Or baking it whole until it's soft enough to slice and scope out the seeds then season? Or ?

Are butternuts really harder than pumpkins? I don't remember.

I used a very sturdy German butcher knife and had the squash on a wooden cutting board back in the early eighties. The only way hubby would eat it was with marshmallows or brown sugar, so that was the last time I bought one of those squash. This is how I recommend cutting it. Don't bake it whole.

This cleaver looks like it would work, too.

I liked my knife because with a thick blade I could actually press on the blade. I used the knife on rutabagas, too.
